It matches well with my shade 21 skin tone. While it doesn't completely conceal blemishes, considering how thinly the cushion applies, I think it covers quite well! It works fine for my oily skin, but my mom, who has dry skin, mentioned it feels a bit drying for her. For combination dehydrated skin types, you might want to layer a hydrating moisturizer underneath for better results. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 20, 2024
It brightens and clarifies your complexion beautifully. I highly recommend this for those who prefer a light application. It tends to separate a bit... It can emphasize dead skin cells, so make sure to exfoliate before applying. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 28, 2024
It applies very thinly to the skin and feels like it provides good coverage It seemed a bit matte for my face and started to separate quickly... I think I need to use it with a solid skincare routine - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinMar 10, 2024
As someone in their 20s with cool-toned 21 shade, combination dehydrated skin, redness, and super sensitive skin type: What I loved most was that it had the ivory tone I was hoping for, so my face didn't look yellow when applied! Also, the puff isn't round but has edges, making it great for detailed coverage around the nose, under the nose, and under the eyes without looking cakey. It felt matte but not completely dry, so it applied smoothly with hydration. The thin consistency made it easy to control the amount used. Overall, a really convenient product! While it was good at hiding redness, for a product known for its coverage, the cushion alone didn't conceal spot-like marks, so I had to use concealer as well. Although it didn't make my skin look lifted, there was some pore-clogging around the nose and forehead, which was a bit disappointing. Recommended for: - Those looking for a high-coverage product - Those who prefer matte cushions - Those with combination dehydrated or oily skin This is my personal opinion after using the product. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 27, 2024
I've been considering switching to a different cushion, but I'm applying the same criteria I used when I was obsessed with finding a new one to this product. Coverage: Medium to high. I usually use concealer for areas that need coverage and use cushions mainly for evening out my complexion. With this one, I apply it thinly, adjusting the amount, so I'm not sure about its exact coverage. However, it wasn't bad at all. It gave a nice skin finish too. Puff: Both the shape and compatibility are great. I prefer a semi-matte finish, and after applying sunscreen and cushion, which can feel a bit slippery, a few pats with this cushion puff leaves my skin feeling powdery soft. The hexagonal shape, rather than round, makes it super easy to pat under the eyes. I don't think I can go back to round puffs now! Longevity: Not bad. Only slight pilling on the nose in summer. This could be due to my oily skin type. Color: I never thought I was particularly fair-skinned (I'm not dark either. Bare face is 21 -> With makeup, maybe 19?) But when I apply this over sunscreen, it brightens my complexion naturally, and I've received many compliments on how fair my skin looks. It's not a ghostly pale, but a good kind of fair. Anyway, I love how it naturally brightens my complexion. It was decent in all aspects, so there's not much to complain about. If anything, maybe how it can look a bit messy around the pores on my nose after some time? But interestingly, it breaks down beautifully on the cheeks and cheekbones, giving a nice glow. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinDec 1, 2023
The coverage is excellent and it lasts really well! When you apply a small amount from the lid, it goes on thin and gives a beautiful skin finish. While the staying power is decent, when it does break down, it does so messily, requiring frequent touch-ups throughout the day. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSep 14, 2023
✓ Radiant color / Decent coverage with a clean skin finish / Long-lasting semi-matte formula ✓ Recommended for combination and oily skin types Color - A bright and radiant shade without any yellow undertones. When applied thinly, it creates a beautiful, luminous complexion that could be described as 'milky white'. The color stays stable throughout the day with no darkening (though as oil builds up over time, the cushion may melt, revealing your natural skin tone, which might be perceived as darkening). Skin finish - With medium-high coverage, it evens out the skin tone effectively without feeling heavy. It can be applied very thinly if desired, and while it doesn't adhere like tape, its smooth application makes it easy to blend. Once set, the semi-matte formula isn't as drying as you might expect. The final look falls somewhere between glowy, velvety, and silky - best described as a silky skin finish. It also works well for touch-ups, allowing for clean and easy reapplication. Longevity - It holds up well throughout the day and breaks down cleanly. Even in midsummer, it may melt slightly over time but doesn't become patchy, cakey, or messy. I'm currently on my third purchase of this cushion, having used up both the original and a refill. While it doesn't have any extraordinary standout features, it performs above average in all aspects with great balance. These days, finding such a well-rounded cushion is becoming rare, which is why I keep coming back to this reliable and comfortable product. The color is pretty, the coverage is good, it's not heavy, and most importantly, it doesn't break down messily. Interestingly, while it slowly melts with oil, it's surprisingly resistant to sweat, maintaining a clean base even when you perspire a lot. It should hold up fairly well even if it gets wet. Touch-ups might not be as easy as with a dewy cushion, but they're still clean and doable. In fact, when friends borrow this cushion, they often ask what it is. While there are many cushions these days with distinct concepts, they often fall short in one area or another. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants 'a moderately thin layer with decent coverage, neither too glowy nor too matte, but a smoothly finished skin look'. It's perfect for those seeking a balanced approach to their base makeup. ✓ Not recommended for dry skin / Lingerie shade not suitable for redness-prone skin / Doesn't pair well with mineral sunscreens For those with dry skin or planning to use it in winter, it may start to look patchy over time. In these cases, a glowy cushion would be a more comfortable choice. And yes... I have redness-prone skin. I previously used the Linen shade but found it a bit dark for my skin tone, so I switched to Lingerie. While Lingerie matches my brightness better, it can sometimes look too pale over reddened areas. The semi-matte formula can accentuate this paleness, so if you have fair skin with strong redness like me, sticking with the Linen color might be more stable. Also, due to my sensitive, redness-prone skin, I use mineral sunscreens. While this cushion performs well on its own without caking or clumping, when applied over mineral sunscreen, it tends to settle into pores over time. The product itself is good, but it's important to consider these factors when using it. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSep 1, 2023
It absorbs so thinly! It's incredibly lightweight. The puff doesn't soak up too much product and applies it evenly, which is great. Despite the thin application, it covers pores quite well. The puff also has angled edges, making it easy to apply thoroughly in hard-to-reach areas. Perhaps because it applies so thinly, it doesn't last very long. After applying in the morning, it's gone within 1-2 hours on my commute... I suppose I could keep reapplying? But in the evening, it's difficult to reapply due to excess oil. It's a bit of a dilemma. The 'Lingerie' shade appears quite bright, so using it all over the face might make you look a bit washed out. I think it would work well when used together with the 'Linen' shade. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJul 27, 2023
It applies so thinly and beautifully enhances my skin that I've been using only this for months now. As I have dry skin, it felt a bit matte and drying, but if you moisturize well beforehand, it really goes on beautifully without smudging. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 7, 2023
It absorbs thinly. The puff is pleasantly bouncy. Great for on-the-go use. While it applies lightly, the coverage is lacking. It tends to break down easily. There's no powdery finish either. I won't be repurchasing.
