It's easier to use than oil or milk cleansers. Soaking a cotton pad and wiping my face was less of a hassle.
ConsThere might be some irritating ingredients for my skin, as I'm getting small blemishes. If it weren't for that, it would be perfect since it removes makeup well.

ConsI strongly advise against using this if you have super sensitive skin. Every time I used it, my skin felt a tingling sensation and I developed some blemishes. I tried to keep using it because I didn't want to waste money, but today my skin finally reacted badly, turning red and feeling painful and irritated all day. Even though I used it with a foam maker, it was still too harsh for me. I definitely don't recommend this to anyone with sensitive skin like mine.

I was able to cleanse my face gently and keep it hydrated.
ConsAlthough I don't have particularly sensitive skin, I felt a slight tingling sensation when I first used it. I didn't want to waste it, so I continued using it a few more times, and that feeling eventually disappeared.

ConsWow, I've never experienced such an immediate skin reaction to a cleansing water before. After using it, I applied toner and felt a slight tingling sensation. Then suddenly, my skin started burning intensely. When I looked in the mirror, my face was completely broken out! I bought this because the ingredients were supposed to be gentle overall, but I'm not sure what didn't agree with my skin. It's so disappointing...

ConsAround May, my skin flared up and I developed contact dermatitis. To cleanse with minimal irritation, I've been using cleansing water in a foam dispenser to create bubbles for cleansing. First off, I developed blemishes after using this product. When I was using another cleansing water (from a well-known brand B), my skin was showing signs of recovery. But since switching to this product, I've been getting breakouts on my chin and cheeks. I've only used it 3-4 times, but I'm not sure which ingredient doesn't agree with me. (I might be sensitive to hyaluronic acid... I had a bad reaction to a hyaluronic acid toner before.) Above all, the cleansing effectiveness seems really poor. While other reviews are positive, I find it truly disappointing. I only wear a hybrid sunscreen, but this water-based cleanser can't even remove that properly. I can't blame the ineffectiveness on using it as a foam, because my previous cleansing water (brand B - also used as foam) removed makeup thoroughly without leaving any residue. With this product, even after meticulous cleansing, it doesn't clean well, leaving my skin feeling uncomfortable. Other reviews mentioned eye irritation, but I didn't experience much of that (I absolutely can't use mineral sunscreens due to my sensitive skin and eye irritation).

The label on the container is easily removable, which is convenient. The cleansing effectiveness is decent.
ConsI switched to this from Bioderma because I felt slightly dry using that one. However, this experience made me realize that I should stick with Bioderma despite the higher price. It stings severely when applied to delicate areas like around the eyes. If you have super sensitive skin like me, I'd advise against using this product.

When I used this product on a cotton pad like a toner, I wasn't sure if it was working well since not much came off on the pad. However, when I followed up with foam cleansing, I noticed the mascara had mostly dissolved. After finishing my cleansing routine, my face was spotless without any panda eyes! Unlike balms or oils that leave a sticky or slippery residue requiring additional cleansing, this product left no trace behind. One cleanse was enough for thorough makeup removal. Post-cleanse, I noticed less tightness and my skin felt more hydrated when I touched it.
ConsI was too careless thinking it had no harmful ingredients. When I applied it to my eyes to remove eye makeup and opened them immediately after wiping, it stung quite a bit. You need to keep your eyes closed for a moment to let the water between your lashes dry slightly before opening them.
TipJust gently apply it over your eyes, wipe it off swiftly, and wait a bit before opening your eyes!

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsThis is a review from The Hwahae Testers ♡ First off, my skin type is combination dehydrated and super sensitive. When I use incompatible cosmetics, my skin turns red with tiny bumps appearing, and I can see an oily film forming. Usually, I do a double cleanse - first with Dr. Hedison Cleansing Oil Foam, followed by Dokdo Cleanser. This combination has been my go-to for a long time as it's the least irritating while effectively controlling sebum. (I'm explaining this to help those with similar skin types compare more easily!) However, I find cleansing oils quite pricey (in my opinion), so when I'm just wearing brightening moisturizer, I've been considering using a cleansing water. Luckily, I discovered a product I liked on Hwahae and was fortunate enough to be selected as a tester :) After trying it, what I found most satisfying was how non-irritating it is. When it touches the skin, it feels as comfortable as applying a regular toner, and it's almost fragrance-free while still cleansing effectively! It was fine to use around the eyes, and there was no feeling of dryness after the second cleanse, so I felt it was a product I could use comfortably. The next day, my skin condition was good, and it seemed to help even out my skin texture. When I apply makeup, it goes on more smoothly and evenly.
ConsUnfortunately, it seems that the act of rubbing with a cotton pad itself is irritating to my skin. If a product doesn't suit me, I usually know after using it once or twice. After using it for a few days, my skin became red and irritated along the thinner areas of my skin... So, just like I avoid exfoliating toners, it turns out cleansing waters are the same for me. Normally, when my skin reacts, I get small bumps in certain areas, but those areas were fine this time, so I don't think it's an issue with the product itself.

Even after cleansing with this water and leaving my skin bare for over 30 minutes due to being busy, I didn't feel any deep dryness. I think it's because it contains hyaluronic acid. 2. The ingredients are gentle. It's a vegan product, and the ingredients list is quite impressive. 3. Sleek packaging. The plastic is sturdy without being too rigid, and the design is clean and simple. (The cleansing effectiveness is average)
ConsUnfortunately, there's a downside that outweighs all these positives... Although it claims to be non-irritating, it severely stung my eyes when it got in them. Even though I have contact dermatitis, my previous cleansing water from another brand didn't cause this reaction. My face felt a burning sensation and became inflamed. This happened whether I used it alone or followed up with a full moisturizing routine. There must be some ingredient that doesn't agree with my skin... I ended up discontinuing use after only a short time.
TipThose with contact dermatitis or atopic dermatitis should be cautious. For reference, I never experienced these symptoms when using a popular French brand's cleansing water... And I hadn't changed any other skincare products except for this cleansing water. I strongly recommend doing a patch test first!

I usually use Bioderma and IOPE, but Rovectin takes the top spot for cleansing power. It removes makeup gently without leaving any residue. Even if you don't wash your face right away, your skin feels comfortable.
ConsBecause the cleansing power is so strong, I tried removing eye makeup with it, but it stung my eyes terribly. It's not a big deal though, since I use a separate eye makeup remover anyway.
TipI also use it in a foaming container. It's perfect for those days when I haven't worn makeup but haven't washed my face in a while and my skin feels oily.
