Ingredients ★★★★★ The ingredients are fantastic! There are no allergens, making it perfect for worry-free use. User Experience ★★★★★ I researched how to use it online before trying. I saw advice to use 3 drops for oily skin and 5 for dry skin, but I think 3 drops are enough regardless of skin type. I used 3 drops and was satisfied - it felt light, non-greasy, yet provided sufficient hydration.
ConsAcne (I usually get one or two blemishes every week) Not sure if it's because of this product, but on the 5th day of use, I got 4-5 blemishes. I've paused using it and will try again once my skin calms down. Price Honestly... I'm not sure if I'd pay this much for regular use. I might consider repurchasing if it's on sale, but the price is quite steep.
TipIf you're unsure how much to use, I recommend starting with 3 drops and gradually increasing if you feel it's not enough.

Pros: Hydration: It's incredibly moisturizing! Usually, when I use my regular moisturizers in winter, my face feels slightly tight in the morning. But with this oil, I wake up feeling hydrated. It's like the oil locks in the moisture, keeping my skin nice and supple. Quantity: At first glance, the bottle seems quite small. However, you only need a tiny amount as the oil spreads easily over your entire face. Be careful not to use too much! The bottle looks full of oil, but if you look at the bottom, you'll see the glass is quite thick. This means there's less product than it appears, but a little goes a long way.
ConsCons: Facial blemishes: On the very first day of use, I developed red, itchy blemishes that looked like mosquito bites. I continued using it, thinking it might be due to something else I ate, but new blemishes kept appearing. I stopped using it after about 5 days. My boyfriend was fine when we used it together, but it seems this oil doesn't agree with my skin. Sebum and oiliness: Perhaps because it's an oil, I noticed increased sebum production from my pores after using it overnight. When I don't manage my sebum well, I get that slightly rough feeling around my nose and nearby areas - that's exactly how this made my skin feel.
TipI highly recommend using only a tiny amount of oil on areas that are already oily. Also, many people find that oils don't suit their skin, so please check the ingredients carefully before purchasing. I would recommend this product to those with dry skin who usually don't react to most skincare products.

However, this Squalane Barrier Oil completely changed my preconceptions about oils. I always thought all oils would be extremely heavy, sticky, and suffocating on the skin. But this one surprised me - when you drop it from the dropper, it's so lightweight it almost runs off. It absorbs without any stickiness, leaving a fresh finish. I was really impressed by that aspect!
ConsSince I have combination dehydrated skin that leans oily, there were times when I misjudged the amount or used too many skincare products, which resulted in blemishes the next day.
TipI think this works great as part of a nighttime routine. I found it effective to use about 3 drops as the final step of my evening skincare. On nights when I use the oil, I swap out my rich cream for a light, hydrating emulsion instead!

As someone with very oily skin, I never even considered oil-based products. On the first day, I noticed a few small bumps on my chin, but after that, it was quite good! I expected the oil to have a heavy texture, but it was surprisingly lightweight and felt refreshing to use. My skin is super sensitive and usually turns red and tingles with the slightest incompatibility, but I didn't experience any of that!
ConsThere wasn't anything particularly disappointing, but if you don't control the amount well and apply too much, it seems like small bumps might appear slightly.
TipWhen used before bed, my skin feels hydrated and not dry in the morning. Also, for someone like me who dislikes oiliness, applying a moisture-rich cream before using this oil worked really well!

However, I did appreciate how smoothly it applied and how well it absorbed into the skin.
ConsMy husband used it, but unfortunately, it actually caused more blemishes on his face.
TipFor dry skin, try mixing it with a soothing gel and then applying another layer. This should help prevent dryness.

I have combination dehydrated skin prone to blemishes and small bumps depending on my body condition. My skin is also super sensitive and reacts quickly to new products! My skin doesn't agree with pore-clogging ingredients, stearic acid, or shea butter, but it loves fermented ingredients. I usually avoid applying for products with ingredients I know don't work for me, so this review might be a bit positive, but I'll try to be as honest as possible! I hope this helps those with similar skin types to mine. My summer routine was Dermatherapy Skin - Bifida Ampoule - Cynic Emulsion - Beyond Aqua Cream. In winter, I switched to Mochi Skin for extra hydration and added Vitamin C oil before my moisturizer. I recently bought a Vitamin C ampoule but stopped using it due to breakouts. Luckily, I was chosen as a Hwahae Tester and started using this product! I apply about three drops to my palms after my moisturizer and pat it all over my face like a final protective layer. It really feels like it's coating my skin! At first, it felt a bit heavy and slightly transferable, probably because it's an oil-based product. But amazingly, after about 10 minutes, it absorbs completely with no residue. Winter has been extremely dry, and I haven't perfected my winter routine yet. But when I use this for night care, I notice a difference in my skin texture the next morning. My skin is quick to show results, so I always check my skin texture the morning after trying a new product. It definitely improved! After two weeks of consistent use, even though I feel extremely dry at night, my skin doesn't seem to get flaky. I'm still a bit cautious about increasing the amount, but I'll reassess after using it a bit longer. So far, I'm very satisfied with the results after two weeks of use! As someone with oily skin, I was initially wary of oils. However, if you control the amount well, it's a product that can be used without feeling heavy! I started using Vitamin C ampoule for brightening, and I noticed this product also contains Vitamin C. I'm not sure if it's because of this, but before writing this review, I felt my skin looked brighter after cleansing, which made me happy to write this review! The price seems reasonable, especially for those who don't use large amounts like me. Thanks to this product, I think I'll be able to maintain healthy skin this winter!
ConsAs an office worker, I wear makeup almost every day. It feels a bit heavy to apply in the morning, so I only use it for night care. I think it might be okay if I let it absorb fully before applying makeup, but so far, I've been in a rush to put on makeup and leave for work. When I come back in the evening, I usually find a small blemish. The blemishes do subside after night care and sleep, but I'll need to use it more to be sure about this effect. For now, I plan to use it only for night care. Also, it's hard to tell whether the blemishes are due to wearing masks or the product in the current situation... I'll leave another review after using it for a longer period!

