I tried both the Airy 21N and Perfecting 21N cushions. They're highly recommended, and I heard the shades run dark, so I went for 21. Both have a slight ashy undertone, but the difference between face and neck wasn't too noticeable. The Airy version definitely has more hydration, giving the face a glow and appearing slightly less bright. Even when the makeup wore off, it wasn't too obvious. However, it did tend to fade a bit faster. The Perfecting cushion offers higher coverage with a more matte finish. Because of this, applying a larger amount can significantly brighten your complexion, though it's easy to end up with a thicker application. I'd say the Airy is great for winter, while the Perfecting would be perfect for summer. The main issue with this Sulwhasoo cushion is that the shade has a strong ashy undertone. That aspect was a bit disappointing for me. You need to apply it in very thin layers. For areas where you want more coverage, gradually build it up with light touches. - yj****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 22, 2025
■Texture I've gone through 5 compacts of the Layered Fit Cushion - it's my holy grail. This version feels even smoother, just a touch more refined. As someone with combination dehydrated skin prone to blemishes and dead skin cells around acne, I've started avoiding even semi-matte finishes in summer. ■Coverage It covers about 90% of minor red blemishes or acne scars. Yet it doesn't look thick at all! ■Adherence The formula has a delightfully bouncy texture that adheres beautifully to the skin. ■Oxidation The color fades naturally without making your complexion look dull. ■Compact Design I had a preconception that Sulwhasoo was an outdated brand, but wow, this is so luxurious! The included puff is a perfect match too. I loved that it's slightly soft yet appropriately thin. ■Shade I usually use 21N, but if you want a slightly lighter look, go up one shade! The color match is almost too perfect, which is a tiny bit disappointing. However, the clear yellow base helps mitigate this somewhat. ■Recommended for Those who want a matte cushion that doesn't feel drying on the skin. - yu**********Normal SkinRecommendedMay 12, 2025
It has great staying power and the shade is beautiful. No darkening, and it feels light and weightless on the skin. I can't think of any particular downsides. It was really good. - mu*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 29, 2025
The puff applicator is excellent. It seems to adhere well to the skin. Great for daily use. The coverage doesn't seem to be particularly strong. However, the other aspects were good enough to make up for it. I love the puff so much that I often use it to apply other foundations or concealers. - fz********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresMar 28, 2025
The Inner Glow is beautifully moisturizing and smooth! Those with dry skin might need to build a solid skincare base to minimize dryness. The cushion compact is also lovely! While the skin looks beautiful right after application, the longevity is disappointing. My oily skin seems to make it even more greasy over time. Those with oily skin might find it challenging to use in summer. The price is also quite steep. - al**********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 8, 2025
Everyone, you simply must buy this. It's my holy grail product. I've tried countless cushions, each with its own pros and cons, and I couldn't settle on one product. But then I stumbled upon this one, and it's so incredibly good that I've finally found my go-to. First off, I've used both the Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion and the Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion Airy. To be clear, I prefer the original Perfecting Cushion. While it's less hydrating than the Airy version, it offers better coverage. But don't worry, it's not drying at all. It leaves a beautiful, porcelain-like semi-matte finish. It even covers pores well, making blackheads invisible. Personally, I've found it has less darkening and better longevity than any other cushion I've used. To be honest, I used to think Sulwhasoo had a rather old-fashioned image, but this product is absolutely amazing. If you're a cushion nomad, I highly recommend giving this a try. The price. The wicked price. That's the real issue... I buy mine on Zigzag. After comparing everywhere, I found it's the cheapest there, especially with their coupons. - se**********Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 2, 2025

1. Absorbs well with a moisturizing texture, making it easy to apply quickly. Even in winter, it doesn't dry out combination skin. 2. Satisfactory coverage for blemishes! (Of course, deep scars need concealer, but it covers light blemishes well) 3. The shade doesn't look ashy on 22-23 skin tones 4. Generous amount compared to department store cushions 5. The mirror design on the outer case is very convenient. It's really handy to use as a mirror without opening the cushion. 6. Doesn't break down messily. Except for areas like around the mouth after eating and brushing teeth, it lasts all day without needing touch-ups. Among carefully selected cushion products, this one feels very comfortable to use and gives the impression of a hexagonal cushion. Highly recommended for those who want a reasonably priced, good department store cushion with a nice feel. - It tends to transfer a lot onto the puff, so if you don't distribute it on your face after one dab, it can apply thickly. - In summer, when shade 23 is suitable, it might initially look whiter on the face compared to the neck, but it settles down nicely after some time. - ha*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 29, 2025
It covers pores well and fades beautifully. Definitely worth the high price tag. Compared to other cushions, it causes fewer blemishes, but I still experienced some breakouts. My super sensitive skin is really a challenge! - 59********Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 6, 2025
I love its lightweight texture. It adheres well to the skin and provides good coverage. I can't recommend this for oily skin types in summer. It tends to become a bit sheer.
