The cleansing effectiveness of this product... I truly can't praise it enough! I usually use a lot of shimmer in my eye makeup, and most cleansing waters can't remove it well. But this product even removes the tiniest glitter particles! I'm giving it extra kudos for that. Freshness ★★★★★ Often, products with good cleansing power contain oils that leave a residue, but not this one! After cleansing, it leaves a refreshing feeling. I typically wear very light makeup, and even that thin layer comes off cleanly, leaving my skin feeling fresh and making the cleansing process enjoyable :) Sebum control ★★★★ As a sebum control cleansing water, it was perfect for my oily skin! I think this is one of the reasons why it feels so refreshing after cleansing :) Eye irritation ★ There was a slight eye irritation. But remember, folks, this isn't just water, it's cleansing water. Even regular water can sting if it gets in your eyes... Considering these factors, I think it's not too bad, so I'm only giving it one tear out of five :) These days, when masks constantly irritate our skin, pores can easily get clogged. That's when cleansing becomes essential! You know what else is essential? This product seems perfect for those with oily skin, and I think even those with sensitive skin can use it with peace of mind :) - hj*****Oily SkinRecommendedAug 21, 2020Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

First off, I'm satisfied with the cleansing effectiveness. It removed my stubborn mineral sunscreen completely. The scent isn't off-putting either. My skin doesn't feel immediately dry after cleansing. While it does have a fluid consistency, it's not completely watery. When you pat it, you can feel a slight moisturizing effect. There are no usage instructions, haha. I'm curious whether I should rinse it off with water immediately or if it's okay not to rinse. I haven't noticed any significant drawbacks yet. If I find any after using it more, I'll add them. I applied it gently using a cotton pad. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 21, 2020Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I have oily skin that becomes severely dehydrated during seasonal changes. Because of this, I used to feel tightness when using cleansing water after makeup, so I switched to cleansing cream. However, with Nivea's cleansing water, which has a specific formula for oily skin, I didn't feel any tightness at all after use! Previously, when I used mineral sunscreen, I had to cleanse two or three times with just a cleansing foam to remove residue. But with this cleansing water, I could easily remove even mineral sunscreen, leaving my skin feeling fresh. Fragrance: When you first soak the cotton pad with the product, there's an alcohol scent. Because of this, I usually wait a bit for the alcohol smell to dissipate before using it. Packaging: The cap isn't a screw-top, so I always had to be careful about leaks when carrying it around. Also, it was really difficult to transfer the product into smaller travel bottles. Apart from these issues with the fragrance and packaging, I'm very satisfied and using the product well! - ky********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 21, 2020Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

As I have oily skin and it's summer, my face gets sweaty and uncomfortable. I wanted to try something different from my usual cleansing water, so I'm leaving this review after winning the product. My skin type is oily in summer (it used to be extremely oily a few years ago, but now it's just oily) and combination dehydrated in winter. Even though I have combination dehydrated skin in winter, I feel cleaner using water-based cleansers for my first cleanse, and it's less oily than using oil or cream cleansers, so I use cleansing water all year round. 1. It removes makeup well. Due to summer sweat and oil, I rarely wear makeup these days and use Cosrx brightening moisturizer. (When I do wear makeup in summer, I mainly use Estée Lauder foundation.) Usually, I had to pay extra attention to remove about 90% of the Cosrx product during my first cleanse, but the Nivea product removed it better than expected! (I usually use The Saem Green Tea Cleansing Water) I was concerned about the brightening moisturizer feeling like it was stuck and hard to remove, but this product removed it well in the first cleanse, which was great. 2. It's moisturizing I thought it might be a bit drying since I chose the oily skin cleansing water when applying for The Hwahae Testers, but it wasn't at all! It feels moisturizing with just one layer? (The moisturizing effect is similar to The Saem, but I felt this one was more hydrating!) I haven't found any drawbacks so far! If there's one thing to be cautious about, it's that you might spill it if you open the cap incorrectly? However, the opening isn't as large as I thought, so I haven't spilled it yet. Personally, I've always felt that brightening moisturizers were harder to remove than foundation when using cleansing water, but this product removes it well. I think it would work better than my previous product even with foundation! Of course, in terms of value for money, The Saem is better, but Nivea also comes in a generous amount, so I think everyone will be satisfied! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 21, 2020Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

It removes makeup well. You don't need to rub hard; even gentle rolling motions are effective. Since it has a water-based formula, I think it would work really well with cotton pads! If you use cotton pads on your eyes, cheeks, and chin, it seems to remove makeup and sunscreen effectively. The cleansing power is truly top-notch~!! The downside is that I experienced some irritation.. It's not extremely stinging, but there's a slight burning sensation. This was quite disappointing considering its strong cleansing power. I'd recommend those with super sensitive skin to try other products~ However, it might be great for those with dry skin! I like to keep my skincare products in the fridge during summer~ Even though this is a cleansing product, you can take it out of the fridge before washing your face or showering. This way, it won't be too cold when you use it. Using it too cold might cause irritation~! - ke**********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRecommendedAug 21, 2020Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

