As a man with super sensitive skin - even more so than many women with delicate skin - my complexion can be quite unpredictable, even with high-quality ingredients. That's why I'll be extra meticulous in this review. The packaging features the classic dropper design typical of ampoules. Its clean aesthetic incorporates blue and coral accents, evoking a sense of healing and soothing associated with Madecassoside. Despite my extremely sensitive skin, this product noticeably calms my complexion without any adverse reactions. On the day I received it, I had just had laser hair removal, making my skin even more sensitive. Yet, it soothed my skin without any irritation. While even products free of common irritants and allergens can sometimes cause reactions, this seems to be exceptionally gentle, even among mild products. Regarding fragrance, I have rhinitis so my sense of smell isn't great, but it seems to be either unscented or very lightly scented. The texture is slightly thinner than typical ampoules - somewhere between a regular ampoule and a toner. It seems to absorb quickly, and after application, my skin feels firmer, indicating good absorption.
ConsIf you use too much, possibly due to the firming effect at the end, it might cause pilling and reduce the longevity of your cushion foundation. It could be just my skin, but it might be best to control the amount used or avoid using it before makeup application.
TipFor nighttime care, especially on areas irritated by face masks, applying an extra drop helps soothe the burning sensation.

However, it had a significant impact on the deep dryness that developed when I stopped using sheet masks. It has a slight viscosity, which might make it feel like it's not absorbing well, and there could be a slightly sticky feeling after it's fully absorbed. But if you finish with an emulsion or cream, it actually feels moisturized deep down!
ConsI recommend using it in the evening rather than both morning and night. Due to my skin type, I experienced some pilling when applying makeup after using it in the morning.
TipSkip the morning application. After cleansing in the evening, apply it generously before bed. You'll wake up to skin that looks like you've done a mask treatment, even without actually using one!

Without exfoliation, I tend to get a lot of white sebum buildup. My skin is prone to blemishes if I use even slightly incompatible skincare products or pore-clogging makeup. This means I have to be incredibly careful when choosing cosmetics and diligent with my skincare routine. On the bright side, I don't have many wrinkles. I mainly use serums in my skincare regimen. The A'PIEU Madecassoside Ampoule, containing only Centella Asiatica extract and Madecassoside, has been a game-changer for me. It's perfect for calming skin that feels hot - it works quickly to soothe. Remember, skin heat can accelerate aging! This product doesn't cause blemishes, calms skin heat, and I plan to use it consistently. It doesn't feel sticky, and while it doesn't absorb instantly, it moisturizes deeply after a short while. The dropper bottle allows for hygienic application if you're careful not to let it touch your skin. I use two serums as my base, but this one alone provides enough grip for makeup without pilling or caking. It's ideal for dealing with mask-related skin issues. While my skin has somewhat adapted to masks, I used to get redness and pimples when exercising or going about daily life with a mask on. Since using this product, I rarely experience redness, and I don't get pimples even when working out with a mask. I highly recommend this to those with sensitive, acne-prone skin with redness, or those who struggle with makeup sliding off due to excess sebum. I even applied it to my teenage son's pimple after popping it, and it calmed down significantly. The photo shows the state of his skin after application and absorption - originally, it was a severe, purulent acne. However, my son finds the dropper application a bit bothersome, so he doesn't use it often.
ConsThose with dry skin might need to layer a cream on top. To be honest, I'm mentioning this because I was asked to point out negatives. Even though I have oily skin, the areas around my eyes and mouth are dry. Still, I don't use a separate cream. I only apply eye cream in the evening. In the morning, I skip eye cream as it can cause my eyeshadow to crease.
TipInstead of applying a separate cream, I make sure to apply this product twice. After the first application is fully absorbed, I apply a second layer using a beauty device for better absorption. This keeps my skin hydrated all day without tightness, and my makeup applies beautifully.

Skin type: Combination, sensitive, thin skin, slight redness, no blemishes Will repurchase: Yes Detailed review: 1. Fragrance It's unscented, so there's no risk from fragrance ingredients and it's good for use without any preference issues. 2. Texture The formula is almost water-like, so it absorbs quickly and applies well! After it's fully absorbed, there's a slightly sticky residue. 3. Soothing effect I tend to have slight redness, so my cheeks become flushed with friction or temperature changes. That's why I've been using the 'EGF Ampoule (Sidmool)' with satisfaction, despite its high price for the volume. So initially, I used this ampoule without high expectations, but it effectively reduced redness with a slight cooling effect. I was honestly surprised! It also has a soothing effect while providing hydration, so personally, I felt this ampoule alone would be enough except during winter. Also, as I have sensitive skin, I appreciated that it was gentle without causing any irritation or blemishes!
ConsThere weren't any major downsides, but if I had to pick some: 1. Volume Even though I only used it in the evenings, the volume seemed to decrease quickly. I wish it came in a larger size. 2. Hydration As mentioned earlier, I find the hydration satisfactory except during winter, but those with dry skin might find it insufficient. 3. Texture I mentioned that it leaves a slightly sticky finish after absorption, so I don't use it in the morning. When I tried using it in the morning and applying sunscreen, everything pilled due to that stickiness. But this might just be my skin! Generally, I find that ampoules or essences containing hyaluronic acid cause my sunscreen to pill due to this stickiness. However, since I only used my previous EGF ampoule in the evenings as well, I don't have major complaints.
TipIf you have redness or need skin soothing, definitely give this a try! I think the soothing effect is excellent for the price.
