The eco-friendly paper packaging was not only beautiful but also came with a postcard explaining the product - talk about attention to detail! In summer, with high humidity and sweating, I personally prefer using a concentrated ampoule for simple hydration and nourishment rather than layering multiple products. I skipped toner and applied this ampoule right after cleansing. The pump dispenser is convenient, and the texture isn't runny, so it's easy to spread and absorbs well into the skin. As someone sensitive to fragrances, I appreciated that it's unscented. After a week of using it followed by a moisturizer before bed, I can definitely feel my skin becoming more supple. It seems to give strength and balance to tired skin, like a wake-up call for your complexion! While I'll need to use it longer to be sure, I feel like it's gradually strengthening my skin barrier. I'm hoping it'll also help even out my sun-tanned skin from beach trips. I'll keep using it consistently!
ConsSince I applied the ampoule directly to bare skin without any other base products, I noticed a couple of small blemishes around my mouth area. Once I spotted the blemishes, I started applying moisturizer first around my mouth after cleansing, followed by the ampoule. This seemed to calm things down noticeably within a day. Despite its gentle ingredients, it seems my particularly sensitive skin around the mouth area might need an adjustment period...
TipSince the ampoule is packed with nourishing ingredients, I made sure to pair it with a hydrating moisturizer rather than a rich cream. For those of you who, like me, experience deep dryness after cleansing, I recommend using a hydrating moisturizer right after the ampoule. This combo seems to tackle both hydration and nourishment in one go!

Due to seborrheic dermatitis, my skin barrier is thin and super sensitive, so I'm cautious when switching to new cosmetics as my skin can become red. Finding gentle whitening/brightening products can be really challenging because they might cause irritation. I've even had to stop using the A* product I was already using! This is the most hydrating functional product I've tried. Even in this sweltering heat, I didn't feel much dryness when I applied just this after my toner. If I apply a very thin layer of moisturizer, my skin stays hydrated all day long. Despite not being a light essence, it absorbs well and doesn't cause pilling! I can't find any faults with this essence, so I highly recommend it to those with combination dehydrated skin and deep dryness.
ConsFor oily skin, it might feel a bit heavy to use in summer. The level of hydration seems just right for oily skin in winter. While it's generally non-irritating, my skin is extremely sensitive, so it became slightly red. **Follow-up review) After using this, my face feels a bit itchy, and it seems like my pores are clogged, causing some blemishes... It might be too strong for my skin!!

ConsExperience: It caused a tingling and burning sensation, which suggests it might not be suitable for my super sensitive skin
TipTip: Apply a calming serum first, then layer a small amount of this product on top to reduce irritation
