It doesn't cause any blemishes. The white cast isn't too severe and disappears when you spread it out.
ConsIt's hard to wash off... It feels really stiff and doesn't allow your hands to glide smoothly. After applying, my skin feels dry and tight.
TipI apply various products to make my skin as hydrated as possible before using this. For cleansing, I feel like it only comes off after using an oil cleanser first, followed by a foam cleanser.

I actually wanted to try the one from Tone 28, but I went for the more budget-friendly Anua option. I was looking for a sunscreen with both titanium and zinc that wasn't too greasy. The absorbs well is great. For a mineral sunscreen, it applies incredibly smoothly. The minimal white cast could be seen as either a pro or a con. Plus, it doesn't pill or slide around even when reapplied. Since I don't wear makeup, I think this would pair beautifully with a hydrating foundation. Highly, highly recommended for combination to oily skin types!
ConsIt's so drying, I can say that right off the bat. That's the biggest disappointment. Everything else about it is fantastic, but it's just too drying. I chose it because I hate greasiness, but this goes too far in the other direction. Even if I apply essence first, it's still... You know that tight, parched feeling? It's not causing wrinkles or anything, but that dry sensation is real. I bought two during a sale, and while summer might be okay, I'm worried about fall and winter. I'm considering returning the unopened one. Apart from the dryness, everything else is great!
TipLess of a pro tip and more of a necessity - if you're using this in winter, try applying it with a moisturizer you've set aside. It helps reduce the dryness a bit!

My skin type: seborrheic dermatitis, redness, acne, extremely sensitive. I rarely wear makeup and don't apply sunscreen daily. I've been using chemical sunscreens because mineral ones require more thorough cleansing, which could worsen my seborrheic dermatitis. 1. Texture: Not too thin or thick. Think of it as between a thick chemical sunscreen and a runny mineral one. 2. Application: Applies very smoothly. My previous mineral sunscreen was a bit stiff, so this feels even better in comparison. As someone with sensitive skin who's tried countless mineral sunscreens, I'd say this one spreads quite well among them. 3. Absorption: Sunscreen needs to be applied generously to be effective. This one absorbs well even when you apply a good amount, just pat it in gently. 4. White cast: There is some white cast, but it doesn't float on the skin. Instead, it brightens the complexion like a brightening moisturizer. This was my favorite aspect. Someone told me my skin looked really fair on a day I wore this, but they meant naturally fair, not obviously sunscreen-white. 5. Scent: I'm not particularly sensitive to scents, so I might have missed it, but I didn't notice any particular fragrance. 6. Blemishes: Wearing this sunscreen didn't cause any breakouts. Of course, thorough evening cleansing is key. 7. Eye irritation: No notable eye irritation. 8. Cleansing: Removes well with cleansing milk.
ConsWhile I didn't find any major drawbacks, there can be some dryness typical of mineral sunscreens. If you don't moisturize well beforehand or pat it in properly, it might make facial hair appear more noticeable.
TipFor those with super sensitive skin, I recommend trying this sunscreen as a no-makeup base! I plan to repurchase.

The texture is slightly runny for a sunscreen. It applies smoothly without feeling thick or heavy. The product claims no white cast, but there's a slight whitening effect when applied. For those who prefer a bit of a white cast like me, it might be a tad disappointing, but it's great for those who don't want any. The scent is a mix of typical sunscreen with a hint of cucumber - a bit herbal, but not overpowering. On days I used this, my makeup applied well and lasted longer. It also seemed to help with dryness, though I'm not sure if it's thanks to this or just my skin condition. (It's similar in hydration to The Saem Eco Earth Power Sun Cream that I usually use.) Perhaps due to its clean ingredients, I didn't experience any blemishes.
ConsIt feels moisturizing at first, but... alas! It seems mineral sunscreens are destined to be drying. On days when I only used this sunscreen, I could feel the deep dryness setting in by evening.
TipMake sure to layer your skincare properly before applying sunscreen! Since it can be drying, I mix it with a bit of moisturizer. This helps my foundation or cushion apply better and keeps my skin less dry until nighttime (relatively speaking).

I really liked the ingredients, how it applies, and the level of white cast. There are no harmful ingredients, so I thought even sensitive skin could use it, and I didn't break out once while using it! The application is smoother than my usual sunscreen. It looked a bit glowy when I applied it on the back of my hand, so I thought it would be moisturizing, but on my face, it becomes more matte over time! I went out all day wearing only this product on days when I used both heavy and light skincare, and honestly, I felt a bit of dryness on the day with lighter skincare. I prefer a moderate white cast, so right after applying it all over my face, I loved the natural brightening effect that made my skin look clear, but over time, the white cast fades to about 50%. This didn't bother me much though. Also, the packaging is very sleek, and the size is just right, making it convenient to carry around!
ConsThe dryness seems unavoidable due to the nature of mineral sunscreens... I usually apply toner, serum, and cream, but on days when I forgot to apply serum, my skin felt a bit tight. However, it might be fine in summer when it's hot, humid, and skin tends to produce more oil.
TipFor dry skin, it's best to apply skincare thoroughly, and if you need tone-up or coverage, add a brightening moisturizer or foundation! I don't need much coverage, so I love using a sunscreen + concealer combo! Applying concealer only where needed also reduces transfer onto masks.

