Not sticky at all. The squeeze tube packaging is hygienic.
ConsIt's way too light. Even for oily skin, it's drying. The fragrance is overly artificial...

Texture: It's definitely thicker than a soothing gel, but I'm not sure how it would work for dry skin. As someone with oily skin, I didn't find it overly rich, and it left a very hydrating feel. 2. Calming effect: What I loved most was its soothing properties. It has a cooling effect, which is great after thorough cleansing when your skin might feel a bit irritated. I applied this alone, without any toner or essence, and it felt like it replenished moisture while calming my skin. However, if you're expecting a major calming effect, you might be a bit disappointed. I also appreciated the built-in spatula - it's a hygienic and smart touch. Using your fingers to scoop out product can introduce bacteria, so this is a great feature! Overall impression: It offers some calming effects and seems to balance oil and moisture well. While it might not be mind-blowingly amazing, it's a solid product without any major drawbacks.
ConsThe scent is quite divisive... To me, it smells like a car air freshener and feels a bit overwhelming. Personally, I really disliked the fragrance.
TipEveryone's skin type and oil-moisture balance is different, so my method might not work for everyone. But the most effective approach I've found for my blemishes is minimizing makeup use. On days when I don't wear makeup at all, I only cleanse with water. However, since going makeup-free forever isn't realistic, on days when I do wear makeup, I double cleanse with an oil cleanser followed by a foam cleanser. Then, I use a face cooler to apply Real Barrier Soothing Cream while massaging. This helps calm irritated skin, and by the next morning, my skin feels much less inflamed.

My skin type: Combination - oily T-zone, dry U-zone Current moisturizers: Darphin Hydraskin Light, Hanyul Pure Artemisia Cream Instant hydration absorption When first applied, it feels refreshingly cool. Thanks to the hyaluronic acid, it provides rich hydration despite its light texture and absorbs instantly. Balanced oil content According to the product description, it's not completely oil-free, but it lightly coats the skin for moisture, making it ideal as a summer moisturizer. Perfect for spring and summer without stickiness Great for layering multiple times in sweaty, oily spring and summer. However, it might not be sufficient on its own for dry autumn and winter months. User-friendly spatula The lid and spatula are lightweight and easy to use, making for convenient packaging.
ConsSeasonal limitations for combination skin Likely not suitable for solo use in dry autumn and winter. Fragrance may be divisive While the cool scent enhances the refreshing feel in hot summer, its strong and artificial nature might not appeal to everyone.
TipOn scorching days, applying this after coming in from outside provides an immediate cooling effect and hydration that soothes the skin. It works well when layered multiple times on its own, and also combines nicely with other products like oil-based foundations.

You can feel your skin becoming soothed and calmed.
ConsAs someone sensitive to fragrances, I find the scent of the Real Barrier Soothing Cream a bit artificial. This makes me slightly hesitant when applying it.

The bouncy jelly texture is a joy to look at and use.
Cons1. The spatula is inconvenient to use. The cream gets on the lid where you rest the spatula, so you can't put it anywhere. The spatula, being like regular plastic, doesn't clean off easily. 2. The scent is quite unpleasant. It smells like medicine, ointment, or mosquito repellent. Even after absorption, a strong cosmetic smell lingers. 3. It feels more like a burning mint sensation than a cooling effect. It's about 1/10th the feeling of getting toothpaste on your skin. You might not even notice it if you're not paying attention. It could feel irritating or hot for those with sensitive skin. If you're looking for a cooling effect, you're better off applying toothpaste. 4. Lacks hydration. If you prefer moisturizers that feel deeply hydrating, this isn't it. It feels like it's for dry skin when applying, but then feels more suited for oily skin as it absorbs. Instead of combining the best of both worlds, it seems to have the drawbacks of both.

I have sensitive skin, but after using it for a week, I haven't experienced any special blemishes or itching. It's been working out fine for me.
ConsThe fragrance is way too strong... It's a lemon scent, but it's as intense as if you're applying actual lemons to your face. I wonder if they really needed to use such strong fragrance. I didn't feel like it reduced any skin heat either. I have dry skin, and while it absorbs well, it evaporates so quickly that my skin feels dry again after just 10 minutes. I had to layer another product with a richer texture on top.
TipWhile I'm using it without any issues, I don't think I'd spend 30,000 won to purchase it again.

