After using cleansing waters for over a decade, I decided to try this emulsion, thinking it might be gentler and more effective. I researched for days before purchasing. This product contains ingredients that protect the skin from friction. When I tried it, I was pleasantly surprised - it spread easily over my entire face without any noticeable irritation and left my skin feeling hydrated. It applies smoothly like an emulsion should. I didn't experience any eye irritation or stinging, which is a huge plus. Initially, I found it a bit inconvenient to use on dry skin, but I realized I could simply adjust my shower routine to accommodate this. After my first use, I noticed a few small blemishes pop up, so I'll keep using it a few more times to see how my skin adjusts. Fingers crossed for no further issues! I did notice a few small blemishes after the first use. It's possible I may have been a bit too vigorous, massaging for over a minute. I'll try reducing both the cleansing time and pressure in future applications. After applying and massaging, there's a brief emulsification process. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 5, 2025
The texture is quite fluid! Since it's a milk cleanser, it might not be as effective as an oil cleanser when used alone. That's why I use a separate eye makeup remover, then this, followed by a cleansing foam! It's a bit of a process, but I noticed that when I used oil cleansers, I would often get blemishes. However, since switching to this cleansing milk, my skin always feels hydrated after cleansing. Dewytree seems to be a brand that works well for me, so I'm currently on my second purchase! Above all, I love how gentle it is!! I have combination skin with an oily T-zone and butterfly zone, so if you have a similar skin type, I'd definitely recommend giving this a try~!! When used alone, the milk texture can leave a slightly unsatisfying feeling. I think this is more about my personal preference than a flaw in the product... I can't think of any significant downsides. Even though it's a milk cleanser, make sure to emulsify it properly~! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMay 4, 2025
It's wonderfully hydrating. The price is reasonable. You get a generous amount of product. Compared to Innisfree's cleansing milk, it's less viscous. As a result, there's a bit of irritation when rubbing it in. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinApr 29, 2025
Reason for purchase: I needed a gentle cleanser due to my skin inflammation. I was previously using an oil cleanser! Pros: The texture feels incredibly hydrating, and my skin inflammation has subsided. The cleansing effectiveness is satisfactory, removing everything except mascara. I feel like I'd need to follow up with a cleansing foam for a second cleanse to feel completely clean! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 23, 2025
It rolls on smoothly with a light, hydrating texture. The ingredients seem gentle and beneficial. While its cleansing effectiveness might not match that of cleansing waters or oils, I think that's an inherent limitation of cleansing milks. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 13, 2025
I bought this because I heard milk is great for protecting the skin barrier, and it's fantastic! It provides hydration and feels amazing on the skin! I wish the bottle was a bit larger, and it would be nice if they included a refill option - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 12, 2025
✓ Truly gentle on the skin For those sensitive days when you can't use just anything, this cleanser removes makeup without irritation and feels soft on the skin. I loved that it didn't sting around the eyes and mouth. ✓ No dryness after cleansing! There's absolutely no tightness, and it leaves skin feeling hydrated. Usually, I had to apply emulsion right after cleansing, but with this, I can take my time. ✓ The subtle fragrance isn't overwhelming I appreciated that the scent isn't artificial. It feels suitable for men to use as well. ✓ Struggles with heavy makeup While it removes sunscreen and brightening moisturizer well, it doesn't completely take off thick cushion foundation or lip tints in one go. You might need to double cleanse. ✓ The emulsification process might be a bit tedious You need to add a bit of water to emulsify for better cleansing, which could be inconvenient on busy days. Tip: For best results, apply to dry hands and face Initially, I used it on a wet face and it felt slippery and didn't cleanse well. Massaging it on dry skin first, then adding a little water to emulsify works much better. Tip: Perfect for sunscreen or light makeup For those who typically wear minimal makeup, this cleanser alone is sufficient. Tip: Double cleansing is optional As someone with combination skin, I lightly cleanse my T-zone again with foam. If you have dry skin, this cleanser alone should be enough! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 11, 2025
The cleansing effectiveness isn't particularly strong. It's not sufficient for hard-to-remove sunscreens. After using this, you'll need to follow up with a cleansing foam. It seems capable of removing organic sunscreens, but for hybrid or mineral sunscreens that are difficult to remove, this alone isn't enough. It's great for sensitive skin and leaves a nice level of hydration. The cleansing power is a bit lacking. The scent is slightly off-putting, but it's mild enough to be tolerable. This cleanser alone is sufficient for easy-to-wash-off sunscreens or organic sunscreens. You don't need to use a cleansing foam afterwards. Of course, to achieve this, you need to use a generous amount, massage thoroughly everywhere, and rinse well. For hybrid or mineral sunscreens, use a cleansing foam after this. A mildly acidic cleansing foam is often enough. For truly stubborn sunscreens, using a cleansing oil is the most effective method. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinApr 9, 2025
This was my first time using a cleansing milk, and I've been using it consistently without any major blemishes. I even repurchased it. The finish is moisturizing, so it doesn't cause deep dryness, and it removes sunscreen and BB cream well. It's gentle and non-irritating. I recommend it for those who wear light makeup. When my skin condition isn't great, especially due to dryness, I find that milk cleansers work well. It's also affordable when purchased on Coupang. It doesn't remove color makeup well, especially in areas with contours. For example, the T-zone or sides of the nose. In these areas, the milk itself doesn't wash off and leaves white residue. Sometimes I end up scrubbing too hard, which can cause irritation. For my combination dehydrated skin, it was fine to use just the milk without a second cleanse for up to 3 days. But after 4 days of sole use, blemishes started to appear. The experience varies greatly depending on the weather and skin condition. Rather than using it daily year-round, try using it when your skin is super sensitive or during dry seasons like fall and winter. Also, I recommend not using it alone if possible, and suggest using a cleansing foam at least partially. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 7, 2025
It's a solid choice that's easy to use. I love how it keeps my skin hydrated and doesn't irritate the delicate eye area. I'm not sure how well it removes mascara or eyeliner.
