1) Absorbs well It applies smoothly. Even if you're not a beauty expert, you can pat it on and spread it easily. The texture isn't too matte or too moisturizing - it's just right with a moderate level of hydration. If you've done a very thorough skincare routine beforehand, you might experience a bit of pilling, but that's only if you've really layered on the products, so no need to worry. 2) Skin appearance Even without an extensive skincare routine, it manages to smooth out dry areas without looking parched. While it's not ultra-hydrating, it provides enough moisture to give your skin a non-dry glow. 3) Ingredients Among department store cushions, this seems to have the kindest ingredients. When I used Armani foundation, the harsh ingredients caused a lot of blemishes, but with this one, I didn't experience any breakouts while using it due to its gentle formulation. 4) Fragrance Overall, the scent isn't unpleasant, and I appreciated that it's less intense than Hera's fragrance. 1) Color range Everything else is great, but the limited color selection is disappointing. The shade matches my warm undertone perfectly, but it doesn't necessarily brighten my complexion. It just evens out my skin tone by one shade. 2) Applicator The white puff gets dirty easily, and its velvet-like texture means it needs frequent cleaning. I tried to purchase replacement puffs, but they were always sold out. Since it doesn't have sun protection, make sure to apply sunscreen before using this cushion. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 30, 2022
It absorbs thinly, has a pleasant scent, doesn't pill when applied, and seems to have good staying power The coverage is a bit lacking and it tends to accentuate dead skin cells - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSep 5, 2022
It applies in an incredibly thin layer while giving a natural skin appearance. Though it might seem too sheer at first, its buildable coverage is actually quite satisfactory. The coverage is a bit on the lower side, which is somewhat disappointing. The puff feels too dense and seems to absorb too much product while releasing too little, which is also a drawback. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinApr 21, 2022
Personally, I love how well the color shows up. It absorbs smoothly and feels silky on the skin. The coverage seems to be about medium. Unfortunately, it doesn't provide as much coverage as I'd hoped, and it's not the best value for money. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJan 21, 2022
Despite having Chanel's elegant case, the impressive ingredients are perhaps its biggest advantage! I suspect many people buy it for that reason. It applies incredibly lightly - you might wonder if it's actually going on. While I haven't worn it out with a mask yet, others praise how it doesn't transfer. This is likely due to its natural coverage. Speaking of coverage, it's surprisingly good - maybe because I didn't expect much! It naturally conceals about 60-70% of imperfections, though large blemishes still need concealer. After using B-plane sunscreen and just this cushion, I noticed some breakdown and mask transfer when I came home. However, it breaks down in a way that's easy to touch up, with a pleasant richness coming through rather than looking messy. I can confirm the minimal mask transfer! I deliberately tried touching up the broken-down areas at home. With the original Chanel puff, it seemed to absorb some of the oil, which is good, but it did clump a bit. The fwee puff made touch-ups easier, finding a nice balance between richness and glow. I realized the Chanel puff might work well for summer touch-ups. Even when touching up, it's clearly a lightweight cushion. Up close you can see some dead skin cells and clumping particles, but overall it looks quite clean. The more I use it, the more I like everything except the color - and even that's growing on me now, like a 'my skin but better' effect. There's a bit of emphasis on dead skin cells, but it feels very light and comfortable on the skin. The color is really... was this the best they could do? I wish it had a bit more of a brightening effect. It was recommended as the lightest shade, but for someone who uses 21-22, it's just far too natural. I was shown the BR12 color in-store - it's pink-toned but more muted than B10. Worried about darkening, I chose B10 despite being cool-toned. My skin is dry lately with some flaking, and this does emphasize dead skin cells. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAug 27, 2021
First off, it gets 5 stars for its amazing adherence and lightweight application. Surprisingly, despite the ingredients not being top-notch, I didn't experience any blemishes. The staying power is truly impressive. As someone with oily skin, I do need to touch up with powder occasionally, but it's remarkable how it lasts all day without major touch-ups while still feeling so light on the skin. The price... it makes me want to cry! It's wickedly expensive without a refill option. But I guess you're paying for the brand name, and more importantly, the longevity and how thinly it applies. Well, if it makes you look good, that's what matters, right? The coverage might not be extraordinary, but since I don't prioritize heavy coverage, it worked fine for me. Make sure to apply a base. Use anything, just make sure you use something. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJun 28, 2021
Honestly, I didn't expect much, but this product is fantastic even without considering the Chanel brand value. When first applied, it has a nice semi-matte texture that isn't overly powdery. Surprisingly, it lasts for over 12 hours. There's minimal breakdown, and even after 12 hours, it still looks clean and fresh, not messy at all. It applies incredibly thin, yet the coverage is quite good. The application itself feels luxurious. As for the shade, I have a light 21 tone, and it looks perfectly natural on me. I'm definitely considering repurchasing. The only downside is the very high price and small amount of product.
