For a low pH cleanser, it's quite impressive! The foam production is good, and the cleansing effectiveness isn't bad at all, considering its gentle formulation. It manages to maintain a mild feel while leaving the skin feeling moisturized after use, which makes it a solid product in my book. While it may not have the most abundant, fine-textured foam or exceptional cleansing power, I'd still rank it among the top low pH foam cleansers out there.
ConsIf you prefer that squeaky-clean feeling after washing, you might want to opt for a regular cleansing foam rather than a low pH one.

I primarily choose products based on ingredients, so I immediately grabbed this after checking the ingredient list. Being a gentle, low pH product, it cleanses mildly and leaves my skin feeling moisturized.
ConsAs expected with gentle products, it doesn't give that squeaky-clean feeling. However, it's hydrating and mild on the skin.

But I can confidently say that the Lacto-Sica foam is truly an ideal cleanser. Being slightly acidic, it doesn't dry out the skin while still maintaining excellent cleansing effectiveness. After rinsing, it doesn't leave a slippery feeling nor does it make your skin feel too tight. It's a cleanser that gives you that 'my skin isn't dry... but it feels thoroughly cleansed' sensation. When used as a first-step cleanser, it removes sunscreen effectively, though it won't completely remove mascara or heavy makeup on its own.
ConsIt's on the pricier side, and if you're expecting that squeaky-clean feeling typical of alkaline cleansers that remove all makeup, you might be disappointed. If you approach it with the understanding that this is the level of cleansing power an acidic cleanser can achieve, you'll likely find it to be a very satisfying product.

The pH-balanced formula is gentle on the skin and I felt it cleansed well. The large size is a plus, and the fragrance-free formula made it easy to use regularly.
ConsLike most pH-balanced cleansing foams, it doesn't give that squeaky-clean feeling, which made me want to wash my face multiple times. That's a bit disappointing.
TipI recommend washing your face twice for best results.

I purchased this product with my own money and I'm writing an honest review after using it. Product: [Unpa] Lacto-Cica Mild Clear Cleanser Skin Type: My skin is oily in the T-zone, combination dehydrated in the U-zone, and sensitive on the cheeks. My skin tone is 13 (cool summer light tone). My skin concerns are pores, blackheads, whiteheads, sebum, and dead skin cells. Review Purpose: I bought this product during a Hwahae sale. While there's no obligation to review, I wanted to share my experience after using it. Texture & Scent: It's a powdery textured cleansing foam. As expected from a low pH foam, it feels light. I've been using only low pH cleansing products lately. On days when I wear makeup, I use cleansing water or oil for the first cleanse, then this as a second cleanse. On regular days, I use it in the evening. I appreciate that it has gentle ingredients and is fragrance-free. Usage Experience: Since my cheeks are sensitive and prone to blemishes, I always test products on the back of my hand and wrist first. After using this, I didn't experience any redness or blemishes. As someone with oily skin, I used to prefer that squeaky clean feeling after cleansing. But I've learned that's not actually good for the skin. While some skin types might need cleansers with slightly more alkaline ingredients, using such products can impact the skin barrier. For those with healthy skin barriers, it takes about 2 hours to recover, but for others, it can take much longer and cause repeated damage. That's why I'm trying to use gentle, low pH products for cleansing and other products that directly contact my skin. So far, I haven't experienced any blemishes while using this product with its gentle ingredients. I was a bit worried about the Lacto-Cica ingredient, which is a fermented blend of cica and bifida, but fortunately, it worked well for me. I'll update my review after using it consistently for a while. Thank you for reading! While I'm always cautious about sharing my subjective opinions, I strive to write honestly. Wishing you health and happiness always! Thank you!
ConsThe downside is that it doesn't give that squeaky clean feeling. When I first started using low pH cleansers, I felt very uncomfortable, but now I actually feel extremely dry and tight if I use a cleanser that leaves my skin squeaky clean. If you feel like your skin isn't thoroughly cleansed, you might want to follow up with an exfoliating toner or pad to remove any residue. Also, since the product contains Lacto-Cica and fermented ingredients, those with super sensitive skin should definitely patch test before use.