As a result, I haven't had much time to use it extensively. I usually use products for at least two weeks before reviewing, so I'll write a brief review now and update it with more details soon. Please consider this as a quick reference! Regarding ingredients, I think there are both pros and cons. Compared to other products, the ingredient list is relatively simple, focusing on cleansing by eliminating unnecessary components. However, it's disappointing that denatured alcohol is the third ingredient, and PEG compounds are included. As someone with oily and sensitive skin, it didn't cause any major blemishes. However, during the few days I used this product, I made sure to double cleanse - first with this cleansing water, then with a cleansing foam. A positive point is that it doesn't leave the skin feeling dry after use. On the downside, possibly due to the oil content that provides this hydration, there's a slight slippery feeling left after cleansing. This is why I continued to double cleanse. As a cleansing product, its effectiveness is crucial. For a cleansing water, its cleansing power is impressive. Although I haven't done a thorough cleansing test yet, it effectively removes basic makeup like mineral sunscreen, foundation, and concealer. As mentioned earlier, there are some disappointing aspects in terms of ingredients. Especially with the high alcohol content, those with dry or super sensitive skin should be extra cautious when considering this product. While some reviewers mentioned that it's almost fragrance-free, I noticed a strong alcohol scent. Even after cleansing, a lingering scent remained, reminiscent of department store brand products. For a cleansing product, the fragrance is quite disappointing. The packaging isn't particularly user-friendly. I'll explore this aspect more as I continue to use the product. I'll be back with a more detailed review soon. Waiting for my update might be a smart move for those interested in this product! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 21, 2020Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I really liked how gentle and non-irritating it was. I have oily skin with large pores that tends to get shiny, so I was worried that using an oil-based cleanser might clog my pores. However, I'm pleased with this cleansing water because it's so mild. It's even gentler when used with a bubble maker container, so I preferred using it with a foam dispenser rather than cotton pads. It creates a rich lather, and the abundant foam helps remove makeup without irritation. It effectively removes lipstick and foundation. The downside is that it doesn't completely remove waterproof eyeliner or mascara, which is disappointing. You'll need to use a separate eye makeup remover for a thorough cleanse. Also, the cap design, which requires opening and closing with a click each time, is hard to get used to and feels a bit slippery, which is unfortunate. Other than that, I didn't find any other drawbacks. I was initially concerned about the high alcohol content, but I didn't experience any irritation. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 21, 2020Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested. This review is based on actual use as part of The Hwahae Testers: ✅ Sebum Control Effect Even without separate oil control during use, I felt like my sebum was being managed effectively! ✅ Gentle Formula While using it, I didn't initially think it was super gentle due to the slight alcohol scent. However, after a week of use, I didn't experience any major blemishes or small bumps, so it seems fairly mild! Just note that compared to other products with strong cleansing power, it's low-irritation but not extremely gentle. ✅ Fragrance When first applied to a cotton pad and placed on the face, there's a slight alcohol scent. But after a moment, it becomes almost unscented (you could say it's practically fragrance-free). Even those sensitive to smells should be able to use this comfortably. ☑️ Packaging It would have been much more convenient if it had a pump dispenser like other brands. As someone who wears makeup daily, removing it is far more tedious than applying it. The process of taking out the cleansing water, pouring it onto a cotton pad, and putting it back could be simplified to just pressing a pump against a cotton pad. This change would improve my quality of life tenfold! ☑️ Cleansing Effectiveness Being a gentle product, I didn't feel its cleansing power was significantly better than other brands. However, it removes most base makeup and color cosmetics well. It just struggles a bit with long-lasting color makeup or mascara. Still, considering its sebum control effect, I'm quite satisfied with this level of cleansing power! ☑️ Pore Tightening Although pore tightening is listed as one of the product's effects, I didn't really notice much improvement in this area during use. The formula is very watery, so using it with a sponge-type cotton pad torn in half works well without wasting too much product! Also, because it's definitely gentle, I often use it on a cotton swab to remove eye makeup. It doesn't sting my eyes much, making it great for the delicate eye area! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAug 21, 2020Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I was worried it might break, get dented, or crushed, but when I received the package, those concerns vanished. I really applaud the shipping as well. Cleansing effectiveness: It's not incredibly powerful, but it removes makeup cleanly. It doesn't come off in one go, but takes about two tries. Still, I think it removes makeup pretty well. Product dispensing: Controlling the amount is a bit tricky. It's the type that comes out with a 'poof' when you press it, which startled me at first. Removal: It wipes off cleanly without leaving residue or stickiness, which is great. Sebum & blemishes: It doesn't make them disappear completely, but I think there's a slight reduction. Drawbacks: I was shocked to see ethanol in the ingredients list... Scent: There's a strong ethanol smell. Inhaling it is giving me a bit of a headache... My skin type is oily but lacks hydration. I don't have acne or other blemishes. It effectively removes most makeup. In my case, I don't use mascara, but it cleanses my regular makeup thoroughly. It removes everything well, except for occasional stubborn eyeliner residue from lash glue when I wear false lashes. I'm not very knowledgeable about ingredients, but based on my skin's reaction, I didn't experience any tingling or blemishes. I haven't found any significant downsides yet, but the bottle is filled to the brim with a pop-off lid, so it might suddenly overflow. I guess that's both a pro and a con!
