(My own purchase) As someone with an extremely oily scalp, this is a game-changer! Usually, after washing my hair in the morning, by the time I get home from work, my hair looks like it hasn't been washed for days. My bangs would get so greasy. But this shampoo is revolutionary! I've tried many shampoos claiming to prevent greasiness, but this one truly delivers. It's worth every penny I spent on it. From morning till evening, my hair stays fresh and non-greasy. The lather is great too! I was skeptical about trying a shampoo bar for the first time, but I'm so glad I did. I really hope more people discover how amazing this is. For those who don't use conditioner or hair treatments, you might find that this leaves your hair feeling a bit too squeaky clean. I usually don't bother with conditioner or treatments because I find them tedious, but I do apply a hair essence before blow-drying. That's enough to leave my hair feeling silky smooth and flowing! - dl*********Dry SkinRecommendedJul 14, 2022
As someone with an oily scalp, I've tried countless shampoos for oily hair... Finding the right one has been a challenge! Many 'oily hair' shampoos still left my scalp greasy. I was searching for a shampoo with good ingredients that would keep oil at bay longer, and that's when I discovered Soapberry. Despite being for oily hair, it's surprisingly gentle. It lathers wonderfully and helps delay oil production on my scalp. The price is the real downside here. It's on the expensive side, but since it works so well for my scalp, I can't bring myself to stop buying it... Try cutting the bottle in half to share or make it last longer. Be careful though, as it tends to dissolve quickly in a humid bathroom environment. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinJul 8, 2021
After use, there's less flaking and dead skin cells. While it doesn't make the scalp super fresh, it does control oil for more than a day. The fragrance is quite strong. It stings if it gets in your eyes while washing. Not sure about repurchasing... They provide a basic mesh, but if you lose it, you can use an onion bag. This will extend its lifespan, so always use it with some kind of mesh. - ec*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 11, 2020
I was pleasantly surprised by how well this lathers up and its cleansing effectiveness - much better than I expected! I use a foam net, wet it, and then rub it directly on my scalp. It cleanses just as well as regular shampoo! True to its no-sebum claim, I definitely noticed less oil buildup. This would be great for those with oily scalps! I started using shampoo bars for environmental reasons, and I'm happy that this product has good ingredients too, making it beneficial for me in many ways. The downside is that being a soap, you definitely need a foam net, which means it's not entirely plastic-free. While that's a bit disappointing, it's still much better than using products in plastic bottles, so I'm satisfied. Also, to be honest, it didn't completely solve my itchy scalp issue right away, but after washing twice, it definitely improved, so I'm content overall. As mentioned above, I recommend double cleansing for those with oily scalps! After use, make sure to rinse thoroughly until there's no foam left, and then hang the bar in the foam net to dry properly! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 18, 2020
First off, I love the scent! It lathers well and didn't cause any scalp itching. My hair feels soft even after drying~ I used it with a mesh bag, but it seemed to wear down quickly. The soap itself feels quite drying. - ch***Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 28, 2020
I was worried about how well it would cleanse since it's a shampoo bar, but it cleaned my hair thoroughly. My hair feels soft, so I think I'll enjoy using it regularly. It's a bit disappointing that it seems to wear down faster than other shampoo bars, giving the impression that it won't last as long. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedMay 3, 2020
I have an oily scalp, so my hair usually starts to get greasy by the afternoon. Using this no-sebum product has made a huge improvement! The only downside is that it's quite expensive... - mi********Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresApr 15, 2020
Unlike silicone-containing shampoos that often make my scalp itchy, this product didn't cause any irritation. I loved how it lathered up nicely with rich foam. Compared to Lush, the bottle size is larger, so I felt I was getting better value for money with this relatively pricey shampoo bar. Although it's marketed as a sebum-control shampoo, I'm not sure if it performs that function better than regular shampoos. Without silicone, my hair feels a bit fluffy right after washing, but by afternoon, I feel like my scalp gets oily faster than usual. I bought it expecting good sebum control, but I'm disappointed in that aspect, so I won't be repurchasing. - pe*******Combination SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedSep 23, 2019
• I started using this product when my scalp became oily and itchy in summer. I was looking for something with natural ingredients. I'm pleased with its pleasant scent and how well it lathers when shampooing. • Its compact size made it perfect to pack for summer vacation. • While the hair feels a bit stiff right after washing, it becomes just as soft as with regular shampoo once dried. • In summer, when I shampoo twice daily, I go through a bottle in about two months. • Although it's pricier compared to regular shampoos, it doesn't cause greasiness or itching, which is why I'm now on my fifth bottle. You can save a bit by purchasing the three-pack at once. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 20, 2019
I absolutely loved this product. All the inflammation on my scalp disappeared, and even when I shampoo twice a day, morning and night, it doesn't leave any residue or make my hair stiff. It's just been fantastic overall. I've tried the Dove Beauty Bar too, but I prefer this one. Now I use it as an all-in-one product. It didn't cause any blemishes even when I used it for face washing. Like most shampoo bars, it does soften quite easily. They provide a foam net, but personally, I recommend cutting the bar into quarters and using one piece at a time, even with the net. This way, it lasts longer. Unless you have very short hair, expect to use about one bar per month. When cut into quarters, you might stretch it to about 5 weeks. However, for convenience, it's best to order a new one when you're nearing the end of the month. Another minor drawback is that for those living in rural areas, online purchasing is really the only option. Cut all shampoo bars into quarters. This is especially important the softer the bar gets!
