Hwahae provides excellent coverage for redness, and also offers a subtle brightening effect. It was a bit too matte for my complex skin type, unfortunately. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinJan 2, 2025
It's great at covering redness and flushing. The product applies smoothly and feels lightweight on the skin. Apart from a few blemishes that popped up, I can't really think of any downsides. - Hwahae UserDry SkinDec 17, 2024
Even with a small amount, it provides great brightening and coverage while adhering well to the skin. I used it before and decided to repurchase after a while. It's just as good as I remember! It instantly brightens my complexion as if I've turned on a fluorescent light, which makes me feel great! Plus, the price is so reasonable! There's nothing to complain about! Some might say the volume is small, but the price is so affordable that you can easily stock up on multiple tubes. So really, there are no downsides! It's incredibly versatile - you can mix it with darker BB creams or foundations to brighten them up, making it super useful! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 1, 2024
1. Application #Makeup_Compatible #Redness_Coverage #Evens_Skin_Tone True to its makeup base nature, it plays well with other cosmetics. It spreads easily at first, then feels like it's adhering to the skin. It can lighten quite a bit, so be mindful of the amount you use. For evening out skin tone alone, a thin layer works well. It's decent for covering redness, but don't expect miracles - it won't completely mask it. 2. Results #Reduced_Darkening #Flawless_Complexion Makeup applied over this base doesn't darken over time. It seems to improve makeup longevity too. It's not too oily, making it great for oily skin types. It balances oil and moisture well. It evens out the overall complexion - being green-tinted, I thought it would only cover redness, but it also neutralizes yellow undertones and adds a healthy glow. Interestingly, as a cool-toned person, I find warm-toned makeup suits me better when using this base. I've used it consistently across all seasons with great results. 3. Recommended Skin Types #Oily #Combination As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I'm very satisfied and think similar skin types would benefit. The ingredients aren't completely gentle, so those with super sensitive skin should be cautious. 4. Value for Money #Affordable #Generous_Amount Unbeatable value and quantity! This is why I can't give up this makeup base. Students, I know it's hard to spend a lot on cosmetics. Get it at a great price on Cou*. One purchase lasts ages. I wear makeup daily and even apply this base to my neck, yet it lasts so long I never worry about running out. The ingredients could be better. They're not the gentlest, but that's often the trade-off for good performance. All things considered, I think the formulation is acceptable. When there's a noticeable color difference between your face and neck after applying makeup, it can look unnatural. Try applying this to your neck as well as your face. It's not too sticky, so it's comfortable to use. If you're still concerned, set it with powder for a matte finish. It also provides sun protection, so I use it on my neck in place of sunscreen. Even on makeup-free days, I've noticed my neck looks a bit brighter. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 29, 2024
The Hwahae Testers love how well it covers redness on the cheeks! It also applies smoothly and evenly on the skin. I'm not sure if I'm applying it incorrectly, but it tends to clump a bit. So when I layer foundation over it, the overall skin finish isn't as flawless as I'd like. To prevent clumping or pilling, don't overdo your skincare routine beforehand. Apply a thin layer and it should work better! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 15, 2023
The color is lighter than expected, but it still covers redness well! It also has a brightening effect, so when I'm feeling lazy, I just apply this instead of foundation. Plus, the quantity is generous for the price, which is great. This alone doesn't provide full coverage! You'll need to use foundation to completely conceal blemishes. It can feel a bit drying, so I wouldn't recommend it for those with dry skin... If you apply this after calming your skin with skincare, it's less likely to dry out or look patchy. That's pretty obvious advice though! The photos show after application, before application, and the amount used (I applied this much twice). - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 11, 2023
I don't usually use makeup bases, but I tried this affordable product. When I have severe redness, I apply a thin layer before foundation. It covers well and lasts long. Given the very low price, there's not much to complain about. Of course, if you apply too much, it will look cakey and pill. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 28, 2022
1. When your foundation is a bit dark, applying this first brightens up your complexion. 2. It's quite effective at concealing redness. 3. Among makeup bases, this one is the most budget-friendly. 1. The ingredients list could be better. 2. The price has been creeping up gradually. However, you can still find it at a reasonable price online. - Hwahae UserOily SkinJun 26, 2022
Affordable and great for covering redness. It has a nice brightening effect, so when I'm too lazy for a full face of makeup, sometimes just applying this evens out my complexion dramatically. You need to be careful with the amount you use. Even a small amount provides significant brightening, so if you apply too much, your face might look unnaturally pale compared to your neck. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinApr 28, 2022
Coverage: It definitely brightens my complexion and provides good coverage for my rather reddish skin tone. Adherence: When applied thinly with a puff, it adheres firmly to the skin. Application: It goes on smoothly and naturally, absorbing well into the skin. Longevity: The staying power is noticeably weak. While it initially provides decent coverage, you'll find that it's barely there when you check later. It's not a bad product as a makeup base. Since the main coverage comes from foundation anyway, it works quite well for evening out skin tone and lasts a decent amount of time for that purpose.
