I've been using it daily! At first, when I tried to rub it in, it just seemed to whiten my skin, but when I started patting it in, it absorbed quickly. I've been using it for about a month and a half, and I'm not sure if it's just my imagination, but I feel like my complexion has brightened. Overall, my skin texture seems to have improved!
ConsGiven that it's a bit on the rich side, I think those with oily skin might prefer using it in winter rather than summer.
TipI intentionally kept it in the fridge during summer and used it cool, which was really nice. All my friends who visited asked about this cream in my fridge... haha! When I finish it, I plan to clean out the container, fill it with coffee grounds, and keep it in the fridge.

My skin is quite sensitive, and I break out easily if the ingredients don't suit me! •Brightening Effect• I haven't been using this product for long, so it's difficult to comment on its brightening capabilities. I'll update my review after I've finished the entire jar! •Hydration• Personally, I found the hydration to be decent. Due to the recent humid weather, I'm not sure if I mistook the rich texture for hydration. Nevertheless, I felt it provided satisfactory moisture as a cream! •Texture• When I first opened the product, it looked thick. However, upon application, I found it spread easily with a smooth texture. It applies nicely with a soft, moisturizing feel. •Scent• I believe fragrance is crucial in skincare. This product's scent might be divisive. To me, it smelled slightly like detergent. But I didn't mind it! I thought this level of fragrance was pleasant. •Skin Soothing• With the recent hot weather and strong UV rays, our skin is under constant attack. Perhaps because my skin felt so stressed, I found this quite soothing. It's hard to pinpoint whether it was due to my toner, serum, or this product. Still, after using this, my skin felt more calmed!
Cons•Packaging• Initially, the visual appeal was certainly eye-catching. However, I personally find it lacking in practicality. From a hygiene and convenience standpoint, I prefer tube packaging. •Oil Content• The rich texture is hard to avoid in creams. At first, it felt moisturizing, but after a while, it seemed like all that moisture turned into oil. I'd recommend applying a thin layer rather than using too much. •Ingredients• Most ingredients were good, but there are two potential allergens at the end of the list. They seem to be used as fragrances. Being at the end of the list, they're probably harmless, but since I've been using only products without cautionary or allergenic ingredients lately, even one such ingredient makes me a bit wary! •Price• Well... I thought it was a bit pricey, but if the effects are definite and excellent, I think it's worth buying at full price!
TipRather than using it as a regular emulsion or cream, it might be best to apply a small amount evenly on your face before bed after your evening cleanse. After all, it's a functional skincare product for brightening, so let's look forward to those effects!

