I think this product, being on the richer side, would be better suited for winter use rather than summer. Even those with oily skin might find it more compatible and hydrating during colder months. Despite its rich texture, when applied in moderation rather than slathered on, it didn't cause any skin reactions or breakouts. The ingredients are high-quality, and the quantity seems appropriate for the price point. I purchased and used this product in summer, but I'm planning to save it for winter use. Initially, I was surprised by how rich it felt - you can really sense the oiliness when applying and massaging it into the skin, which was a bit disappointing. Those with dry skin might enjoy using this year-round. As for me, I'll need to test it more in winter, but I suspect those with oily skin might experience blemishes if they apply too much. Recommended for oily skin types during winter! As it's a rich product, there's a risk of blemishes, so it's best to apply a moderate amount rather than slathering it on generously! - se*********Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 8, 2023
I chose this product because I wanted a lighter formula than an emulsion. It comes out with an almost water-like texture, so I was worried it might lack hydration, but when I applied it to my face, I found it had just the right amount of oil, not just moisture. Perhaps that's why it provides sufficient hydration. This is my first time using an emulsion, and I like this formula much more than creams or traditional emulsions. With creams or emulsions, I often found they were too greasy when applied or relied heavily on dimethicone for a nice feel, which I really disliked. This one absorbs well, feels great on the skin, and doesn't leave my face looking shiny, which I love. While I didn't feel it lacked hydration, those with extremely dry skin might want to use it alongside an essence or light ampoule. I'm using just this emulsion alone, morning and night. The feeling when applying is a bit off...? It feels quite oily on the face. If you've tried Anessa sunmilk, you might find it similar. It's not really a drawback, but I'm mentioning it to give those reading this review an idea of how it feels. Rather than continuously rubbing your face to absorb the emulsion, it seems more effective to spread it evenly and let it dry naturally. - lo********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 6, 2023
I'm using this because it prevents blemishes. I really hope it doesn't get discontinued. It's fantastic! Everyone should give it a try. There are absolutely no downsides. Zero, zilch, nada, nothing at all! - qw*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedMar 24, 2023
I bought this based on the ratings, and I'm impressed with how well it works on its own. With other skincare products, I used to experience deep dryness, which led to tingling and tightness after a while. However, this emulsion is fantastic - just one application effectively combats deep dryness and provides excellent hydration. I'm really pleased with it, and the generous amount is a bonus! If you apply a bit too much, it can feel quite rich and may lead to blemishes. As long as you're careful with the amount you use, it should be fine. - sh*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 24, 2023
I have sensitive combination/dehydrated skin. While it's not physically sensitive (I can wear a mask for hours and sweat without any issues), I'm quite particular about choosing skincare products due to chemical sensitivities. I stumbled upon this product on Hwahae and decided to try it based on the positive reviews. I'm pleasantly surprised - it causes no irritation and provides excellent hydration. This is the first Dr.G product that has truly impressed me. (I'm actually puzzled why they're not promoting this more than their Red Blemish Cream!) Given its intense moisturizing properties, it does leave a slightly rich feeling on the skin. Those with oily skin might find it a bit too heavy during summer, potentially leading to excess sebum production. But then again, if you have oily skin, that's often an unavoidable issue regardless of the product you use. - so****Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 14, 2023
After using it twice, I knew I had to write a review! It's incredibly hydrating, doesn't cause blemishes, and leaves my skin so soft. Please, I beg you, never discontinue this product! I'll use it for life. This line is seriously underrated because they don't promote it enough. Everyone's missing out! Please advertise it more. It's just too good! There's absolutely nothing bad to say... I can't find a single flaw! It's just too amazing. Just buy it, you won't regret it! - je********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 3, 2022
I highly recommend this for those with sensitive skin who can't use just anything! As someone who used to have severe acne in my early 20s and now only gets occasional small blemishes, I have combination-dehydrated skin. Sometimes when I use creams or emulsions that don't suit the season or clog my pores, I end up with one or two big pimples or a sudden outbreak of tiny bumps. That's why my heart always races when I have to switch emulsions (usually due to discontinuation... sigh), fearing my skin might react badly. I always scrutinize ingredients and read tons of reviews before buying, and this time I think I've made a great choice! I've been using it every morning and night for two weeks now, and I'm happy to report no blemishes at all. It's hydrating and doesn't cause any irritation after application. I'm currently only using aloe vera gel and this product, but for those with drier skin (and even oily skin types need to balance oil and moisture in winter), I'd suggest using it with an essence. By the way, I haven't tried the essence yet, but I'm planning to buy it since the ingredients and reviews look promising. Being from the same line gives me confidence. I recommend this product for those with combination-dehydrated and sensitive skin! ๐๐ I'm surprised it's not more well-known. After my previous product was discontinued, I was temporarily using Dr.G Blemish, but this is far better. The Blemish cream doesn't work well under makeup... I'm scared it might be discontinued. This product suits my sensitive skin perfectly. It even works well under makeup. - gp*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 1, 2022
