It absorbs well, doesn't feel sticky, and leaves the skin feeling light and fresh It tends to run, doesn't absorb properly, has an artificial scent, doesn't help with deep dryness, and feels oily - cs*****Oily SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresFeb 10, 2025
I thought it would be super watery since it's called 'Sun Animal Emulsion', but I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't as thin as I expected. It clumps up terribly. Even when you rub it in, it forms white clumps. Patting doesn't help either. It's so prone to pilling that I'm hesitant to use it. - c7********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 10, 2025
Even though it's a mineral sunscreen, there's no white cast and it absorbs quickly, which is really convenient. Apart from a slight improvement in skin texture, I don't notice any other changes. The formula is quite runny, so you just need to be careful not to spill it. There's a slight oiliness, but it shouldn't be an issue unless you have very oily skin. - bu*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMay 26, 2024
The emulsion-type formula allows for easy application without feeling heavy. It provides a subtle brightening effect with its moderate white cast. Layering multiple times can lead to pilling or product buildup. Occasionally, you might notice clumps of product sticking to your face. The product may sometimes separate. Remember to shake well before each use for best results. - bl******Dry SkinSensitive SkinWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedApr 8, 2024
I love this product so much that I've been stocking up on it. I'm extremely sensitive to sunscreens, but since they're essential, I can't avoid them. So I'm always very careful when choosing one. My testing routine involves applying it and walking around for a couple of hours. If my eyes don't tear up, I'll buy it. The most crucial factor is whether it causes my eyes to water, followed by how well it absorbs, if it leaves an excessive white cast, and if it's too rich. This product passed my two-hour walking test without causing any eye irritation. The absorption is excellent too. In my experience, sunscreens that don't irritate my eyes often contain a lot of mineral filters, which tend to leave a strong white cast. However, the Goong Jung Bi Chaek sunscreen doesn't have an intense white cast. It's just right - giving a slight brightening effect. It could even work as a brightening moisturizer. Perhaps due to the mineral filters, it's not too rich either, leaving a pleasant, slightly powdery finish. But it's not drying at all. Even when applied right after cleansing, the texture feels comfortably hydrating. Overall, I'm very satisfied. Once I finish my current Goong Jung Bi Chaek sunscreen, I plan to try the Mild version next. The product I'm currently using has been discontinued, but it had a small protrusion on the cap that seemed to block the opening when closed, preventing leakage. However, this part was quite fragile and broke at some point. As a result, sunscreen would pool inside the cap. I hope in the upgraded version, this part of the cap is improved. - jh*****Combination SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMar 27, 2024
I've been using Goong Jung Bi Cheok since my kids were little, so it's a trusted product. Being an emulsion type, it seems great for both face and body application. The mineral UV filters make it less irritating, which is excellent. I tried it first before using it on my child, and I find the absorption quite good for an emulsion. It should be perfect for summer use. There's nothing particularly disappointing, but being an emulsion, don't expect it to be like a typical sunscreen. It's quite fluid. If you're using a sun emulsion for the first time, you might wonder, 'What's this? Why is it so thin?' But that's normal for this type of product. Make sure to shake well before use. If you follow this rule, you'll find yourself reaching for this sun emulsion more and more as the weather gets warmer, especially in summer. - ye*********Normal SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMar 27, 2024
After trying this product, I've not only settled on it for my child's sunscreen but I'm using it too! It's so good that I wonder why adult sunscreens aren't made in this emulsion type. It applies incredibly smoothly and any white cast disappears in an instant. It's perfect for those busy mornings getting ready for school. It's fair to say there's no white cast at all. Many sunscreens that apply this well often cause eye irritation, but this one doesn't sting the eyes at all. It also doesn't cause any deep dryness, and it has SPF 50! Why wouldn't you buy it? I couldn't find any downsides. The scent is nice and it absorbs well. I'm tempted to try the sun stick from the same company too, since a stick would be more convenient for reapplying outdoors. Moms, you should try it too! I think this type of sunscreen will become a trend item soon! - dg********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsMar 24, 2024
I bought this because it was supposed to be good for sensitive skin, but it didn't really work for me. On the bright side, it has a pleasant scent and isn't sticky, which I appreciated. I purchased this towards the end of last summer and used it a bit. When I tried to use it again recently, I found it had completely liquefied. - fl********Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityMar 20, 2024
Pleasant herbal scent. Convenient, portable container. Applies lightly with a thin consistency. Needs to be shaken and mixed before use. Difficult to control the amount dispensed. - al********Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 5, 2024
Etude Sunprise Watery Finish... After my all-time favorite sunscreen was discontinued and I went through a nomadic sunscreen phase, this has become my second holy grail sunscreen! There are no downsides! The price is just right, especially when it's on sale or purchased at duty-free shops.
