I spray this mist with houttuynia cordata and mugwort right after cleansing. I pat it in about 3 times to help absorption. I used to use One Thing, but it got too expensive and wasn't available on Hwahae, so I bought this instead. It's not bad at all, actually better than I expected. There's nothing particularly bad about it, but I wish they had a larger size available! Just please don't increase the price! - do*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 5, 2023
The watery texture made it perfect to use as a toner substitute. As I experienced with other mugwort products from the same brand, the packaging is inconvenient to use. Transferring it to a mist bottle and using it as a body or facial mist seems to help soothe the skin! - op*****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 3, 2023
I'm using this as a toner substitute, diluting it for application. It's great for evening out my complexion. To be honest, the small volume compared to the price makes it a bit costly. It works well when diluted with a larger, regular toner for more economical use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 19, 2023
I loved how it seemed to really calm down a lot of the redness in my skin! The strong herbal scent might be a bit challenging for those with super sensitive skin to use I used it as a skin pack! - dl********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 12, 2022
The unique color of this toner initially made me worry about its scent, but I had nothing to fear. It's gentler than expected and perfect for my sensitive skin. I'm thrilled that it doesn't cause any blemishes. I often get small bumps and acne, but after cleansing with this toner, it seems to manage my sebum well. Lately, I haven't had any breakouts. There's nothing particularly disappointing about this product! Perhaps it would be nice if it came in a larger size? When you soak a cotton pad generously and wipe it over your entire face, it feels refreshing. Maybe due to the houttuynia cordata extract, it seems to help prevent blemishes too. - mo******Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 1, 2022
Being a toner, it has a watery consistency and provides good hydration. Most importantly, since it contains houttuynia cordata extract, it noticeably calms the skin when used on irritated areas or blemishes. The scent is quite strong... like herbal medicine? At first, I thought about not using it because of the intense smell. But then I figured, 'The stronger it smells, the better it might be for me,' so I gave it a try. Now I'm very satisfied with it. I'm using it by soaking a cotton pad and gently wiping it over my skin. - so*****Oily SkinAcne SkinMar 9, 2022
The strong scent of natural ingredients inspired confidence, and I appreciated the simple formulation. I kept the product refrigerated and used it as a cooling skin pack when my skin felt warm. I was disappointed that there wasn't a noticeable difference in my skin condition before and after use. - mk*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedDec 13, 2021
As someone with dry, sensitive skin, I've always been cautious about skincare products. I bought this on a friend's recommendation, and it's been surprisingly effective. I'm using it daily now, and my skin feels incredibly hydrated! The only downside is that the product doesn't come in a larger size. I wish they'd offer a bigger volume option in the future! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 29, 2021
I won this product through Hwahae's event and decided to try it out. It was so good that I had to leave a review. My skin condition when I received the product: My face was starting to develop oily patches. 1. Initially, I applied it with my hands as I don't usually do skin packs. However, due to the enzyme ingredients(?), it's recommended to store it in the refrigerator. When I did so, I thought it would be nice to use as a cool skin pack. Surprisingly, this method almost completely calmed the oily patches on my face. When I got lazy and went back to applying it with my hands, the oily patches resurfaced. But when I used it as a skin pack again, they subsided once more. => It seems the Houttuynia Cordata ingredient works well for me, especially when used as a skin pack for its soothing effect. 2. The scent is reminiscent of Houttuynia Cordata, slightly herbal. I don't mind these kinds of scents, so it was fine for me. 3. I really dislike stickiness, and I'm happy to report this product has absolutely no sticky feeling! Price and Quantity The price feels a bit high for the amount you get. If I hadn't seen other toners with Houttuynia Cordata in the rankings, I would have thought this product was a must-buy due to its excellent soothing effects. However, other products offer larger quantities at lower prices... so... it does make me hesitate a bit. 1. Wet a thin cotton pad for skin packs with water and squeeze out the excess (I do this because using only the toner would be too wasteful, especially since this toner doesn't come in a large quantity). 2. Saturate it with an appropriate amount of toner and apply as a pack. That's it! When I just absorbed it with my hands, I didn't see much effect. But when I used it as a skin pack, the soothing effect was remarkable! - j0**********Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJul 21, 2021
Here's my review after finishing the entire bottle! My skin is extremely oily with acne and scars. I had high hopes for this product since houttuynia cordata has worked well for my skin before. Soothing power: While it didn't dramatically calm my skin when it flared up, it did a solid job of gently comforting my angry skin after extractions. I often used it as a mask post-extraction and was quite satisfied with its soothing effects. Absorption: It seemed to absorb well with a few pats, without feeling like it was sitting on top of the skin. However, it is a bit on the sticky side. Hydration: The hydration was great! It gave that 'fully replenished' feeling, so I was really pleased with the moisture it provided. Scent: Being houttuynia cordata, it has that herbal, traditional medicine scent. It might be divisive, but I liked it. It gave me a feeling that my skin was going to improve and become healthier. Value for money & quantity: I went through the bottle quickly as I used it generously for masks and as an exfoliating toner. But the price is reasonable, making it a great option for nighttime soothing without breaking the bank. If I had to nitpick, it would be the stickiness that remained even after absorption. I personally prefer products that feel fresh and leave no residue, so this aspect was a bit disappointing for me. Also, be careful with the packaging - it's easy to squeeze out too much if you're not paying attention, which can make controlling the amount tricky.
