It's been sitting on my vanity for over a year, but I didn't see any significant results for my skin. After using it, I developed small bumps on my cheeks, like mosquito bites, on about 7 out of 10 occasions. Most importantly, it seems to fall short in its primary role of sebum control. - ns*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 19, 2025
I bought this on a whim because I had so many blackheads After using it, my nose feels incredibly smooth and squeaky clean It's great that I don't need to cleanse separately after using it The mint or alcohol scent is way too strong I get the feeling it might not be good for my face if I use it too much... I've used about half the bottle There's no dramatic "wow!" effect that I can see Seems like I need to make it a regular habit to see results? I found that Daiso sells nose pack sheets that work well with this product While using cotton pads is fine, these pre-cut nose-shaped sheets are more convenient to use - lh*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsJun 18, 2025
The pump dispenser seems hygienic, which is great. As someone with a lot of blackheads, I appreciate that it helps remove excess oil. It has quite a burning and tingling sensation... Also, the scent is a bit unpleasant. It doesn't seem to effectively remove sebum - I can't see any extracted oil even after leaving it on for about 15 minutes. Perhaps it needs to be left on longer. This review compares the positive and negative aspects of a skincare product, likely a pore-cleansing mask or treatment. The reviewer appreciates the hygienic pump packaging and its potential for blemish control, but expresses concerns about skin irritation, an unpleasant scent, and apparent lack of effectiveness in removing excess oil from pores. - jm*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 14, 2025
With summer here, my pores have been expanding and sebum quickly builds up after applying foundation. I bought this pore ampoule because I heard you need to clear out the pores first. Price: It's more affordable than other sebum softeners - I got it for $13.40 at Olive Young, which is quite reasonable. Effectiveness: After leaving it on for about 15 minutes, the sebum comes out on its own. Irritation: There's some tingling, but no itching or allergic reactions! Of course, there was some burning sensation, but it was much less irritating than the Medipeel softener I reviewed before. Since it's a chemical exfoliant, leaving it on too long could cause redness and harm your skin! The sebum comes out quickly, so I recommend only leaving it on for 10-15 minutes and then quickly removing it with an acne extractor or cotton swab. It's so effective at clearing pores that seeing all the holes left behind is a bit shocking... like looking at volcanic rock! For aftercare, I suggest using a soothing hydrating ampoule, then a modeling mask, followed by a pore-targeting ampoule, and finishing with a cream. I haven't tried it myself, but I've heard the Dr. Different Retinal is great for pores. I'm planning to try it soon - just something to keep in mind! - ps*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedMay 31, 2025
I've gone through about three bottles of this. It effectively softens sebum without causing any irritation. The cycle for blackheads to darken again is quite short. It doesn't seem to provide a long-term solution. - se***********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessRecommendedMay 22, 2025
I bought this to get rid of blackheads, and I'm so pleased with how well it dissolves them! It works better than I expected. There's nothing to complain about. I'm using it very effectively. - ju**********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsMay 15, 2025
Basically, I tend to have a lot of blackheads on my nose. I find it too much of a hassle to remove them using cleansing oil, so I tried using a pore softening product for the first time. I used it once a week, leaving it on for 20-30 minutes each time, with the product soaked in cotton. The only benefit I can think of is that I like the feeling of having it on, as it seems to help with Hwahae. The downside is that the sebum is not very well extracted. Even after 30 minutes of extraction, the extracted sebum is often not visible, and it just feels like the nose is being irritated. It's not that it doesn't extract at all, as you can press and scrape with the included extractor tool to get some out, but most of the time it doesn't come out well, so there's not much visible difference before and after using it. I've used about half of it, and at this rate I think I'd rather just use a different product instead. - cl*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 15, 2025
Compared to other products, it is not too stimulating and can be used. The disappointing aspect is that the price is high relative to the capacity. - ka********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 7, 2025
It's great for easy sebum control. Although the volume seems small, it lasts longer than expected. When I first used it, sebum visibly came to the surface, making it easy to remove. However, when I tried it again, it didn't have the same effect, which made me question its consistency. - kh*********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 5, 2025
To be honest, I had really prominent blackheads that wouldn't go away no matter what I tried. I've used almost every pore strip on the market claiming to be good for blackheads, but the effects were always minimal. So when I heard this nose pack was good, I gave it a try. The first time I used it, so much sebum came out! It's not a peel-off type, so it's less irritating, and the scent isn't particularly unpleasant - just a slightly floral fragrance. I loved that they included cotton pads too! You'll be amazed at how quickly the sebum is removed even after just one use! My blackheads tend to build up again after just a day, so I use it daily, and there's truly no irritation. That's why it's my holy grail! The formula comes in a pump bottle with a water-like consistency. Even with blemish-prone skin, I can use this nose pack daily, which is great! There are no downsides - it's a perfect product! Highly recommended! It's best to leave it on for 15 minutes! That's when the sebum really softens up and comes out well.
