I've been using Dove beauty bars for over a year now, rotating between different ones. A friend of mine with super sensitive skin that easily gets irritated and itchy couldn't use the famous soap she was using before. When she tried this one, she said it seemed to work well for her. Occasionally, when the bar is almost used up, it doesn't lather as well as it should. I noticed a thin white thread-like thing in the soap bar I was using. When I tried to remove it, I realized it was actually part of the soap's manufacturing process, running through the center of the bar and impossible to remove. It makes me a bit uneasy that this is how the soap is made, and I'm not sure if I want to keep using it. If I can't find an alternative, I'll probably continue using it, but that's why I'm deducting two stars. The Dove beauty bar seems to be gentle enough for those with sensitive skin, providing effective cleansing without causing irritation. However, the manufacturing process might raise some concerns for particular users. I've been using Dove White Beauty Bar for a while, but I tried this Sensitive version because my partner bought it. I didn't find it noticeably gentler than the White Beauty Bar, which was already mild. The scent isn't overpowering, so it was easy to use without any issues. There's absolutely no irritation since it's fragrance-free, and after about two weeks of use, I noticed a reduction in my back acne. Sometimes it doesn't lather well. Also, since it's unscented, you miss out on that pleasant feeling while washing. I've been using this product for years now. It's a fantastic all-in-one solution that replaces both shampoo and body wash! I started using it to lighten my gym bag when I took up swimming, and I love that it has great ingredients and can do it all. That's its biggest advantage. The first couple of times I used it, I was a bit unsure because it doesn't lather as much as regular shampoo, and I wondered if its cleansing effectiveness was weak. But it seems like you just need a bit of time to adjust to it. Using a foaming net to work up a good lather makes it absolutely perfect! I'm too lazy to use conditioner or hair treatments, but my hairstylist said my hair is in the best condition among clients who don't do any special hair care. That's pretty impressive! When I used to use strongly scented perfumed shampoos, my scalp would always get itchy and turn red easily. But with this, I don't have any of those issues at all. The scent is very subtle, almost non-existent. But personally, I don't really like overpowering fragrances anyway. I prefer to let the scent of my favorite body emulsion or perfume shine through, so I don't really see this as a drawback. (Even on days when I don't use any emulsion or perfume, there's absolutely no unpleasant odor.) A foaming net is a must-have!
