The scent is polarizing, and the texture leaves a bit of residue on your hands, so you need to use it sparingly.

I bought this a few months ago at duty-free with some leftover foreign currency, but I was a bit disappointed. The scent wasn't my style, and the texture meant I had to wash my hands right after applying it to my hair, which made me less inclined to use it. Other Aveda products are great, though! I suppose using it is better than not using anything at all, right? Overall, it's a product that doesn't quite live up to its price.

Even with frequent coloring, hot perms, and flat iron use, there's no visible damage - whether to the naked eye or under machine inspection. It's great for at-home hair care. Make sure to use the Sky Light Oil along with it. Also, the overnight treatment is a game-changer.

While the original Damage line left my hair feeling soft, the Botanical version doesn't have the same effect. When I asked about it, they said it's due to the bond-repairing ingredients.

I've been using Daisy Repair consistently for 10 years, but switched to Bond Repair for its faster results in improving hair cuticle and split ends. It definitely keeps my hair bouncy even after a hot perm.

I use it before and after drying my hair. It makes fine hair healthier. Even a small amount leaves my hair shiny. It helps manage hair damaged by frequent perms and coloring.

I've been consistently using Aveda shampoo and conditioner, and this time I switched from Damage to Botanical for the first time. Personally, I preferred the herbal scent of this product over the Damage line. The texture is similar - it's like a thin emulsion, somewhere between a serum and an emulsion. This makes it easy to apply evenly and it absorbs well into the hair quickly. It's a solid choice with just the right amount of nourishment, absorbing cleanly and lightly!

There's nothing to complain about. Even the cap is easy to open, which is great.

The texture and feel are pleasantly light. It has a consistency between a non-thick serum and an emulsion, and doesn't leave any stickiness or clump up on one side of your hair, so I find myself reaching for it often. I think I'll use it up to the last drop! While it doesn't dramatically transform your hair like a mask pack might, it does make your locks look more settled and bouncy, and most importantly, healthier. For even more dramatic effects, it's best to use it alongside a mask pack. The scent is uniquely luxurious, blending Aveda's signature medicinal aroma with subtle herbal notes.

It's a shame how quickly you use it up. I wish they offered a larger size.

Even products that used to work well seem to lose their effectiveness once my hair escapes its 'puppy fur' phase. My hair tends to get damaged quickly and repeatedly, but this one definitely shows improvement. It's a time-saver too, so aside from the high price, it's pretty good.