My skin is combination type, and during summers like now, my face tends to get quite oily. This product really helps reduce the heat on my face and you can feel it replenishing moisture. As soon as you apply it, you feel the heat on your face decreasing and a cooling sensation. It absorbs well, so you don't need to pat it in much. The texture is like a bouncy, slightly runny pudding rather than a thick one. I apply a light layer after my morning cleanse, and multiple layers in the evening. It hasn't specifically reduced or eliminated acne, but I think of it as a light cream that's perfect for hot, oily summers. It definitely hydrates the face, living up to its name as a soothing cream. I recommend this light cream for oily, combination dehydrated, or combination skin types during summer.
ConsThe scent... it's like mint? But it really smells like mosquito repellent. Every time I apply it to my face, it feels like I'm putting on bug spray. I wouldn't recommend this to those sensitive to smells. For those with dry skin, you might feel a bit of dryness after some time, so if you use this cream, I'd suggest using a product that tackles dryness either before or after this one.
TipStore it in the fridge and when you take it out to use, you'll feel like you're in heaven.

This aqua soothing gel is fantastic! While it's not a cream but a gel, it doesn't run like typical aloe soothing gels. It has a bouncy gel texture that's light and thin when applied, absorbs quickly without any stickiness. After application, it adheres well to the skin without leaving a greasy feeling. Despite being a gel, it provides long-lasting hydration! It seems to replenish moisture so well that when I wake up in the morning, I immediately notice reduced oiliness on my face. Plus, it has an excellent cooling effect that lowers skin temperature - my face feels refreshed after applying it! The blue color of the gel comes from blue tansy oil, which helps soothe the skin and provides gentle care for sensitive skin. As for the scent, while opinions vary, I personally love it! It's a mix of lemon and soda scents - cool and fresh, perfect for summer application. When you open the lid, there's a spatula included, which is great for hygiene and convenience - no worries about losing it or contaminating the product with dirty fingers.
ConsWhile I enjoyed it, the unique scent can be divisive. My sister felt it smelled too artificial.
TipFor an extra boost in hot summer, try keeping it in the fridge! Apply your hydrating essence, then this chilled Aqua Soothing Gel - you'll feel double the hydration and cooling effect. Wake up to skin that's moisturized and less oily!

What I noticed while using it: There's an immediate cooling effect as soon as you apply it It has a gel-like texture that's lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin While I need to use it more consistently to see long-term results, after a few days of use, I think it's perfect as a summer moisturizer.
ConsOne slight drawback is the scent. It reminds me of Lemona (a vitamin C powder drink), with a fresh lemon fragrance. However, it feels a bit artificial and perhaps too strong for my liking.

My skin type is sensitive and dry, prone to chronic dermatitis flare-ups when irritated. ▪️Scent: Given my sensitive skin, I'm usually wary of heavily fragranced cosmetics. Most gentle products I've used tend to be nearly fragrance-free. However, this product has a cool, aquatic scent that matches its name. Unfortunately, I personally disliked the artificial tea tree or herbal-like fragrance it had. ▪️Soothing/Hydration: While the product claims to soothe and hydrate sensitive skin, I didn't notice much soothing effect. It did provide hydration, but my skin didn't feel particularly comfortable. Instead of a cooling effect, I experienced a slight warming sensation, possibly due to irritation. ▪️Recommended Season/Skin Type: With a texture between a cream and a gel, this seems ideal for summer use. I'd recommend it to those who want some hydration without a sticky feeling. ▪️Not Recommended For: While everyone's experience may vary, I think those with similar skin to mine - sensitive or easily irritated - might find this product unsuitable.
Cons❗Artificial fragrance, added perfume in ingredients (fragrance is often an irritant for sensitive skin, so it's best avoided) This product could be much better without the artificial fragrance. ❗Even without applying thickly, layering twice causes the product to pill like dead skin cells. Not recommended for use before makeup application.
