It didn't irritate my skin at all.
ConsIt applies a bit thick, so using a brush or spatula works better than rubbing it in with your hands. I usually use shades 17-19 or a light 21, but this sunscreen felt darker, maybe around 23? My friends say it looks fine, but to me it's a bit dark like I've gotten a tan. I mix it with a mineral sunscreen to adjust. Still, the coverage is good. Those with similar skin tones, take note!
TipIf you find it too dark, try mixing it with a mineral sunscreen to adjust the shade! Using a thinner mineral sunscreen makes application even easier. As long as you don't mix in too much mineral sunscreen, you'll still get decent coverage. Hope this helps!

It's incredibly thick, but after applying, there's no sticky feeling. The staying power is great, and it makes your complexion look so beautiful. It's perfect for going foundation-free!
ConsIt's a bit stiff to apply, almost like you're spreading honey on your face. But the lasting power is good, so it's still worth it.
TipIf you apply it over a cream base, it absorbs more smoothly on your face.

It provides some coverage for blemishes.
ConsIt's quite thick and difficult to apply. It tends to transfer when you're wearing it.

It even manages to conceal dark circles to some extent.
ConsThe absorption is extremely thick and difficult to spread, leaving your skin feeling suffocated after application. For a brightening sunscreen, it goes on incredibly thick and heavy, making a beauty sponge absolutely necessary. It's so cumbersome that you might as well apply foundation instead - it completely lacks the convenience that's supposed to be the main advantage of a brightening moisturizer. Moreover, once applied, it doesn't make your skin look better or give a pretty complexion; it just makes you look like porcelain. Interestingly, I noticed quite a few positive reviews from other users, but it really didn't work for me at all.
TipIn my experience, using this product alone was impossible, so I mixed it with a birch brightening sunscreen. That made it somewhat better, but still... I don't think I'll be able to use it regularly.

It would be particularly suitable for those with slightly darker complexions. Even when my skin was quite irritated, I found I could go out wearing just this and feel confident. After a while, it transforms to give a subtle glow, making your skin look naturally radiant as if it's your own complexion.
Cons✓ The application might feel a bit thick, but I apply it like foundation using a Picasso spatula, which helps it spread thinly and evenly.

This one clearly focuses on coverage - even a thin layer provides solid coverage. It reminds me of those CC creams that were popular before, and it's also a bit like a BB cream. Among the sunscreens I've tried, this one offers the most noticeable brightening effect. I applied it with a cushion puff, and the finish feels pleasantly matte. It also does a good job covering basic blemishes.
ConsWhile sunscreen should be applied generously, it's difficult to use a large amount of this product. For proper sun protection, you might want to apply a separate chemical sunscreen underneath, and then use this lightly on top for brightening and coverage, like you would with a foundation primer. It's a bit thick when applying and can clump, so using a spatula might be helpful.

It's not great. I can't tell if there's anything good about it. Hmm...
ConsIt's way too thick and doesn't absorb well. My skin feels dry. I'm using it mixed with a hydrating cream. Also, it seems to look ashy on anyone with a skin tone darker than shade 23.

I usually don't wear makeup, just sunscreen, but my face is red with many acne scars. I was looking for a cover-up tone-up sunscreen and bought this because it looked just like foundation. It's not just a tone-up, it's literally foundation! While it's not quite as adhesive or covering as makeup foundation, the texture is quite thick, so it doesn't spread easily by hand and tends to clump. It doesn't cover pores well either, so you definitely need to use a puff. It also gets very dry over time and can flake. The tone is on the darker side, so those who usually use shades 19-21 might find it makes their skin look dark and dull. It's perfect for my shade 23 skin. I recommend this for those who find expensive cushions or foundations burdensome, want to look made-up with just sunscreen, or have slightly darker skin tones. Interestingly, I bought the sun cushion from the same line, and it's lighter in tone. So on days I use the cushion, my face looks a bit floaty... haha... I'd recommend the cushion for those with 20-21 shades.
ConsThe thick texture makes it difficult to apply smoothly. Unless you use a puff, it clumps easily and doesn't cover pores well.
TipAlthough it claims to be foundation-free, it's so much like foundation that double cleansing is a must. On days with heavy makeup, I use cleansing oil, and on days with just mineral sunscreen, I use cleansing milk for the first cleanse. This product is so much like makeup foundation that I was torn between using oil or milk. I ended up using milk, and it removed the product cleanly. It didn't clog my pores or cause breakouts the next day. For those who cleanse long after application, I recommend using oil for a deep cleanse, just to be safe.

The color itself is a perfect calm beige that matched well with my 22 shade complexion. The staying power is decent, and it evens skin tone nicely. It feels powdery, so there's no transfer, and it has good lasting power!
ConsThe downside is that it seems to depend on your skin condition. Based on my skin (which has some acne scars), it felt a bit thick and heavy when applying. After application, it tended to clump around the scarred areas and emphasized dead skin cells. It might work better for those with better skin than mine or those who apply a thorough skincare routine. However, personally, I tend to use these brightening moisturizer sunscreens on days when I'm too lazy for a full makeup routine and just want to quickly apply something before heading out. So, I didn't find it particularly easy to use... I think the absorption of other Dewytree sunscreens was better than this one.
