I've used this product more than 5 times. In many cases, I only used this cream, and in the winter, this cream along with an ampoule was sufficient.
Cons
It's quite heavy and oily for summer use. I dilute it with toner or apply it in small amounts.

Pros
I used to regularly visit the dermatology clinic for a year and was finally able to recover my skin to a normal (?) level. I used to only use dermatologist-recommended products, but now that my skin has stabilized, I just need to do a little management for the occasional breakouts. Since I basically have acne-prone skin, I tend to look for gentle and soothing products. However, since I have combination skin, if I apply the wrong cosmetics, my skin can get extremely oily or develop a lot of flaky dead skin. So I've tried all sorts of products and have been using different ones for each season, but couldn't really settle on anything until now. This product was one that I had tried before but stopped using because it felt too moisturizing. But I think my skin type has changed a bit as I've aged, and using this along with the La Roche-Posay Effaclar line, it's been working well even in the summer. And with consistent long-term use, it seems to have a calming effect on my acne scars and redness. It's almost like gently applying Madecassol every day and seeing a gradual improvement. (But don't expect dramatic results.) This product is not really recommended for oily skin, but is good for combination+sensitive skin types. If you have dry skin, you might need to use it with another moisturizer so it doesn't feel too drying. It feels moisturizing when you apply it, but can get a bit drying after a while. Anyway, since this has become a staple in my routine, I really hope it doesn't get discontinued.

The reason I took off one star is that even though it's suitable for combination skin, over time it can still cause some oiliness. Since it's a cream, it has a slightly heavier feel compared to a lotion, and if you don't apply it thinly, it can feel a bit sticky. For those who tend to have a lot of oil buildup, I'd recommend applying it thinly.

The best part is the texture and spreadability. It glides on smoothly and sinks into the skin seamlessly! As a result, makeup applied on top doesn't slip or slide, and the foundation adheres well to the skin. This may vary from person to person, but the oil-water balance was just right for me - not too drying, not too oily, just perfect. Lalalila and Lohbs often have 1+1 sales on this product, so that's the best time to buy. Don't get it at regular price, only during those sales. Also, I found out you can get it for 10,000 won at the official Menshorada store - good to know!
Cons
The downside is the 40ml size. It's more than 30ml, but it would be great if they had a larger size option too. There are no functional benefits. No anti-aging or whitening properties, so it may not be enough for those who want to complete their skincare routine with just one or two products. I was selected as a Hwahae Trial Reviewer and I'm leaving a review after using the product! First of all, I felt like the minor troubles were being soothed. When I used it on days when I was feeling tired and unwell, I definitely noticed an improvement the next day.
Cons
It hasn't been effective enough to treat cystic acne yet! It was a bit burdensome because of the high oil content.
