I've already been using a low-concentration retinol (Innisfree) and have adapted to it, so I've layered this on top. ☆You should always start with a low-concentration retinol☆ I applied a toner, then a low-molecular weight hydrating serum, and then this on top, and my skin didn't feel sensitized at all~ There was no redness or peeling or anything. When I apply it, my skin takes on a slightly yellow tone (because the cream is yellow), but oh well, it's evening so it doesn't matter! + Review after using it for about 3 weeks! Additional The concentration in this is lower than I expected. It's higher than Innisfree's, but still a bit shy of the effective amount? So after adapting, I started ☆applying it in two layers☆, and the effects are even better!!!!! I tried applying it in three layers yesterday, and even with my acne-prone skin, there was no issue ㅎㅎ The wrinkles on my forehead have improved a lot, and I'm so, so satisfied.
ConsThe delivery came with.. a huge plastic bag for the two retinol creams I ordered 😢 These days, they use more paper.. The area I applied it to was under my eyes, so in the evening there was a bit of eye irritation.
TipThe photo below is not of me using this retinol! After replenishing moisture and calming my skin, I've been consistently applying the retinol, and now I don't even need to go to the dermatologist. I originally went to the dermatologist and my skin got even worse, so I got a refund and used that money to switch to these skincare products, and I don't regret it at all ㅜㅜ

Excellent spreadability 2. No distinct scent, so suitable for anyone 3. Significantly less irritating than other Vitamin A creams 4. Contains not only retinol but also adenosine and other anti-wrinkle ingredients, so I believe it will be effective for wrinkle prevention
Cons1. May cause breakouts for sensitive skin types 2. Stinging sensation when applied too close to the eyes 3. The concentration of retinoid ingredients is not specified
TipFor oily skin types, I'd recommend applying this only to the areas you're concerned about wrinkles, not all over the face.

Since I have some pre-wrinkles around my nose bridge, I've always applied the leftover eye cream there. But this cream is specifically formulated for wrinkles, so I feel like applying it anywhere would help prevent wrinkles (haha). I don't know if it's just psychological, but I do feel a sense of relief knowing that it's made for wrinkles. If you're really concerned about wrinkles or interested in wrinkle prevention, I think this would be a great product to try! And the amount is really generous!! Even when I squeeze out just a little, it seems like it'll last a long time. This has a slightly fluorescent green tint, so it feels a bit like a medicinal product. But those who don't like that kind of texture may not enjoy it.
ConsI applied it yesterday, and it seems to have gotten into my eyes a bit. My eyes were stinging and kept watering ㅠㅠ Don't apply it too close to your eyes. And after reading the instructions carefully, there are quite a few 'don'ts' - it's a nighttime product, and for the first 2 weeks you should only use it every other day, and then daily after that. Of course, it's good that they warn you about potential skin issues, but for someone like me who hasn't used products like this before, it feels a bit overwhelming to have to keep track of all these rules for a month ㅜㅜ It also says to always wear sunscreen during the day and avoid exfoliating products, so does that mean I can't exfoliate at all for a whole year if I use this product for a year? ㅠㅠ I may have misunderstood something, but that's what's written on the packaging.
TipDon't apply it too close to your eyes, and use only a small amount!

Mineral-based ingredients generally work, but some plant-derived ingredients (such as mulberry extract) cause small pimples or itchy hives. Dry skin with uneven texture. - Motivation for Use: As I've aged (37 years old), fine lines have started to appear one by one. A friend recommended retinol and retinal, so I searched the ingredients on Hwahae and this cream caught my eye. I was a bit concerned about the centella ingredients, but since I didn't have an allergy, I decided to try it. - Duration of Use: 4 days, 4 times. The review period is quite tight... I can only use it at night, and I'm writing this review before I can even feel the effects. Please take this into consideration. - Spreadability: Spreadability is 5 out of 5. It's moisturizing and refreshing. The texture is similar to a famous eye cream brand, a bit thinner than an ointment. - Absorption: After application, the formula turns slippery, and it takes a lot of effort to get it fully absorbed. My skin type is extremely dry and doesn't absorb moisture well, so that might be the reason. Most skin types would likely absorb it better. I just leave it be, and in the morning, it's absorbed. - Wrinkle Reduction: The wrinkle-reducing effect is amazing. It's worth using just for this! I can't visually distinguish the difference yet, but the eye area wrinkles that were visible with makeup are no longer bothersome, so the effect seems significant! And this is after only 4 uses! - Soothing: The centella seems to be included for its soothing properties. In my case, I didn't particularly notice a soothing effect. I did get one small pimple after the third use.
ConsMy eyes felt a bit stinging. I was told to use it every other day for the first few days to adapt, so I've only been able to apply it 4 times. I'm sorry I can't provide a more accurate review. After applying, my face turns a bit yellow (this is probably unavoidable). There are quite a few ingredients that don't seem to agree with me. (Shea butter, stearate, beeswax, alcohol, etc.) A small pimple popped up, but I'd say that's still manageable.
TipAs with any product, consistency is key! Don't forget to apply it only at night. Apply it focusing on the wrinkles, almost like filling them in. Apply it with care and dedication, like a facial massage.
