I've used about a third of it. I originally used the Numbers 1 toner, but I was so frustrated with my skin flaring up and not recovering right before my period, so I bought this. I'm using it with the Sidmool Houttuynia Cordata soap, and they work amazingly well together. First off, the good point is that if I have a pimple that looks like it's about to become a big one, I just soak a cotton pad with this toner and leave it on overnight, and by the next day, it's significantly reduced. Also, when I feel like I'm about to get blemishes on my chest or back, I wash with the Houttuynia Cordata soap and use this as an exfoliating toner - it works like magic! The smell... After using this, my room smells like herbal medicine or herbs. I'm continuing to use it, thinking that if it smells like this, it can't be bad for my skin... - db*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedOct 13, 2024
I've seen significant improvements in skin soothing after using this. It's excellent as a first step after cleansing for calming the skin. Personally, I'm not too concerned about fragrance, but it does have a distinct houttuynia cordata scent. I found it a bit messy to dispense, so I transferred it to an empty spray bottle. I'm very satisfied with its soothing effects when used as a mist. - yu*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 1, 2023
This product is incredibly lightweight. While it's supposed to be good for soothing, I can't really tell. It feels like pure water on the skin. It's meant to calm the skin, but I'm not sure about that either. The houttuynia cordata doesn't seem to help or harm my skin at all. It falls short in providing hydration. I'm not sure if it really helps with blemishes. I used it more for deep dryness rather than blemishes. After cleansing, if you apply toner immediately, it doesn't absorb well. But if you pat on this houttuynia cordata ampoule first and then apply toner, it helps the absorption of other skincare products that follow. - re*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 13, 2022
Great product for blemish-prone skin - I ordered this product after hearing that the houttuynia cordata ingredient is beneficial for improving blemishes and inflammation. It definitely seems to have a calming effect when my skin becomes sensitive and prone to blemishes, especially during my menstrual cycle. When my skin is acting up, I soak a cotton pad generously and apply it like a mask. Since it has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which are said to be good for acne, I use it liberally during those times. For oily skin, it feels like it regulates sebum production. There's a noticeable reduction in shininess, and it gives a sense of purifying and toning the pores. I've learned that the houttuynia cordata ingredient helps control excess sebum production. That's why those with dry skin might find it lacking in hydration. However, for combination and oily skin types, it feels like it balances oil and moisture well, making it a product I reach for often. When my usual skincare routine seems to be causing blemishes or my skin feels off-balance and prone to acne, I use this houttuynia cordata toner more frequently, thinking of it as a 'reset' for my skin. Since it's 99% natural ingredients, it might have a slightly fishy scent. That's what 'houttuynia cordata' means, after all. However, I'm using this product well! Those with super sensitive skin might find it irritating. Some might feel the hydration is slightly lacking, so for dry skin, I recommend mixing it with other products. It works great as a spot treatment! Soak a cotton pad generously and apply it like a mask on troubled areas. - hj*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 27, 2022
Skin type: Previously combination dehydrated, now dry Purchased from: Sidmool official website Bought: Houttuynia Cordata Ampoule Toner, Essence, and Pack Purpose: Treating folliculitis Recently, I noticed blemishes appearing under my cheeks and on my jaw. A couple also popped up on my neck. Even with proper cleansing and care, it seemed to be spreading. While researching acne management on YouTube, I realized these blemishes might actually be folliculitis, not acne. Knowing Houttuynia Cordata is good for folliculitis, I tried a Sidmool Houttuynia Cordata pack I had at home, and my skin improved dramatically the next day. This led me to purchase the Houttuynia Cordata ampoule, essence, and pack from Sidmool. 1. Not sticky at all. 2. Doesn't leave any residue on the skin. 3. Improves skin texture. 4. Contains 99% Houttuynia Cordata extract Back in college, when I struggled with cystic acne, Sidmool's 'Bee Therapy Mist' was a game-changer. I've continued to buy it occasionally as a toner substitute. Of course, my skin has improved a lot since then, so I don't notice as dramatic an effect anymore. Now, I'm using this Houttuynia Cordata toner as a substitute for my regular toner, and it's amazing. Not only has it improved my skin texture, but all the blemishes have subsided, leaving only some redness. I'll definitely keep using this Houttuynia Cordata toner from now on. Will repurchase: Absolutely There aren't any real downsides, but those sensitive to scents might find the Houttuynia Cordata extract smell a bit unfamiliar When you buy from the Sidmool official website, there's an option to include a spray nozzle, so you can use it as a mist too. I'm using both the toner and essence together, and they're truly fantastic. - nr******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 25, 2022
I chose this product primarily because of its high concentration of houttuynia cordata extract. Although it's a toner and flows easily, it feels gentle and leaves my skin hydrated right after application. I use it as a toner in the morning and as a skin pack in the evening, and I love how it seems to calm my skin. When used as a skin pack, it tends to run out quickly, so I wish it were a bit more affordable. After using it as a skin pack for about 5-10 minutes, I apply the Sidmool Houttuynia Cordata Essence followed by other skincare products, and I find that my skin doesn't lack hydration. While houttuynia cordata works well for me, I think it's important to check if this ingredient suits your skin before using it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 28, 2021
I've been using the Sidmool Houttuynia Cordata line because I heard it's great for strengthening the skin barrier and soothing. This toner feels like concentrated Houttuynia Cordata water. It's wonderful to apply whenever my skin feels dry. The distinctive scent of Houttuynia Cordata is quite strong, so those who dislike it might not enjoy this product. It's like... the aroma of nature, I suppose? If Houttuynia Cordata works well for you, try using this with other products from Sidmool's Houttuynia Cordata line. - du*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 8, 2021
I've been searching for a toner with only houttuynia cordata extract, without any natural oils. When Sidmool released this, I bought it right away! As expected, it suits my skin that loves houttuynia cordata perfectly. I love that it's lightweight and water-based, so I can even use it as a mask. Other brands' products with oils and other ingredients often gave me blemishes, but this one has such simple ingredients - I'm really impressed. Please don't discontinue this product! As houttuynia cordata works well for my skin, I have no complaints. I'm extremely satisfied! After using it as an exfoliating toner, make sure to follow up with a hydrating moisturizer!