Despite its mild acidity, it has good cleansing effectiveness (though you'll need a separate first cleanse for point makeup). I really like the ingredients. It doesn't cause any deep dryness and leaves the skin feeling hydrated.
ConsThere's nothing particularly bad about it. However, if you have oily skin or prefer that squeaky-clean feeling, you might have mixed feelings about this product.

ConsMay disappoint if you're looking for that squeaky-clean feeling Might be a bit weak on dead skin cells and sebum removal What's its edge over similar competing products in the same size?
TipLet's break down the pros and cons one by one. The good points: First off, it's passed sensitivity tests and has an EWG Green rating, which is a great selling point, especially for an app like Hwahae. For those concerned about skin issues and blemishes, safe ingredients and low irritation are crucial factors to consider. I found it easy to use for both light morning cleansing and as a final evening cleanse, largely due to its gentle formulation. The hydration is excellent, which works well for my combination dehydrated skin. You know that feeling when your skin starts tightening right after washing? This cleanser noticeably reduces that sensation. Must be the power of Lactocica! The not-so-good points: Let's talk about some drawbacks. Firstly, this is more about low pH cleansers in general. Like other top-rated low pH cleansers on Hwahae, don't expect that squeaky-clean, deep-scrubbing feeling. Low pH cleansers don't give you that 'stripped' sensation and don't aggressively remove dead skin cells. Instead, they preserve skin moisture. You'll need to be diligent with your cleansing routine to manage dead skin cells. This might suit conscientious adults but requires more effort from the lazy among us. Lastly, while the Lactocica Mild Clear Cleanser is good - with great ingredients, good hydration, and effective cleansing (plus I love the big tube!) - it needs a unique selling point. Top-ranked products aren't just about early market entry or heavy marketing. If value for money isn't the battleground, find a way to really captivate consumers and make them reach for their wallets! Quick take: Satisfying in most aspects, but one drawback keeps it from excellence. P.S. They all emphasize '99.9% micro-dust removal'... Is that really important? Everyone highlights it, but it doesn't resonate much. Even the overused 'blemish care' gets more attention. Maybe women are more concerned about micro-dust?

As someone with sensitive skin that often turns red after washing due to pressure and friction, I experienced no such issues while testing this product. The foam lathers well and glides smoothly across the skin, which I believe contributes to its gentleness. I'm in the habit of washing my makeup puffs immediately after use, and this cleanser did an excellent job cleaning both puffs and brushes. It even effectively removed hair dye residue from my hairline and fingertips that hand soap couldn't tackle. What's more, my skin felt incredibly hydrated after cleansing - no deep dryness at all! While some moisturizing cleansers can feel less effective, this one produces a fine, soft foam that seems to cleanse every nook and cranny of your skin texture. There's no residue left after rinsing, and the moisturizing finish is wonderful. I think those with dry or combination dehydrated skin will absolutely love this! I'm truly impressed and definitely plan to repurchase. I'm so glad I discovered such a great product through The Hwahae Testers!
ConsThose who prefer a squeaky-clean finish might find this product a bit lacking. However, I've heard that a squeaky-clean feeling isn't necessarily ideal for your skin. If you can adjust to the sensation of skin that feels both cleansed and moisturized after washing, I think you'll really come to love this product!

I was surprised by how incredibly gentle it felt when I first used it. The cleansing foam applies creamily, if that makes sense? My skin type is oily with excess sebum and all the not-so-great stuff. What I liked was that the product is mild, causing no irritation to my skin, and it feels so soft. With my previous product, I had to apply my skincare routine immediately after washing as soon as my skin dried. But with this one, I can wait a bit. It holds up better!
ConsIt doesn't cleanse thoroughly as a first cleanse. I prefer a squeaky clean, refreshing cleanse, but with this one, I feel like I need to do a triple cleanse to feel properly clean. Usually, I do a light first cleanse and focus more on the second, but when I use this for the first cleanse, it definitely removes less than my previous product and leaves makeup residue. Still, it's gentle and non-irritating, so I give it 4 stars!
TipYou need to adjust the water amount well to create rich lather.
