When I was dealing with super dry skin under my mask, acne breakouts, makeup pilling, and so much stress that I visited a dermatologist and upgraded my Olive Young membership for the first time, I stumbled upon this gem. My local Olive Young was offering it as a gift with purchase during their renewal promotion, so my mom and I pooled our money to get it. And wow, what a find! It absolutely demolished my deep dryness - no exaggeration. While I'm not sure about its soothing properties, tackling the dehydration helped reduce my cystic acne and really cleared up my skin. I'm pretty happy with the results. Pro tip: keep it in the fridge for an extra refreshing skin pack! I loved it so much I bought another bottle with my own money after finishing the first one. Now I'm slathering it on daily. In summer, one layer is enough to keep my skin hydrated all day. My face doesn't feel tight at all after cleansing anymore! The texture feels slightly slippery, like it's really working into the skin. For me, it absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling super hydrated and moisturized.
ConsIt's not really a calming toner, it's more focused on hydration. If your skin's oil-water balance is suddenly off or you're dealing with extreme dehydration like I was, you might notice some soothing effects. When you address the deep dryness, it naturally helps with both closed comedones and cystic acne. However, it doesn't seem to do much for exfoliation. I still use a separate wash-off pack for that. But honestly, when you're properly hydrated and moisturized, you don't tend to get as much dead skin buildup anyway.
TipI highly recommend trying this during seasonal changes! You can find it at Olive Young for around 10,000 won for 300ml, which is a great deal. Even if you find it just okay and don't reach for it often, it's perfect for hydrating skin packs. It's packed with moisture, making it ideal for this use, and the cooling effect helps reduce skin temperature.

It's not too watery, but has a soft, bouncy texture with hyaluronic acid that provides a basic level of hydration. It works well when applied with a cotton pad to even out skin tone, and it's also nice to use right after cleansing.
ConsI didn't notice any improvement in dead skin cell removal as claimed. Unlike other toners, this one caused pilling when I applied serum and cream afterwards, which was disappointing.

As someone with super sensitive skin, I'm really impressed. For a toner, it's incredibly hydrating. Usually, it's hard to expect much moisture from toners, but this one's hydration power is quite good. It doesn't evaporate quickly and seems to provide some deep moisturization too. It's like a watery toner with a slight viscosity, not sticky at all. It feels... moisturizing? While it doesn't absorb instantly, if you pat it in, you'll find it's been absorbed. I think it's due to its hydrating power. Applying it makes my skin feel comfortable, and it's great for using without any burden. The bottle label is easy to separate, which is a big plus for a mom with sore wrists like me. It's nice to see a brand thinking about the environment. Considering the volume, price, ingredients, etc., I think the value for money is excellent.
ConsIt doesn't seem to do much for dead skin cell management. It appears to focus mainly on hydration. Still, for a toner, I think it's really well-made.
TipApply it generously without holding back. The moisturizing effect is great!