I'm writing this review hoping this product never gets discontinued. I bought it after reading reviews while my skin was going through a cycle of breakouts and recovery. It turned out to be exactly the texture I was looking for, and I'm extremely satisfied. It's hydrating without being too rich, striking just the right balance. I'll likely repurchase when I run out. There are no downsides. None at all... I'm truly very satisfied with this product. I only use this product and a cream in my skincare routine. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 14, 2022
Make sure everyone knows about this!: - Light yet deeply hydrating, with an ultra-thin protective oil layer that keeps skin feeling moisturized all day. - Attention those still searching after Aveda Sensitive Emulsion was discontinued! This is very similar in feel, finish, and effectiveness, just slightly thinner in texture. (Ever seen a sad creature with blemishes from texture alone? That's me! So I never let go of a good product...) - It's about half the price of Aveda, isn't it? - While ingredients aren't everything, the safe formulation gives great peace of mind. You can actually feel your skin becoming more resilient with continued use. - I've always had to be careful with application amounts due to blemishes, but this formula is so gentle I can apply generously without worry. It absorbs quickly too. - As someone sensitive to fragrances, I'm very satisfied that it's unscented. - Despite its lightweight texture, it delivers impressive, deeply hydrating moisture. I use it year-round and I'm on my 5th bottle since last year. - In summer, this is my only skincare step. Even in winter, it's usually enough on its own. On drier days, I might add a serum and follow with a hydrating sunscreen (like Dear, Klairs Airy Sunscreen, not the kind that dries out later). - The Dr.G name might make it seem a bit pricey, - But with this level of quality, I'd bow down and use it even if it cost $50. Thank you, Dr.G! - A couple months after completing my vaccine series early this year, I developed an unbearably itchy patch on my body. (As a vaccine skeptic, I suspected it might be related since my parents experienced similar symptoms.) - The problem was, scratching caused mosquito bite-like welts that bled and wouldn't stop itching. - One day, I absent-mindedly applied leftover product from my face routine to the itchy area after showering. I continued this habit, and after about a week, - The constantly inflamed area stopped itching and gradually faded to a brown discoloration. - I had scratched so intensely that the discoloration took another 2-3 weeks to fade, but my skin eventually returned to normal. - When I experienced similar symptoms again, I immediately applied this product. It started improving after a week, and now my skin is clear again. - My mom's chest was also terribly scratched up, looking almost diseased. I gave her my bottle and she saw the same results, so I'm ordering her a new one. - While the cause and effect might just be my theory, if I ever experience these symptoms again, I'll use this emulsion and I'm confident it will help! - fl*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJan 21, 2022
+ Purchased with my own money! A true staple! Repurchase review (02.09.22) I'm leaving an additional review to promote this to Hwahae users because I'm afraid Dr.G might discontinue it! I sincerely hope it sells even better so it doesn't get discontinued - it's a skincare essential๐ I've tried almost all of Dr.G's main Blemish line (green), but this sky blue line is the real deal!!!!! >>> The No.3 toner in the first attached photo ended up being too oily, so I stopped using it midway; I have combination sensitive skin prone to milia, so when I use toner+emulsion sets from the same line of any brand, they're either too light or cause blemishes due to over-nourishment, so I don't usually buy sets...! But Dr.G's Hydra Aqua skin+emulsion combo moisturizes deeply without feeling heavy! By adjusting the amount of each, it's a perfect oil-moisture balance combo for year-round use! ! ! ! ! I have no affiliation with Dr.G, but I'm rambling on purely because I hope this line becomes more well-known so it's easily available offline and doesn't get discontinued! โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ (Based on sensitive+combination skin that reacts with milia on the forehead when the oil-moisture balance is off!) I used to love Dr.G's Blemish line toner+emulsion, but switched as the seasons changed and I felt dryness. The new No.3 toner pairs great with my skincare routine, and I'm very satisfied!!! It's more hydrating than the Blemish line and doesn't cause much oiliness in the T-zone, so I'll likely keep repurchasing it as a daily essential.๐ The skin+emulsion combo in this line is so good, but why does Dr.G only give out random samples for online purchases...? Please offer Hydra Aqua Comforting line samples!!! Good things should be shared widely. (+The packaging design is much prettier than the Blemish line๐) It's such a shame that people don't seem to know about it much despite its effectiveness. Nothing really. It's a solid product with reasonable quality at an affordable price! After balancing oil and moisture with the emulsion, make sure to seal in the hydration with a cream that suits you... (In the dead of winter, your skin will feel tight if you finish with just the emulsion step.)
