It absorbs well, sinks in nicely, and doesn't leave any unpleasant residue. I really like it! The size is a bit small, which is disappointing, and it wears off easily. It would be better if it came in a larger size. It's best to squeeze out just a little and pat it on gently in small amounts. That works great! - wk*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 16, 2023
There's honestly nothing good to say. I'm not sure how to write more than 20 characters about this... It's not even good for use on the body. This is the worst sunscreen I've ever tried. It's a total disaster. Sticky, leaves a white cast, and pills like crazy. Even if your skin is in top condition that day, using this will make it look terrible! - sa***Combination SkinSensitive SkinNov 6, 2022
This is my favorite sunscreen with a white cast. I bought it from Sephora, and I was immediately drawn to its eco-friendly claims of being safe for marine life, dolphins, and the ocean ecosystem. After purchasing, I checked the reviews on the Hwahae app and briefly wondered if I'd made a mistake. But I was determined to make it work, partly out of stubbornness and partly to support the brand's ethos and efforts in creating this product. The texture is unique compared to other sunscreens I've tried. When first applying it to your face, it feels like a fine plaster mixed with honey. I remember reading an article about how many brands add various chemicals to improve the application feel, so I wondered if this product's unusual texture was due to the absence of those additives. I was satisfied with its white cast that provides a brightening effect, and its rich, hydrating feel during application. I always wash my hands after applying sunscreen to avoid getting it in my hair while blow-drying. This product rinses off cleanly without leaving any residue, which I love. With other sunscreens, I often need to use soap to remove the sticky feeling, but not with this one. Due to its thick consistency, it takes some time to spread evenly. If not applied carefully, you can end up with patchy areas that are more noticeable because of the white cast. The real shock comes later in the day when I look in the mirror and see white, flaky patches on my cheeks - thank goodness for masks, or I'd be mortified by the state of my skin! I'm not sure what causes this. I thought it might be incompatible with my moisturizer, but when I tested it on the back of my hand over my regular cream, it looked perfect. I've just done another test on my hand for this review, and it still looks flawless there. It seems the issue only occurs on my face, or perhaps it develops over time after application. And remember how I mentioned it washes off easily? Well, that's both a pro and a con. If I brush my teeth after applying this sunscreen, I end up with white streaks around my mouth. Even water droplets that run down my chin while rinsing leave visible marks. I'm still trying to find a way to make this work, as I have quite a bit left. Especially considering that nowadays you can find many sunscreens on sale with buy-one-get-one-free offers, or cheaper options at other stores (though admittedly, few would be as environmentally conscious as this one). I want to use it up, if only to get my money's worth. I haven't found a solution yet, but if I do, I'll update my review with additional feedback. - af*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedAug 15, 2022
- Vegan-formulated and cruelty-free - Safe for all forms of life - Sustainable packaging - Clean ingredients This mineral sunscreen uses Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide as UV filters. It doesn't cause any irritation to my skin or eyes. It's not overly rich and actually does a pretty good job of keeping oil production under control for most of the day. The formula is easy to remove. This sunscreen is incredibly difficult to spread and blend. There's a lot of tugging and pulling on the skin involved. The white cast is also hard to love as it's quite noticeable. If I apply the recommended two-finger amount, there's no way I'd leave the house with this sunscreen on. - wh*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 20, 2022
It's a mineral sunscreen with a soft yellow, natural tint like organic sunscreens. I really liked the matte finish. 1. It dries quickly, so you need to spread it fast. Otherwise, it clumps on one side and over time, white powder appears like dead skin cells. You need to apply it swiftly when putting it on. - le***********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsRednessSep 24, 2021
Skin Type | Combination Dehydrated Skin This vegan sunscreen is thoughtful for both your skin and the environment. With its high SPF, you can use it confidently even in midsummer. It's almost irritation-free on the skin. I love how it naturally evens out my skin tone. Despite being a vegan sunscreen, it's not greasy and has an incredibly rich texture. Even with the gentlest sunscreens, I used to experience some eye stinging, but this one doesn't sting at all. I highly recommend this to anyone who has struggled with eye irritation from sunscreens before. As a sunscreen nomad, I tend to use up products that aren't too oily. While this product isn't greasy, it's extremely difficult to apply and doesn't absorb well. I'm really disappointed since I researched and had high expectations when purchasing. I know higher SPF can make application a bit tougher and cause some white cast, but this one is so hard to spread that it's difficult to use daily. Initially, I thought I wasn't doing my skincare routine properly, so I tried applying it several times with different methods. However, it's still too slow to absorb for a quick application before heading out. I even tried leaving it on for a while, but it still left white patches on my cheeks later. Everything else about it is good, but the application is a major drawback. Applying it with a puff helps it absorb a bit better. (Additional review) As the seasons changed and my skin became drier, I thought I couldn't use it anymore. But then I tried mixing a couple of drops of my daily serum with the sunscreen, and now it doesn't leave any white patches and feels moisturizing! I'm finally able to use it comfortably every day. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 3, 2021
I loved the natural brightening effect. While the initial application wasn't particularly smooth, I appreciated how it adhered well to my skin without any pilling. It also provided a bit of coverage, which was nice. As I continued applying, I noticed it felt extremely drying. Even though I don't have dry skin, it seemed to strip all the moisture from my face. You might need to layer on a heavy moisturizer underneath. The biggest disappointment was the irritation - especially around my eyes. My skin became red, swollen, and itchy, likely due to sensitivity. While it might be good for the environment, it definitely didn't agree with my super sensitive skin! Those with easily irritated skin should take note!
