The texture felt like something between a cleansing water, oil, and gel... It's a cleanser that's neither water, oil, nor gel, which is why I described it this way. I wondered if this was the linguistic challenge in describing a new product called 'cleansing serum'. I typically dislike cleansers that don't leave my skin feeling squeaky clean. However, as I used this cleansing serum daily, which comforts the skin differently from a cleansing gel, I found myself gradually warming up to it. I began to appreciate how much thought the developers put into creating this 'serum' concept for cleansing. While I'm washing my face with my hands, there's this not-unpleasant dissonance, as if I'm applying skincare rather than cleansing. This first encounter with a cleansing 'serum' was such an intense experience that I can only describe it as an 'out-of-this-world cleanser' rather than just another cleanser in this world. The product has a serum-like texture with a subtle soap scent, and it produces slightly less foam than a cleansing gel. When cleansing, it doesn't give that squeaky-clean feeling, rather it feels less thorough. It's different from the slippery sensation of a cleansing gel. I was intrigued to try a cleansing serum for the first time, and I'm impressed! It effectively removes sunscreen and leaves my skin feeling hydrated after regular cleansing.
