mo*********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 5, 2020The staying power is incredible, and it doesn't smudge at all. Once applied and set, there's absolutely no smearing even when rubbed. It just sets perfectly without any fading or transfer...!!! On a hot, humid day during the rainy season, I applied this over a dewy cushion foundation, went out, and even after sweating, it stayed put!! It truly doesn't budge even when touched or rubbed. It doesn't transfer to your hands at all either. Of course, it's great that there's no excess powder, but because it sets so strongly, nothing gets into your eyes, making them feel really comfortable. Especially in this hot summer and humid rainy season when eyes tend to get irritated easily, I didn't experience any of that - it felt like I wasn't wearing anything on my eyes at all. Applying it is surprisingly easy..! Usually, the biggest drawback of liquid types is that they're difficult to apply, hard to control the amount, and tricky to shape or gradient. But this one is easier to apply than expected and goes on beautifully..! I've tried several liquid shadows before but always ended up not reaching for them, but this one is really good and quite different from other liquid shadows. I bought it at Sephora, and the staff said the applicator was designed based on a deer antler (?), made to fit the eye perfectly, and it really does hug the eye and applies beautifully!! Today, despite it being extremely humid and hot due to the rainy season, I walked around a lot outside and even got caught in the rain, but it stayed intact and didn't run into my eyes..! Even when I touched my eyes, it stayed put. It's almost like applying lip lacquer to your eyes. It's perfect for the rainy season, midsummer, and water activities. The color is great too..! It's not too intense or flashy, but has just the right amount of pigment to define the eyes, so this alone is enough. My eyes are slightly hooded and a bit dull, so I usually need to use various products, but this one is sufficient on its own. Usually, using just one product is either too sheer or too intense, making eye makeup look heavy, but this hits the perfect middle ground. It's not a faint, barely-there color - it defines the eyes and makes them look bigger and less puffy, but it's not an overwhelming color either. It's a soft brown tone that's just perfect. It looks great when applied along the double eyelid line. It's a small thing, but the packaging design is quite unique and flat, making it less bulky than expected. It's light and small, making it great for carrying around. First off, being a liquid formula, it's not as easy to shape and work with as powder eyeshadow applied with a brush, and it's harder to create various expressions!! However, it looks pretty good even with just one color applied, and above all, it's a product that's focused on longevity, so this drawback feels somewhat acceptable. I bought it at Sephora, but the product was a bit messy, which made me uncomfortable.. The box wasn't even sealed with a sticker, which made it feel even more unsettling. Apply it slightly towards the inner corner from the center of the eyelid, following your eye shape to the outer corner, and end with a slight angle at the end for a perfect shape. Don't rub it at this point, instead pat it gently with your finger to even it out and soften the edges. Patting works better than rubbing. Rubbing with your hands tends to remove the product, create patches, and make it harder to control! Instead, use a sponge tip applicator, or use the built-in applicator to shape and apply from the start, then pat gently with your fingers. Make sure to pat immediately, or it will set!!
