Over time, the fragrance develops into something more akin to a soapy smell, with a slightly bitter undertone, so it's not overly sweet or baby-like, but rather a heavier, soapy scent.
ConsI tried a Diptyque product for the first time, and I think it's good for a man to wear, without any real downsides.

The fragrance is not as heavy as expected, it's powdery but has a refreshing sensation.
ConsThose who don't like unisex scents may not like it much.

But then it quickly becomes spicy, soon softening into a musky floral woody note As the trail progresses, the fragrance becomes more and more alluring🤍 Excellent in terms of both projection and longevity
ConsThe price...? And these days, Diptyque itself is becoming more common, no longer feeling as niche
TipSuitable for all seasons except summer! A must-have for the wardrobe,,🤍

At first, I just heard the name and tried a floral woody fragrance, and then tried Orphéon, but I put it in my bag. As soon as I opened the bag, a really nice smell came out, and I knew this was it. This is the scent I was looking for. The floral notes are there, followed by woody notes, and finally a powdery note that is not uncomfortable but has a slightly cool yet warm feeling, and the woody powdery scent lingers, making me want to keep sniffing it. This is exactly the scent I was searching for. But I didn't know the name, so as soon as I went back to try it again, I found it immediately. It reminds me of a stylish woman with dark hair wearing monochrome clothes. As someone who loves perfumes, this is my winter best. It's similar to Fleur de Peau, but Orphéon is much better.
ConsThe popularity made it difficult to purchase, and the high price was the biggest issue.

I really love it!! It's so great! The scent is powdery, like musk.
ConsThe fragrance is a bit heavy and would be better suited for winter. It has a more unisex aroma, so those who prefer more feminine scents may not like it.

However, when I tried it myself, the cedarwood note seemed to be more prominent than the juniper berry. There is also a slightly peppery scent (I looked up what tonka bean is, and it seems to have a sweet tobacco-like aroma, so I think it might be the tonka bean). It seems to be a rather unique fragrance. Overall, the vibe is a bit more woody and powdery than citrusy. That's why, even though I bought it in the summer, I think it suits autumn and especially winter better. It would be perfect to spray on when wearing a wool coat.
ConsThe fragrance seems to be slightly different from what I initially smelled. I wonder what was mixed in with it back then. I wish the juniper berry note was stronger.

The juniper berry note in the top note leaves a slightly sweet aroma, and the floral+powdery scent that gently rises in the dry down reminds me of a fabric softener scent that is not overpowering. While it doesn't feel particularly special for a 60th anniversary fragrance, compared to Puffin's peppery smell that felt a bit sharp, I was able to use Orpheon more comfortably. Personally, I think it suits women better, but it could be attractive on men with a delicate demeanor. I've been spraying it on blotting paper and keeping it in a pen holder, and I'm really enjoying the cozy, subtle scent wafting through the room.
ConsI agree with the review that it has a cosmetic-like feel.

(Many people say it's similar to Floral, but it's not that similar. There's no peppery note. It's just that both have a powdery quality, so that's why it may feel similar. The only thing they share is the cozy dry down.) Contrary to its name, it's not heavy or strong at all. Instead, it dissipates fairly quickly compared to other EDPs. It suits both men and women well. I'd recommend this to those who enjoy a moderate scent. Personally, this is my favorite from Diptyque. (I prefer a cosmetic-like scent rather than an overpowering woody or natural vibe.) It has a balance of natural and cosmetic-like notes (with a slight vetiver feel), like the first-floor scent at Baekhwa Point. I've also seen reviews saying it has a masculine skin-like scent, which to me is similar to the feminine yet slightly masculine skin scent I've experienced with Chanel Coco Noir or Yves Saint Laurent Libre. It's not an overtly masculine skin scent, but rather a neutral, skin-like aroma. I like it. The versatility is both a strength and a weakness. It's so well-balanced that it's hard to find a similar scent.
ConsThe natural woody and floral notes are definitely more prominent compared to other perfume brands like Chanel or Dior, but compared to other Diptyque fragrances, this one leans a bit more towards the cosmetic-like scent. If you don't like the cosmetic/skin-like aroma, I'd recommend you sample it first before purchasing.
TipThe powdery dry down with a cozy, lingering scent is quite noticeable. The initial woody-citrus top notes that you spray on your clothes tend to last a while.
