That's what I love most about it. Other cleansing oils used to irritate my skin and cause blemishes, but since I have super sensitive skin, this one works great for me! It's amazing at removing waterproof mascara - just one application of this oil and my makeup comes off so easily.
ConsWhile it's perfect for me, those who prefer a squeaky-clean feel after cleansing might find it a bit inconvenient. Especially for those with oily skin, the slightly slippery texture might not be ideal. Keep that in mind when you're considering ordering!

Compared to other oils, this one has a much thinner and lighter texture. It's also fragrance-free, which is great for these dry times when we're prone to blemishes due to mask-wearing. It's gentle and doesn't cause irritation.
ConsEven though I have dry skin and don't particularly like that squeaky-clean feeling, this product leaves a slightly slippery residue after rinsing with water, which doesn't feel completely refreshing. This aspect might be polarizing - it could be a definite drawback for those with oily skin or those who prefer a squeaky-clean feel. On the plus side, my skin does feel less tight after cleansing. When comparing using this product alone versus double cleansing with a foam cleanser, my skin definitely felt drier after double cleansing. The cleansing effectiveness seems good, as my exfoliating toner pad shows no residue after use.
TipWhile there's no need to remove lip products separately, eye makeup like eyeliner requires an eye makeup remover for thorough cleansing.

I used to prefer that squeaky-clean feeling, but I found it made my face too dry. In my teens and early 20s, my skin would quickly produce oil after cleansing, so it was fine. But now, in my late 20s, my skin stays dry, so I prefer a moisturizing finish. I think people who like hydration or those who usually wear light makeup will enjoy this. While it doesn't completely clear whiteheads and blackheads in one go, I noticed they seemed less noticeable from the first day of use until today, my final review day. When emulsifying with water, I can feel the sebum coming off like sand on my fingertips. Living with redness for over a decade and having super sensitive skin that stings and burns easily with the wrong products, this cleanser didn't cause any of those issues. It seems as gentle as it is effective at cleansing.
ConsIt runs quite easily, but since you need to pump generously with any oil cleanser anyway, it doesn't really bother me. The trade-off for not leaving your skin feeling stripped is that its cleansing effectiveness isn't particularly strong. You'll need to double cleanse for heavy makeup. Part of the fun of oil cleansers is watching them turn white as they emulsify, but this one doesn't get very opaque. If you're someone who believes a proper emulsification should be really white and thick, you might find this a bit disappointing.

Skin type: Sensitive combination. Prone to blemishes with many pores on the forehead, T-zone, and nose. Thin skin in the U-zone. Skin condition fluctuates with the seasons. Why I use cleansing oil | For managing dead skin cells, sebum, and blemishes. I've found that regular exfoliation helps manage blemishes and improves skin absorption, even when layering moisturizers. While I use toner pads every morning and evening, I wanted a gentle way to manage dead skin cells and sebum during cleansing. Scent and texture | Nearly fragrance-free with a water-like consistency. There's a slight oil scent, but it's not bothersome during use. It's almost fragrance-free. The texture is the opposite of thicker cleansing oils - it's watery and flows easily like a liquid toner. User experience | Gentle exfoliation without irritation. I use two pumps for my entire face, gently massaging with light pressure. Twice a week, I focus on areas prone to dead skin cells (chin, between eyebrows, forehead, cheeks). It's especially satisfying to feel the dead skin cells coming off my chin - so refreshing! It's too early to judge its effectiveness on blackheads, as they require time and effort to treat. I'm optimistically continuing to gently massage around my nose area. The emulsification process is subtle (a fleeting milky color when water is added), and the post-cleanse feeling is ambiguous, making me question if I've cleansed properly. Since I usually double cleanse with cleansing oils, I recommend following up with a low pH cleanser. Post-use feeling | Leaves a protective film-like sensation. After rinsing, my palms felt like they had a film on them. This might be why it's considered gentle and non-drying. Overall impression | Gentle but the after-feel might be polarizing. It exfoliates well while providing a gentle cleanse. However, using it alone might not give you that thoroughly cleansed feeling. My current cleansing routine: Morning: Water rinse or Equalberry Sauna Cleanser Evening: Pyunkang Yul Deep Cleansing Oil (1st cleanse), Equalberry Sauna Cleanser (2nd cleanse)
Cons• Those who prefer a squeaky clean finish after cleansing might not be satisfied. • It seems suitable for those who typically wear sunscreen or light makeup. For heavy makeup, I recommend using a cleansing water before this product.
Tip• Try using it as an exfoliator on specific areas. I mainly use it on my chin, between eyebrows, nose, and around blemish-prone areas. (Proper exfoliation prevents blemishes, so I'm always on high alert for any signs of breakouts.) • The simple and clean packaging design makes me want to reuse the bottle for kitchen soap once the cleansing oil is finished. I believe a design that encourages reuse is important.

