Using a spatula allows for a thin, even application - it's fantastic! Layering it multiple times increases coverage. Even without setting powder, it doesn't break down easily! The shade is perfect, neither too dark nor too light. It matches my skin tone so well that if it doesn't look patchy, you can't even tell I'm wearing it. While the case looks pretty, it's a bit impractical... The round lid doesn't quite match the angular container, which is disappointing. - 6w********Normal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesRecommendedAug 12, 2023
It doesn't break down messily when it wears off. It also doesn't transfer to your mask or get stuck in your nose creases. It's so lightweight and quick to apply that you can even use just your fingers. The oil content is moderate, and it seems to last about 5 hours. The coverage is so-so, but it's not bad if you use a concealer. By the time I get home from school, it's mostly worn off, leaving me looking almost bare-faced. The foundation itself runs a bit light. I usually use shade 23, but for my darker complexion, shade 24 was just perfect. - qh******Normal SkinRecommendedJun 2, 2023
The texture is light and natural-looking. It matches well with my yellowish, slightly darker skin tone. The coverage is too sheer. Also, it tends to slide down my face. However, it works perfectly when used together with the Hince concealer. - tm*******Dry SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 23, 2023
- I love that this shade is on the darker side, which is hard to find in foundations! It's spot-on for shade 24 as described. I'm closer to shade 25, so it's a bit light but still usable for me. - As someone with extremely dry skin, most makeup tends to flake off easily, but this product doesn't as much! It's great that it doesn't leave a greasy finish either. - The finish feels light and not heavy at all! The coverage is practically non-existent. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this foundation if you're looking for coverage - it's more for enhancing your skin texture. Since I have dry skin, I first apply Etude's Glow On, then use a foundation spatula to apply this. I follow up with a damp Clio Hydro puff. Due to the lack of coverage, I mix it with a bit of another foundation and build up several layers! - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedJun 21, 2022
I loved how moisturizing it was and how incredibly thin it applied. After using a skin pack, if you apply it thinly multiple times with a damp sponge, it gives a beautiful glow and creates a dewy complexion that I really like. While I personally prefer products without much coverage, so I liked this, it's worth noting that this product has almost no coverage at all. - sj*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 20, 2022
My skin type is prone to occasional pimples and reddish acne scars, though the major breakouts have stopped. Being a bit lazy and sleepy, I've been relying solely on Kill Cover cushion. Now, I'm looking for something that's less likely to emphasize dead skin cells and more hydrating, so I bought a foundation for the first time in 10 years. Application: The texture doesn't slide off. It applies in a very thin layer, so I double-tap on areas with acne scars on my cheeks (though I wonder if it makes much difference). Coverage: I've given up on high coverage this time, so it really doesn't cover much at all. It does conceal redness, but you can still tell 'Oh, they have acne scars' to some extent. Scent: None Shade: I've always used shade 23, but everyone kept telling me I should go a full shade lighter, not just half. So for the first time, I tried shade 24. Well... the lighter shade does look pretty. Maybe because it doesn't look like I'm wearing makeup...? It might be a bit dark though. Using foundation for the first time in 10 years, I was really torn between applying it with my hands, a brush, or a puff. It's such a hassle... Even though I'm using a damp sponge, I still notice some dead skin cells flaking around my mouth and cheek area. Ugh... it's really frustrating. It's much better than Clio in terms of the affected area, but I'm still wondering what the issue could be. After watching tons of YouTube videos about the Hince foundation, I decided to go with a sponge. I bought the Olive Young Jelly King sponge and the Skinfood Wedge Puff. The Jelly King is used damp, so it feels really moist and gives a nice, skin-hugging application. I haven't tried the Wedge Puff yet, so I can't say much about it. - ru****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 21, 2022
If you prioritize a lightweight application and a natural skin-like finish over high coverage, this foundation will become your holy grail. It barely darkens throughout the day and has minimal transfer onto masks. Being accustomed to moisturizing foundation formulas (like the Sulwhasoo Perfecting line), I was surprised at how thick this felt initially and how quickly it set. I expected a smooth, hydrating application due to its 'second skin' claim, but it felt different. The shade 24 Buff appeared a bit light for me. I typically use shades 24-25 as most 23 shades on the market look bright on my skin. (Sulwhasoo Perfecting 25 is my perfect match). While I can use 23 sometimes, I personally dislike bases that brighten too much, preferring a natural, healthy skin look, so this might have seemed lighter to me. This foundation works best with a brush. I wouldn't recommend applying it with your fingers. Rather than feeling moisturizing, it has a matte, thin texture that sets quickly, so it's best to blend it swiftly. Like with any foundation, applying thin layers (multiple times if needed) rather than one thick layer will help you make the most of this product's strengths. Initially, I thought it was just matte, but after adding an extra skincare step and applying it thinly and evenly, I noticed a natural glow and beautiful skin finish a few hours later, which looked even better than right after application. - ca*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 27, 2021
I have a skin tone that usually makes typical 23 shades look too pale on me. My complexion is on the darker side with reddish undertones. For reference, I use beige shades from Bobbi Brown. The 24 Buff shade applies incredibly thinly and adheres well to my skin, without looking ashy or mismatched. It blends seamlessly, matching my natural skin tone without any noticeable difference between my face and neck. As someone with super sensitive skin who easily feels discomfort or tingling, I'm pleased to report that this product doesn't cause any such irritation. Given its matte finish, it might be beneficial to ensure a solid skincare routine beforehand for the best results. I found that applying it with a flat foundation brush works wonderfully for a flawless application. Using a brush seems to be more effective than using your fingers, especially considering how fluid the formula is!
