The product itself seems pretty decent, and I like that there's no bothersome scent. It's such a hassle having to bring a separate brush, which makes me less inclined to use it. I'll probably go for one with a built-in puff next time. The formula works well, but the lack of an applicator makes it inconvenient to use, so I probably won't repurchase it. - da******Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 8, 2025
This is my absolute love... It's my first time trying a compact powder like this, and the glitter might surprise you. But unlike other powders that make it obvious you're wearing makeup, this one looks incredibly natural. There's nothing. It's not that there's nothing now, there was nothing from the start. Seriously. - 08********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresJun 5, 2025
The particles are so fine they're practically invisible! It's incredibly lightweight and seems to just control oil without feeling heavy. It absolutely doesn't cake up on the skin. Perhaps because it's so light, it doesn't cover pores well and seems to leave a slightly white cast. I usually use powder for that blurred, soft-focus effect that makes skin look beautifully smooth, but this doesn't give that feeling at all. This powder appears to be excellent for oil control and maintaining a natural look, but may not provide the coverage or blurring effect some users desire for a more polished finish. - wj*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 31, 2025
Tired of traditional compacts that leave a white cast, I switched to Too Cool for School. I was already using their shading product and loved it, so I decided to try this one too. It gives a nice, subtle brightening effect without emphasizing dead skin cells. The finish isn't heavy or suffocating - it's just right. While there's nothing particularly bad about it, using a brush for application might make it a bit inconvenient for on-the-go touch-ups. - yu*********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsMay 2, 2025
It just gives you an incredible glow! I thought it would provide good blurring effects, but I was mistaken. I absolutely need good blurring since my base makeup transfers if I don't use powder, but this didn't really give me that feeling. However, if you're looking for a product that gives you a radiant glow, this might be perfect for you. Also, be aware that it tends to darken the skin quite noticeably. - ch*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 2, 2025
My skin type is extremely dry with a complexion between shades 21 and 22, and a deep muted undertone. No matter what base I use, I've discovered an amazing hack. I apply my foundation and then use those cheap powder puffs from the dollar store (you get two for a buck) to set it. The result is absolutely fantastic! Even though I have dry skin, when my base starts to break down, it doesn't crack and flake. Instead, it reveals a beautiful Inner Glow that makes my skin look naturally radiant, as if I were blessed with perfect skin. That's why after trying other brands' powders, I've come back to Too Cool for School. If you prefer a gorgeous glow over a dry, cracked look when your makeup wears off, I highly recommend this. If you're looking for a perfect blurring effect or significant brightening, I'd suggest trying About Tone instead. - jx********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRednessDead Skin CellsApr 24, 2025
It had no scent and was thin, making it convenient to carry around. You can use it for quite a long time. When I tried to apply it to my face using the puff, it removed all the base makeup I had previously applied, sticking to both the puff and the powder without actually applying the powder (this happened regardless of changing puffs, using brushes, or switching base products). Moreover, it doesn't effectively function as a powder. It's also incredibly fragile, and you need to carry a separate powder puff. There was a lot of excess powder whether I used a puff or a brush. When using this product, I think a brush works better than a puff. - 6i********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 22, 2025
This product is fantastic! It has great staying power and the price is wallet-friendly. I highly recommend it as an affordable must-have for your makeup forever collection. Using a powder puff, I gently pat it on my cheeks, forehead, and other large areas where needed. It keeps my skin matte for hours. I'm sure it'll be perfect for summer use - it doesn't cake and applies so naturally. Love it! While the price is reasonable, I wish I had bought it from the official website instead of Olive Young. I heard you can get a brush for just an extra dollar there. Feeling a bit of regret about missing out on that deal. I'm currently using a powder puff for larger areas and a brush for the rest when applying my makeup forever products. It works well for me. - rh********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 13, 2025
I keep repurchasing this compact powder. After applying your base makeup, just dust this on as a finishing touch. It adheres thinly, giving you a lightweight and velvety smooth skin appearance. I've gone through several compacts, and honestly, there's not much to complain about. - ch********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresApr 12, 2025
It's surprisingly durable even if you accidentally drop it. Usually, powder products break easily, but this one seems to stay intact. I've been using this for two years now, and it's not wearing down... Why doesn't it run out? I'm still puzzled by this... There's no brush or puff included, so you have to buy one separately. No matter what tool you use, it doesn't pick up the product well, so you have to really dig in to apply it. Moreover, if you have oily skin, even if you use this for powder touch-ups after makeup, you'll need to keep reapplying to control the excess oil.