My skin started feeling tight, so I decided to give this a try! Oil-based products are usually a no-go for my skin, so I was hesitant about using something with oil. I started by mixing just 1.5 drops into my moisturizer. The results were amazing! The deep dryness disappeared completely. When I pat it in, it absorbs well without any stickiness, leaving my skin feeling fresh and hydrated.
ConsIf you have oily skin, you might want to start with just one drop and gradually increase the amount as you monitor your skin's reaction. Unfortunately, I didn't get the amount quite right at first and ended up with a few small blemishes. As a precaution, I avoided using it on areas with active breakouts or redness!
TipI've also started mixing a few drops into my body lotion - it's great because now I use less product overall. It's become a staple in my skincare routine, not just for my face but for my whole body!

But after winning a chance to try this as part of The Hwahae Testers for a week, I was pleasantly surprised! It wasn't as heavy as I expected. While it did cause a small blemish on my naturally oily nose, it felt great on my cheeks and neck. I think it would be perfect for those with dry skin! I'd definitely recommend it. It absorbs quickly, and the hydrating effect lasts a long time, making it easy to use without worry. The dropper makes it simple to control the amount, and I love the bottle design! It's also fantastic for body use. My calves are usually very dry, but this worked wonders. It's excellent for all-over body application!
ConsNot recommended for those with oily skin... It could potentially cause blemishes!
TipI highly suggest using it on your body - it's definitely effective...

In winter, my cheeks get very dry while my T-zone remains oily, making it challenging to manage this combination skin. That's why I personally only use face oils during the winter months. The cold winter weather had left my cheeks feeling dry and flaky, but this product eliminated that tight, parched feeling. The dryness and flakiness disappeared to the point where my skin no longer felt rough or cracked. Also, I personally don't prefer skincare products with strong fragrances, so I really appreciated that this one is unscented.
ConsEven though I applied it sparingly on my oily T-zone, I felt like it might have caused some small blemishes to appear. Personally, I don't usually prefer very rich products, and while this one wasn't as oily as others I've tried, it still didn't absorb as quickly as I'd like, which made it feel a bit heavy on my skin. Also, in terms of value for money, it's a bit pricey for the amount you get. However, the ingredients are so good that I'd recommend it for those with extremely dry skin.
TipMany people use oil as a final step after applying cream or emulsion. For those who, like me, don't enjoy an oily feeling, you can mix just one or two drops of the oil into your cream or emulsion before applying. This way, you can use a face oil without making your skin feel too rich, while still combating dryness.

I usually avoid oils like the plague, except for the ones that are truly amazing. Being combination, using AHA/BHA makes my skin painfully dry, but using oils makes it way too greasy. I was looking for just the right amount of hydration to balance my skin's oil and moisture. That's when I discovered the 'Squalane Barrier Oil' which claims to create a moisturizing protective barrier and provide deep hydration. I applied to be a Hwahae Tester, got selected, and here's my review! The Squalane Barrier Oil is said to form an antioxidant moisturizing barrier without irritating weakened skin! It's great for strengthening the skin barrier and providing deep hydration, especially for sensitive and dry skin. My experience: My routine is toner -> sheet mask -> squalane oil 1. Texture 4/5 Being an oil, it absorbs slowly, but once it does, it doesn't feel heavy and leaves the skin perfectly moisturized! As someone with combination skin, if my oil-moisture balance gets disrupted, my face turns into a mess. So I usually avoid oil products, but this one isn't as heavy as most oils, making it less burdensome! Since I'm on the oily side of combination, I only used about 2 drops. + It's completely fragrance-free! As someone who prefers unscented products, I'm satisfied with this. The packaging is nice too! 2. Ingredients 5/5 The main ingredient is organic sugarcane squalane oil, which is similar to the skin's natural lipid structure, making it great for skin protection! If this oil really suits you, you'll probably see amazing results... The quality of ingredients is definitely top-notch!
Cons3. Blemish occurrence 3/5 Personally, no matter how good the ingredients are, if it doesn't suit my skin and causes blemishes, it's absolutely unforgivable... On day 1, I was really satisfied because it didn't feel heavy after absorption, unlike most oils! But the problem started on days 3-4... Whether it was due to my diet or something else, my skin, which had been doing okay, suddenly went haywire... It's really frustrating... While it might not be solely due to the squalane oil, since I started using it, I've been getting red blemishes that don't come to a head or disappear. Sigh... So I've temporarily stopped using it. Things are slowly improving, but it's not easy to get it under control. I guess it just doesn't suit me. 4. Value for money 3/5 While the ingredients are really excellent, 38,000 won for 30ml is... wow. Of course! Since you use it with a dropper, a few drops at a time, it won't run out quickly, but it still feels expensive. Unless your skin absolutely can't live without squalane, you might want to add it to your cart and wait indefinitely for a sale period... Hmm.
TipI think it might be really burdensome for people with blemish-prone or very oily skin... Of course, the ingredients are incredibly good, but there's a chance it might not suit everyone... And since it's an oil, when you first apply it, it absorbs slowly, so if you don't pat it in several times, it might remain heavy on the skin, potentially causing more greasiness and blemishes. I'd recommend this to those with dry skin who don't have particular blemish issues but want to strengthen their skin barrier and boost hydration!
