It's gentler than alkaline cleansers but more effective than mildly acidic ones. It's great to use as a body wash alternative.
ConsI think it's due to the zinc oxide ingredient, but it gets stuck in the pores and causes one or two blemishes. Also, it leads to rashes on some parts of the skin. I absolutely can't use it on my face. When the rashes appear occasionally, they're uncontrollable.
TipIf you use Dove first and then remove the zinc residue with a cleansing water, you can prevent blemishes.

It's based on personal experience and my own opinions. Please use your judgment when reading. 1. Scent It's nearly unscented, but if you get close, you can detect a slight soap smell. 2. Why I started using it I've always been inclined to support eco-friendly products, even if they're a bit pricier or less convenient. I figured this would be a good choice because it doesn't create plastic waste, it's economical (or so I thought), and the ingredients seemed harmless. Plus, I'd heard you shouldn't use shower poufs, so not having to deal with that waste was another bonus. That's what led me to give it a try.
Cons1. Eye stye Recently, my immune system has been weakened due to chronic fatigue and irregular sleep, though I always maintain good hygiene. I happily started using this soap as a face cleanser too, wanting to streamline my routine. But I developed a stye that very day. I looked up the ingredients afterward. I'm prone to styes even from applying sunscreen incorrectly, for reasons I don't understand. It turns out this soap contains a lot of pore-clogging ingredients often found in sunscreens. I went to the eye doctor... The only change in my routine was switching to this soap, and I hadn't even been out much due to a holiday. I know zinc and other ingredients are included for their anti-inflammatory effects, but they seem to be very problematic for my eyes. I wanted to toss it immediately, but since this was my all-in-one solution for face and body, I had nothing else on hand. I stopped using it on my face right away. 2. Clogged drain The drain got blocked. Why is this a con? When I cleared it out, I found it was clogged with hair and soap. The soap was binding the hair together. I was shocked... First, I was surprised that the soap doesn't dissolve well in water. Second, I noticed blemishes on my back. If it can clog a drain, it's no wonder it can clog my pores. From then on, I started wasting more water. Feeling uneasy, I began rinsing for longer than usual. 3. Environmental impact I started using this for environmental reasons, but ended up creating more waste through medical treatments. Moreover, you need to use a lot of it. It might seem cheap per bar, but when you consider how long it lasts, it's not that economical. I typically use one bar in 1-1.5 weeks. A bottle of body wash used to last me over 2 months. Realizing this, and considering how much undissolved soap is going down the drain, I started questioning the benefits. I've changed my mindset and decided to just buy refills for my usual body wash to minimize waste. 4. Skepticism about online reviews I knew everyone's skin is different, but all those recommendations, even from dermatologists... I'm just focused on finding what works for my body and sticking with it forever.
TipThe soap I used was the German-made Sensitive Beauty Bar.

There's less tightness in the skin after cleansing.
ConsMaybe because my skin is super sensitive, I got rashes and blemishes after cleansing. I'll have to switch to using Dove White Beauty Bar. If you tend to have sensitive skin, I wouldn't recommend this.