When I first applied it, it felt like putting on a hydrating moisturizer. I applied it in the morning before work, and by late afternoon, I only felt a slight tightness around my mouth. Considering I have dry skin and other products usually make it feel much tighter, this one was really quite good. Unlike other mineral sunscreens, it didn't feel heavy or cakey. While there is some white cast, it doesn't leave you looking ghostly pale. It's more of a translucent white effect...? As someone who usually only wears sunscreen, I actually appreciated the slight brightening effect it gave. I know that mineral sunscreens need to be applied generously to be effective, and this one absorbed well, almost melting into the skin, which I really liked.
ConsThere wasn't anything particularly bothersome. The ingredients, which I consider most important, are good... If I had to mention something, maybe the slight tightness around the mouth after some time? But that's to be expected with mineral sunscreens.
TipI found that finishing my skincare routine with an oil before applying this sunscreen significantly reduced the tightness. Make sure to pat it in gently and spread it evenly, applying a sufficient amount.

Here's why: Texture and Application: I'm usually sensitive to the stiffness and pilling of mineral sunscreens, but this one spread smoothly without any stiff feeling. Compared to other mineral sunscreens I've tried, it's much more pleasant to apply than the 'Innisfree The Minimum' sunscreen. I'd say its application is similar to 'Dr. G Green Mild Up' sunscreen! White Cast: Of course, there's some white cast compared to chemical sunscreens. However, considering it's a mineral sunscreen, I'd say the white cast is minimal! Hydration: Initially, it feels hydrating without any sticky or oily residue. After a while, it settles into a soft, matte finish. While it's not extremely moisturizing, it's one of the more hydrating mineral sunscreens I've used. If you need to use mineral sunscreen ingredients and want one with minimal white cast, I'd definitely recommend this!
ConsSince I'm not using foundation these days, I was hoping for a bit of a tone-up effect. Unfortunately, the brightening effect was very subtle, which was slightly disappointing for me. (I've noticed that sunscreens that provide a noticeable brightening effect tend to feel drier and less comfortable on the skin, though.)

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsThis is a review from The Hwahae Testers. First off, I'm so grateful for this amazing product. I was previously using the Round Lab 365 Derma Relief Sun Cream. My skin is super sensitive, combination dehydrated, and acne-prone, so if I use the wrong product, my skin goes haywire and takes ages to recover. I decided to try Anua because of its good ingredients and the brand's reputation for gentle formulations. I was initially worried about the stearic acid potentially clogging my pores, but that doesn't seem to be an issue. Since using this, I haven't experienced any new blemishes - my skin has remained the same. However, if you're extremely blemish-prone and concerned, it might be better to avoid it rather than using it anxiously! For me, it's been fine so far. There's virtually no white cast, which I'm thrilled about. I tend to wear light makeup, and sunscreens with a white cast can make me look like a kabuki actor! This one is so natural that it doesn't affect my makeup tone at all. The Round Lab sunscreen had quite a noticeable white cast, so I couldn't apply it generously. They say you need to apply sunscreen frequently and generously, so I'm delighted to have found such a great product when I was worried about that. Even with my sensitive skin, I'm amazed by how smoothly it applies and how natural the complexion looks.
ConsIt seems to be more drying than the Round Lab 365. When I apply and remove the Round Lab one, about 30% of the scabbed areas on my acne show white dead skin cells, but with this one, it's about 90% - the scabs and surrounding areas get really dry and flaky. If you don't have a solid, hydrating skincare routine, your skin might feel quite tight.
TipIt's essential to apply this on top of a very, very, very well-hydrated base for the best results.

But this one maintains its finish really well. If you apply the right amount, it doesn't break down at all. When I applied a thick layer (about a fingertip's worth) and wore a mask for 5 hours, it only slightly bunched up around my philtrum, sides of the nose, and textured areas. Still, I'm extremely satisfied with this level of performance. Thumbs up! ★Texture, Application★ It has a familiar cream texture. While not completely smooth when applying, it spreads well without being too thick. If you're applying a large amount, make sure to spread it evenly to avoid clumping. As it applies so well, it initially gives a dewy finish that feels very moisturizing, making you wonder if it might get oily. But after about 30 minutes, it becomes perfectly matte. Since it's not matte right after application, it works well under cushion foundation. As time passes, it becomes very matte, which I liked because it prevented oil from coming through on my T-zone. I also appreciated that it felt matte without the heavy powdery texture. ★Slight Brightening Effect★ When applied in the right amount, it has a slight brightening effect. The ad claimed it doesn't, but it definitely changes your natural skin tone a bit. However, it's very subtle, which I liked because it looks natural. ★Ingredients★ I didn't experience any blemishes. I've used Cell*** and Dr. J*** Ultra Sun before, but I think I'll be switching to this from now on.
Cons★Not Recommended for Dry Skin★ Even though I have very oily skin, my eye area felt a bit tight on days when I didn't apply enough moisturizer. My mother, who's in her 50s, said it felt too tight and she couldn't imagine wearing it all day. ★Scent★ It has an artificial berry scent. I'm quite sensitive to smells, and this wasn't particularly pleasant to me. It's strong at first, but after a while, it fades to a typical sunscreen smell that lingers faintly.
TipThe photos show immediately after applying a generous amount, and after walking around for 5 hours wearing a mask.
