Cons✓ It's so mild that it's not effective as a first cleanse. ✓ When used with a cotton pad, it feels a bit slippery. -> The foam it produces can be slightly annoying.
TipSince it tends to foam up, using a foaming net might work better than cotton pads.

The generous amount is great for effectively removing light base makeup. After use, my skin feels hydrated without any tightness. Even when I vigorously wipe with a cotton pad soaked in this cleansing water, the slippery texture reduces friction, making it non-irritating.
ConsThis is a unique cleansing water formula that feels slippery and foams up - a first for me. I expected a water-like texture, but the added hyaluronic acid creates a foam. After using this cleansing water, rinsing with water is a must. I wouldn't recommend this for those who rely solely on cleansing water for makeup removal.
TipI recommend a double cleanse. At the very least, make sure to rinse with water afterwards.

It would be great for people with dry skin too.
ConsSince it's a hydrating type, it might feel a bit slippery. If you prefer a squeaky clean feeling, you might not like this.
TipIt was convenient and nice to use by pouring it onto cotton pads in a container.

I constantly deal with dry eye syndrome, and after LASEK surgery, I absolutely hate any eye irritation. But this product doesn't sting my eyes at all, which I'm thrilled about! I usually wear minimal makeup, maybe just lip balm or BB cream. Even on days when I don't wear makeup, I'm particular about cleansing. Using this cleansing water followed by a rinse with lukewarm water leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean without any residue. The label is designed to be easily removed after use, which is perfect for our environmentally conscious times.
ConsWhen I saturate a cotton pad and use it, it feels a bit slippery and forms something like foam. This is slightly disappointing.
TipOn makeup-free days, I found it great that a light cleanse with this followed by a lukewarm water rinse was sufficient for removing impurities!

That's why I prefer gentle, low pH products! I'm especially careful with cleansers as using the wrong one can quickly lead to blemishes or a tingling sensation, so I always opt for mild products. From the eco-friendly delivery, I could tell this was an environmentally conscious product. It was carefully packaged using paper covers instead of plastic. The packaging itself is also said to be eco-friendly. It's a 100% vegan product, free from animal testing and animal-derived ingredients! Perhaps due to its good ingredients, it wasn't irritating during use. I didn't experience any additional blemishes after using it either. As for cleansing effectiveness, I use cleansing water as a first step to remove stubborn or hard-to-remove sunscreen and makeup before a second cleanse. In this regard, the Rovectin Clean Marine Micellar Deep Cleansing Water seems to have excellent cleansing power. After using this for the first cleanse followed by a second cleanse, you can feel that all makeup is removed without any residue!! Most makeup comes off with just one swipe, and for a more thorough cleanse, you can follow the instructions on the back of the product - soak a cotton pad with the cleansing water and gently wipe as the makeup dissolves!
ConsThe biggest drawback is... it's just a bit 'bubbly', if you know what I mean. I'm not sure if it's just me, but there's a chemical scent reminiscent of dish soap or bubble solution. The texture is also very slippery, which makes me slightly doubt the quality of ingredients, despite them being reportedly good. Again, I'm not sure if it's just my bottle, but no matter how tightly I close the cap, the product leaks. So after each use, I have to wipe it with a dry tissue as it drips. As I mentioned, the texture is slippery, so dealing with leaks can be a bit annoying. Also, while not a major flaw, I've developed a habit of squeezing cleansing water bottles after using many different ones. However, this product's packaging is quite firm and doesn't squeeze easily! Overall impression - While the ingredients, eco-friendliness, and vegan aspect are good, personally, if I were to use something similar, I might opt for a different product with comparable ingredients.
TipBe careful when using as it can be very stinging if even a small amount gets into your eyes! I recommend applying it with a cotton swab for precise application.