This review is based on my personal experience and thoughts while using the product. While I'm not an expert on ingredients, I checked the Hwahae app and it seems there's nothing harmful in the formula, which is great. The scent is just a subtle oil fragrance. You can barely notice it unless you're really trying to smell it. I couldn't detect it at all until it was right under my nose. The texture is quite runny. It's thinner than what I usually use, so it tends to drip a bit. It feels incredibly lightweight on the skin, but I did notice some small blemishes appearing after use, though not too many. It doesn't completely eliminate blackheads or whiteheads, but it does seem to help somewhat. I feel like it's giving my skin a bit of a 'reset'. As for cleansing power, I can't really comment since I've never used it with makeup on and I always do a second cleanse anyway.
ConsI felt like it didn't emulsify very well. Other products I've used tend to get really creamy during the emulsification process, but this one doesn't have that feeling. It seems like it doesn't quite emulsify completely. After cleansing, I still felt like there was a bit of oil residue left on my skin. A second cleanse is definitely necessary. Sometimes, even a second cleanse doesn't feel like enough. Though that might just be because I prefer that super clean feeling. The pump is convenient, but it doesn't dispense a lot of product at once, so you need to pump it several times. As I mentioned earlier, it's very runny, so it tends to drip everywhere. Also, as I said before, I developed some small bumps on my face. Since this oil is the only thing I've changed in my routine recently, I'm wondering if it doesn't agree with my skin. If it gets worse after a few more uses, I might have to stop using it. It doesn't seem to suit my extremely oily skin, but it might work well for those with dry skin.

The description mentioned hyaluronic acid and panthenol, which I felt contributed to the lasting hydration! Perhaps because of this, I didn't experience any breakouts. Good stuff! + Fragrance-free Since my skin became more troubled, I've been scrutinizing every ingredient, so fragrance-free is a must^^ + Lightweight formula I was intrigued by how much thinner and more water-like this oil is compared to others. I wondered if it was even an oil, but when using it, I found I needed less product to cleanse effectively than with other oil cleansers! + Deep cleansing Despite its thin consistency, I was skeptical about its deep cleansing abilities. However, it removed my Clio mascara without a separate remover. My first impression was completely wrong - it's absolutely a deep cleanser! + Emulsification It emulsifies well too! I know I'm repeating myself, but the texture is so water-like that I didn't expect good emulsification. But this one emulsifies perfectly!! I've been a nomad when it comes to cleansing oils, trying every popular brand out there. But this one makes me want to repurchase. In fact, many famous products didn't suit my skin... I'm really satisfied with this light, hydrating cleansing oil for winter!
ConsSo far, I haven't found any downsides... I have no complaints about its cleansing power, emulsification, potential for causing blemishes, or residue. - However, those who prefer a squeaky-clean feel after cleansing might not like it. If you're stressed about blemishes and feel anxious about any residue, you might not enjoy this product! But I've learned that milia actually need hydration, so if you read the product description carefully, you might be convinced like I was!

