At first, I was surprised by the large packaging.
I felt good that the product packaging was all paper and corn filler, making it environmentally friendly.
As I have a combination skin type that leans oily, the essence felt a bit heavy at first, but it absorbed quickly and left my skin feeling moisturized.
I was satisfied.

The pump-style dropper didn't work well to dispense the product, so I ended up having to use the regular dropper that came with it instead.
I don't like the regular dropper because the rubber handle tends to attract dust, so I was hoping the pump would be better. It was a bit disappointing.

This is a sensitive skin product.
When I first applied it to my skin, the texture felt a bit heavy, so I thought it might be a bit oily. But when I applied it, it spread on smoothly and absorbed nicely, leaving a slightly powdery finish. It didn't feel dry at all.
So I found this to be an excellent summer essence for my sensitive skin!
The floral scent is also very pleasant and comfortable.

There are two types of caps, so you can choose the one that suits your preference! The original cap is a button-style tip, and there's an additional rubber dropper tip included as well~ The button-style cap, you open the lid and press the button from the outside, then release the button once it's inside the container, and the product comes out well ㅎㅎ

As soon as you apply it, your skin is overflowing with moisture!! It absorbs quickly and smoothly without any stickiness!! The fragrance is incredibly luxurious and neutral, like a woody scent? It's a subtle yet deep aroma that permeates the air ㅎㅎ I think it's because it contains birch leaf extract, so it's reminiscent of fresh leaves and the scent of damp wood ㅎㅎ After applying, a moisture barrier forms on the skin's surface, immediately addressing any dryness! Even though it's an essence, it feels like a highly concentrated ampoule serum ㅎㅎ It finishes off refreshingly without any stickiness, which was perfect for my oily skin~!
It's been a while since I've found a basic skincare product that makes me feel this much moisture and hydration^^ The product says 'Inviting your weary skin to the shade of the Finnish forest' on it, and when you smell the fragrance, you really do feel like you've been invited to a birch tree forest..!

The product is meant to be absorbed into the skin, but it has pilling, which is disappointing. I usually don't prefer products with pilling and fragrance, but this one has such a fresh scent and good usage experience that it's hard to give up.

It provided immediate and sufficient hydration to my dehydrated skin, improving the dryness to some extent.
The moisturizing power is relatively a bit lacking, but not severely so.

The button-type dropper dispenses a slightly smaller amount of product than I would prefer. Other than that, I didn't experience any particular issues or discomfort.

The scent is pleasant, with a refreshing herbal aroma blended with a slight powdery note. Personally, I prefer the herbaceous, grassy scent, so I enjoyed it. 
The texture has a light viscosity, applies smoothly, and absorbs well. For oily skin, it may not feel completely matte, but it provides a decent level of moisture. It doesn't have an overly heavy or sticky feel, so it's comfortable to apply.
I'm not sure yet about the calming or brightening effects.

About 5 days after using it, I started getting large pimples. ㅠ

I was selected as a Hwahae Trial Reviewer and was able to use the product, and although I was quite worried since I have sensitive skin, I was satisfied with the first use as it absorbs quickly and is moisturizing!

I didn't really feel a calming effect, but my skin didn't break out either.

Even after applying it multiple times, the moisture content continued to increase without any pilling, which was great. The more you use it, the better it gets.

1. The fragrance was too strong. As someone sensitive to scents, I experienced nausea for a while after applying it, and needed time to get used to it.
2. The dropper was problematic. I'm not sure if I received a defective product or if that's how it's supposed to be, but it was quite inconvenient to use.

In conclusion, I was really satisfied with this product. The moisture content was so good that the slight stickiness was negligible. Three of us, including myself, tried it and it did not seem to be problematic for any skin type. I also have the intention to purchase it myself later.