I'm writing this on the last day of the review period to give the product a thorough try and observe its effects on my skin. Feeling a bit shy knowing others will read this... haha! Let me start by sharing my skin condition and routine. Up until 10th grade, I was always complimented on my skin. But as I entered 11th and 12th grade, hormones and stress triggered a massive acne outbreak. For a year and a half, my acne would subside and flare up repeatedly. Recently, it had calmed down leaving only some marks, but suddenly I experienced a 'welcome back party' of tiny bumps all over my face. With the semester starting soon and an important appointment coming up, I would normally have gone for an extraction at the dermatologist. But lacking time, I used 11 cotton swabs to squeeze them all out myself. Right after that, I received this cream. Now, let me tell you about my routine with this cream. On days without going out: Same for day and night On days I went out: Night routine After cleansing, I occasionally use a sheet mask or a clay mask (I recently tried a clay mask for the first time and plan to review it after a few more weeks of use). Otherwise, I apply a generous amount of mist (not the fine spray type, but one that forms visible droplets if over-applied), then use toner to refine skin texture and provide basic hydration. Then I immediately apply this cream. On days I go out: Daytime routine After cleansing, I use mist and toner for skin refinement and basic hydration, occasionally a sheet mask, hydrating serum, and a light moisturizer (cream usage varies daily), followed by makeup application. Here's why I used this routine and the pros and cons: ✔ Hydration The hydrating power is quite good! I have combination dehydrated skin, but to properly test the cream's effects, I applied it right after toner. It provided sufficient basic hydration. However, I felt it was more rich than hydrating! ✔ Soothing effect The skin-soothing effect was better than expected! Since I did the extraction at home, it wasn't perfect, and some spots were resurfacing. But after using this cream, no new spots appeared. Of course, when I woke up too late and missed my cleansing time, one or two would pop up... hehe. ✔ Brightening effect It seemed to lighten scars and even out my skin tone. Due to acne marks, my skin tone was uneven, but it became more uniform - not exactly brightening, but more like evening out the skin tone. The boundaries of patchy areas caused by acne scars became less noticeable, resulting in a more refined complexion! Considering I've only used it for a few weeks, the results are really noticeable! I think the skin tone evening effect was even more impressive than the soothing effect!! Personally, I think this brightening effect alone makes it worth buying and using. I'm considering purchasing another one for winter use once I finish this one.
Cons✔ Insufficient absorption It doesn't fully absorb, leaving a noticeable layer on the skin. Due to this incomplete absorption, there's a heavy feeling from the residue left on the face. This made me hesitant to use it on days when I needed to go out or wear makeup. ✔ Rich texture As time passes after application, the excess cream on the surface turns into an oily layer covering the entire face. I tend to strongly dislike oily textures, so this was a bit much for me... hehe. For this reason alone, I definitely couldn't use it when going out. It felt particularly unsuitable for summer outings... Of course, some might argue that summer is better than winter for hydration, but as someone who absolutely hates oily feelings in summer, I think it's more suitable for winter! It really depends on what you prioritize! I think it's best to use it according to your personal preferences. ✔ Regular price purchase The price point isn't exactly what I'd call affordable... Considering its limited usability for going out, the price seems a bit high, but... When I think about its soothing and brightening effects, it does seem worth the price. I might need to look out for sales or consider purchasing from social commerce sites!
Tip✔ Since it has more of a rich texture than a hydrating one, and focuses more on brightening and functional effects rather than basic hydration, I recommend using it in your evening skincare routine! ✔ Personally, I found the rich texture and heavy feeling a bit burdensome, so I think it's better suited for winter than summer! The weight felt just right for winter use! ✔ I really love the spatula that comes with it! I'll probably keep using the spatula even after I finish the cream, haha! ✔ When applying, I noticed it doesn't absorb well if you use it like a regular moisturizer. For those who, like me, don't use any products between toner and cream, try spreading a thin layer and then gently patting and massaging it in with three fingers. You're not adding more cream, but helping the initial amount absorb! The basic hydration is quite good, so there's no need to increase the amount! Plus, if you just increase the amount without proper absorption, it'll just sit on top of your skin without sinking in. ❗Those who apply serum, essence, or emulsion before the cream shouldn't use this method, you know?❗ It'll disrupt the previous layers... This tip is only for those who apply the cream right after toner!

Design One of the biggest strengths of this product, in my opinion, is its design. I absolutely love the simple yet unique Haruharu logo that perfectly matches the mini tumbler shape. It's a skincare product that could easily double as a chic interior decoration piece. 2. Volume At first, I thought it was a bit small when compared to a computer mouse, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much product it actually contains. Using a spatula to apply it generously morning and night, I think it could easily last for two months. 3. Brightening effect After applying and letting it absorb, there seems to be a temporary brightening effect, possibly due to the glow it imparts. With long-term use, I think we can expect to see a noticeable improvement in complexion.
Cons1. Ingredients It's a bit disappointing that there are some potential allergens in the formula. However, I haven't experienced any allergic reactions in the week I've been using it, which is reassuring. Those with super sensitive skin should carefully consider this before making a purchase. 2. Texture and absorption It feels greasy and doesn't absorb well. I often wake up to find my hair stuck to my face after applying it before bed.

With consistent use, I felt like it had a brightening effect too! Plus, the amount you get is generous, and a little goes a long way. I didn't even need to scoop out a lot - just a small dab was enough to cover my cheeks and chin. You'll be able to use this for a long time!
ConsWell, the scent... it reminds me of that liquid slime they used to sell in stationery shops when I was a kid. It's not exactly a pleasant fragrance, unfortunately. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I found this cream focuses more on adding richness rather than hydration. It seems better suited for those with dry skin! For me, adding more richness to my already oily skin led to increased sebum production and a few blemishes. I only used it for about 4 days before stopping.
TipDue to its rich texture, it's better suited as a night cream rather than for morning use! The consistency is quite fluid, so you don't need to layer many other skincare products with it.