The Hwahae Testers Review ♥ (For oily skin / Comparing with the Dokdo Cleansing Water I've been using regularly.) 📌Scent - Dokdo: 4/5 There's a slight fishy smell when it touches the skin. - Rovectin: 5/5 Some reviews mentioned a smell, but I'm not particularly sensitive and found it unscented. I can definitely say it has less of a scent than Dokdo, so those sensitive to fragrances might want to consider this. 📌Texture - Dokdo: 4/5 The cleansing water feels like it's absorbed into the skin immediately after wiping. The cleansed area dries quickly, and if you don't wash your face separately, the dryness intensifies over time. - Rovectin: 4/5 Though both cleansing waters look colorless and odorless, I thought they'd feel similar, but Rovectin's deep cleansing water glides along the skin rather than being absorbed! It was surprising to see foam while wiping - a first for me. There was no dryness even as time passed. The feel of these two products might come down to personal preference! I'd recommend Dokdo for those who prefer a cleaner feel, and Rovectin for those who like a softer texture. 📌Cleansing Effectiveness: 4/5 The cleansing power seems similar for both products! As expected from cleansing waters, they're suitable for removing light makeup as a first step. Both can remove light eyeliner left after a day out, but for mascara or lip makeup, you'll need a separate lip and eye remover. I usually wear light makeup with just base and eyeshadow, so this level of cleansing power was very satisfactory for me! 📌Packaging Durability - Dokdo: 3/5 The cap was too loose and weak. After dropping it once and spilling a significant amount, I always used it anxiously. I usually apply it with a cotton pad, but tilting the bottle would cause the contents to pour out, making it difficult to control the amount. - Rovectin: 5/5 While the container structure is the same, Rovectin's deep cleansing water cap is definitely sturdier! The cap design also allows for a controlled amount to be dispensed without spilling, which is great for managing how much you use.
ConsThere's nothing particularly bad, but as mentioned above, some people might not like the gliding texture, depending on their preference!

The scent is pleasantly mild.
ConsIt feels slippery, leaving me a bit uneasy after cleansing, as if it doesn't rinse off completely.

After comparing various products on Hwahae, I decided to buy this one. I previously used Bioderma Hydrabio, but this feels less slippery and gives a cleaner sensation.
ConsI have combination dehydrated skin, and when I use cleansing waters that are too rich and slippery, I tend to get blemishes. This product works well for me without causing any skin issues. However, compared to Bioderma, it leaves my skin feeling a bit cleaner, which might be why my skin looks slightly drier after applying skincare products post-cleansing.
TipI've been using this product for my nighttime cleansing routine.

While it's definitely calmed down since summer, the changing seasons have my skin condition all over the place, so I tried this cleansing water when my folliculitis was flaring up a bit. I usually only wear base makeup, so I primarily use cleansing water for my first cleanse. Since I use matte foundation, I generously soaked a cotton pad and wiped my face three times. The cleansing effectiveness is more than enough for those who only wear base makeup. I often just use cleansing water and go to sleep, and because I don't like the feeling of residue, I wipe three times. However, most of the makeup comes off after just two wipes. Also, since I have folliculitis-prone skin, I appreciated that this product is slightly acidic, which doesn't further aggravate my condition. Moreover, perhaps due to the hyaluronic acid in the formula, it kept my skin hydrated even in this dry season. Overall, it's a decent product for those with blemishes or folliculitis-prone skin to use without worry.
ConsOne peculiar thing is that when you use a generous amount of the cleansing water and wipe repeatedly, it starts to foam up and feels slippery on the face. I suspect this might be because it's made with deep sea water. However, this slippery sensation makes me unconsciously apply more pressure when wiping my face with the cotton pad. The foaming aspect might be a hit or miss for some people. Also, possibly due to the sea salt content, it stings a little if it gets into your eyes. It's not severe, but noticeable. My previous cleansing water (by B*oderma) didn't sting at all when it got into my eyes, so those sensitive to this should take note. Lastly, while the product itself is fine, the bottle cap is extremely stiff. Every time I need to open it, I have to use all my strength with my nails, so I hope this aspect can be improved.
TipI tried using it with cotton pads like other cleansing waters, but due to the product characteristics mentioned above (foaming and slipperiness), it seems more suitable to use it as a foam cleanser by dispensing it into a foaming bottle and using it without cotton pads.
