The soothing function was effective, so I gave it 3 stars. This product doesn't actually treat acne, but it does have a soothing effect on irritated skin. In the summer a couple years ago, my sebum production suddenly became very active, and I hastily switched my basic skincare line in a panic. I had thought my skin was combination, but it had become oily, so I've been consistently using this product up until recently. Using this, I haven't had any more episodes of my sebum going wild.

Last year and this year, I've had my makeup done by a professional a few times, and they've commented that my face was dry. I had been applying the Acnes essence and this cream thickly, but at the time I thought it was because I hadn't been sleeping enough. But recently, my skin has been acting up again. I have a cluster of small pimples on my forehead that are swollen and red, and I keep getting breakouts all over my face. So I boldly switched to a different oily skin basic skincare line, but the problem is, it's way too drying and has even caused an allergic reaction. That's how I (re)realized that my skin is combination with sensitivity, and that I had been using drying products all this time. The small pimples and breakouts seem to have been caused by lack of moisture. After buying a new non-irritating moisturizer and applying it, my skin texture and breakouts have improved a lot.
Tip
I have combination, oily-dry, and sensitive skin. My forehead (around the temples), and sides of my nose are oily, while the rest is dry-combination, and the eye area is sensitive. If you have a similar skin type, before trying out oily skin or acne products, I'd recommend trying a moisturizing product first. If you still get small pimples and breakouts even after properly hydrating with a gentle product, then you could consider trying this one. +If breakouts keep occurring unrelated to hormones, it's best to visit a dermatologist.

I came across this product through the Hwahae Trial Reviewer event. The spreadability is good. Hmm...unfortunately, I think this may be the first and last positive point for me.
Cons
I had to stop using it right away because of the shea butter, which kept causing me trouble. After applying the cream in the morning, I had to rush to wash my face again before the cream was even fully absorbed, as I had quickly applied sunscreen on top. I'm not sure if this was my own fault or a flaw of the product. The fact that it peels off later on is also disappointing.