It has a whitening effect! After using this whitening-focused cream for about a week, my face definitely became brighter. It's not a dramatic change, but more of a radiant glow? With consistent use, I think it will continue to brighten the skin! 2. A cream that even those with sensitive skin seeking whitening effects can use with confidence! I usually use vitamin C for brightening, but it can sting due to its acidity. So I don't recommend vitamin C for sensitive skin types. However, this product doesn't sting and contains gentle ingredients, making it perfect for those with sensitive skin looking for brightening effects. 3. The packaging design is absolutely gorgeous! To be honest, I fell in love with this product at first sight because of its packaging. It's that beautiful and unique! The design is simple yet somehow mysterious, so I'm very satisfied with its aesthetics. 4. The texture is pretty good too! It's an apricot-colored cream that applies transparently. When you pat it in with your hands, it absorbs well. It does have a slightly rich feel to it though. 5. It doesn't cause blemishes! I didn't experience any breakouts while using this product. However, it didn't clear up existing blemishes either.
Cons1. For my combination skin, the hydration is slightly lacking. The hydration wasn't quite enough for me. I have combination skin that's prone to occasional acne. Right after application it feels fine, but about an hour later, I feel like it needs more moisture, so I often followed up with jojoba oil. Also, because it's slightly rich, it might feel heavy for those with very oily skin!
TipI highly recommend this for those with super sensitive skin. For dry, very dry, or combination skin types, I recommend it too, but suggest finishing with a moisturizing oil for best results. Highly recommended for those with sensitive skin!

My skin would occasionally lighten, only to darken again... That aspect was quite disappointing. It's very rich in oils... I have combination skin that leans more towards oily. When I applied it before makeup for school, my entire look had broken down by the end of the day... The scent was generally okay, but it might be polarizing for some people.

TipIt comes with a spatula, which makes application convenient.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsThis is a review from The Hwahae Testers Skin type: Combination skin (oily T-zone) + blemish-prone (more whiteheads and blackheads than pustules, resulting in many small bumps) Texture: It has a thin emulsion-like consistency, but when applied, it turns white and feels slightly thicker than it looks. The whitening effect is temporary, and it absorbs transparently. Scent: Refreshing. Personally, I love it! Skincare routine: AHA+BHA toner for skin prep (twice a week) or Mamonde Chamomile toner > Aloe gel > Haru Haru cream, in that order. Post-application feel: It has a firm, elastic finish. Those with oily T-zones might appreciate this texture. However, perhaps due to the summer weather, it felt a bit rich for me (I thought it might be due to the aloe gel, but it still felt oily even without it). So, I apply it very sparingly. Brightening effect: Well... haha! Given the short period of use, the effects are minimal.
ConsAfter application, I had a strong feeling that my skin was clogged. While I liked the firm finish, as time passed, my already oily T-zone became excessively shiny. This actually led to breakouts in my T-zone... Usually, even though I produce a lot of sebum and my pores get easily clogged, I don't often get major blemishes. However, when using this cream, I immediately developed acne in my T-zone. At first, small blemishes appeared here and there, but they seemed to worsen the more I applied it, so I stopped using it on my face.
TipI now use it on my body instead.

(Current skin condition: Hormonal blemishes, one picked and bleeding.) Even during my most sensitive time of the month, this cream caused no irritation or stinging on broken skin. It's like the perfect 'neutral' moisturizer. The balance of oil and hydration is spot-on! It might be a bit light for dry skin and a touch rich for oily skin, but it's perfect for combination types (highly recommended for oily skin in summer - it'll feel so fresh!). I'm thrilled with it. After using it overnight, there was no excess oiliness, and yet... it's as if I applied nothing at all - my skin texture remained the same. I've never found a truly 'neutral' cream before, nor have I been this satisfied with a product. How can I express this joy? Glycerin is the second ingredient... While skincare is usually just a pre-makeup step for me, this cream excels at that role too. I won't expect any brightening effects since that's not really what cosmetics are for, but I'll definitely use this during seasonal changes when my skin needs extra care. Thank you for introducing such a great product!
Cons(Finally found a downside after extended use) For me, skincare is usually just about adding moisture before makeup, so my routine is simple: cleanse, cream, foundation. However, when I tried layering this with a new ampoule I bought, absorption became slower. It took about 5 minutes of massaging to fully absorb, and before that, it left a white cast that made me wonder what was going on. But when used with other products, it actually increases the rich feeling, which I like.