Cleansing effectiveness Check out the photos for cleansing power! It removed foundation and cushion with just one cleanse. Blush, glitter, eyeshadow, and pencil liners were also thoroughly cleansed in one go. Even long-lasting lip products came off quite well. However, mascara needed two cleanses, while pen and liquid liners weren't completely removed even after two washes. I recommend using a cotton swab for liner residue. 2. Design I value product design highly. The transparent blue bottle with a Pyunkang Yul sticker has a unique, soft texture. While the sticker may come off when wet, the simple design and see-through bottle are definite pluses. 3. Fragrance The scent might be divisive, but despite being sensitive to fragrances, I found it very subtle and pleasant. 4. Texture Its thin consistency is great for removing base makeup like foundation and cushion. I even tested it on palm wrinkles, and it seeped in effectively, cleansing thoroughly.
Cons1. Eye irritation I experienced some eye irritation when removing eye makeup. It's best to use a separate lip and eye remover for eye makeup. 2. Residue I dislike the oily residue left by cleansing oils, and this product did leave some behind. While it's expected from an oil cleanser, this one felt particularly slippery afterwards.
TipIf you dislike oily residue, I recommend following up with a foam cleanser after using this cleansing oil. For blackhead removal, consistent use is key. The lightweight texture of this cleansing oil makes it suitable for oily skin types who enjoy oil cleansers.

The texture is a bit thin, but when applied to dry hands and massaged in, it dissolves makeup nicely. When emulsified with warm water, you can feel it deep cleansing. The best part is that I didn't get any blemishes while using it! It's not harsh on the skin at all.
ConsIt doesn't give an intense squeaky-clean feeling. You'll probably need to follow up with a cleansing foam for a second cleanse. I'll need to use it a bit longer to be sure, but so far so good. I'm prone to breakouts if ingredients don't agree with my skin, but I haven't experienced any issues!
TipMake sure to use dry hands! And be sure to emulsify it well with warm water (not lukewarm) for the best results!

A mixed bag, if you will. Cleansing effectiveness: The emulsification process is a bit ambiguous, but ultimately, after removing makeup, the skin is left clean. Texture: When squeezed onto the hand, it has a fluid consistency and spreads smoothly on the face. Despite its high natural oil content, it's not thick, making application gentle on the skin. Hydration?: It doesn't exactly provide a moisturizing feel, but rather reduces dryness. There's a strong sensation of an oil-like barrier. The lack of a fresh feeling might be polarizing.
ConsUser experience: The emulsification process is relatively short. Unlike other cleansing oils, it produces less of that milky water and disappears quickly. This makes you question if it's effectively removing makeup, and leaves an oil-specific sticky film on the face, making it feel like the makeup hasn't been properly removed. While I'm not looking for that squeaky clean feeling, the oily residue is so strong that when I tried to remove it with an alkaline cleansing foam for a second cleanse, my skin barrier collapsed, causing a major skin flare-up.
TipPersonally, I found using a low pH cleansing foam to be less irritating. Due to uncertainty about makeup removal, I tend to use a generous amount. I'll likely use it up quickly but won't repurchase.

Cons- After cleansing with water, there's a lingering slight slickness as if a thin film remains unwashed, so for those who prefer a squeaky clean feeling like me, double cleansing was necessary - For testing, I tried just water cleansing 2-3 times without double cleansing for about 3 days, and while hydration was fine, I got blemishes on my cheeks, so double cleansing seems right for me - It's said to be excellent for blackhead and sebum removal, but I couldn't feel any removal at all - maybe due to lack of technique. I'll try using it after a steam towel - While the ingredients are healthy, it's completely unscented, so I miss the aromatherapy aspect - Feel the need for double cleansing with heavy makeup - I think this might be more suitable for those with normal to dry skin rather than people like me with large pores and sensitivity to blemishes from oil cleansing
