The scent is natural and not artificial, and the product feels refreshingly light when applied. There weren't any disappointing aspects. With consistent use, you'll notice an improvement in your hair texture. - lh*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 31, 2025
I bought this a few months ago at duty-free with some leftover foreign currency, but I was a bit disappointed. The scent wasn't my style, and the texture meant I had to wash my hands right after applying it to my hair, which made me less inclined to use it. Other Aveda products are great, though! I suppose using it is better than not using anything at all, right? Overall, it's a product that doesn't quite live up to its price. The scent is polarizing, and the texture leaves a bit of residue on your hands, so you need to use it sparingly. Apply just a small amount at a time. - mi*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 22, 2025
I've been using Daisy Repair consistently for 10 years, but switched to Bond Repair for its faster results in improving hair cuticle and split ends. It definitely keeps my hair bouncy even after a hot perm. While the original Damage line left my hair feeling soft, the Botanical version doesn't have the same effect. When I asked about it, they said it's due to the bond-repairing ingredients. Even with frequent coloring, hot perms, and flat iron use, there's no visible damage - whether to the naked eye or under machine inspection. It's great for at-home hair care. Make sure to use the Sky Light Oil along with it. Also, the overnight treatment is a game-changer. - st****Dry SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessApr 21, 2025
Advantages: - Convenient to use as it's a leave-in treatment essence that doesn't need to be rinsed out after shampooing - According to the staff, it's one of the more concentrated essences from Aveda, so a little goes a long way, lasting longer than expected Disadvantages: - Expensive - Doesn't seem to improve hair texture. Feels like applying body emulsion to hair ends would be more beneficial A mediocre product that's not worth buying with your own money, but acceptable if received as a gift - yj*******Normal SkinWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJan 13, 2025
I've been using Aveda products for nearly a decade, and I can't find a single flaw. It's my go-to brand! For severely damaged hair, a more oil-rich product might be more suitable. - ci****Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 22, 2024
(An honest review after using up the entire tube with my own money) - Fresh, signature Aveda herbal scent - Clean, tube packaging that allows you to use every last drop - Absorbs well without feeling sticky - Extremely lightweight formula (minimal improvement in hair texture) - Wickedly expensive When used together with Aveda hair oil, the fragrance lingers subtly throughout the day - ch*******Dehydrated SkinWrinkles/ElasticityRednessRecommendedFeb 27, 2024
I use it before and after drying my hair. It makes fine hair healthier. Even a small amount leaves my hair shiny. It helps manage hair damaged by frequent perms and coloring. It might feel slippery at first, but it's fine once absorbed. I recommend consistent use. - ma*********Dry SkinRecommendedFeb 10, 2024
Even with my hair that's almost completely bleached, applying this treatment before drying leaves my once-lifeless strands feeling moisturized and hydrated. It's quite pricey. I love the product itself, so there's not much else I can fault it for. - jo****Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRecommendedDec 4, 2023
I've been consistently using Aveda shampoo and conditioner, and this time I switched from Damage to Botanical for the first time. Personally, I preferred the herbal scent of this product over the Damage line. The texture is similar - it's like a thin emulsion, somewhere between a serum and an emulsion. This makes it easy to apply evenly and it absorbs well into the hair quickly. It's a solid choice with just the right amount of nourishment, absorbing cleanly and lightly! While it's generally a decent product, as someone with bleached and repeatedly dyed damaged hair, I felt the nourishment and hydration were a bit lacking for my hair type. To protect your hair from heat damage during the drying process, apply it to damp hair before blow-drying. For those with damaged hair like mine or very dry ends, applying a small amount after drying can help prevent tangles and improve overall feel. - a4*******Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 3, 2023
The texture and feel are pleasantly light. It has a consistency between a non-thick serum and an emulsion, and doesn't leave any stickiness or clump up on one side of your hair, so I find myself reaching for it often. I think I'll use it up to the last drop! While it doesn't dramatically transform your hair like a mask pack might, it does make your locks look more settled and bouncy, and most importantly, healthier. For even more dramatic effects, it's best to use it alongside a mask pack. The scent is uniquely luxurious, blending Aveda's signature medicinal aroma with subtle herbal notes. There's nothing to complain about. Even the cap is easy to open, which is great.
