It adheres well and lasts a long time. I love that it doesn't dry out my skin. It has a slight grayish tint. Personally, I didn't find it too bothersome. The product has excellent staying power and provides long-lasting coverage without causing dryness. While there is a subtle gray undertone, it wasn't significant enough to be a major issue for me. The formula seems to strike a good balance between coverage and comfort on the skin. - 95******Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 25, 2025
I tried this because it's famous for mixing well with Double Wear. Honestly, it's great for skin appearance, longevity, and doesn't darken. The color is pretty good for a BB cream. It's not too brightening and does a nice job of covering skin imperfections! Unfortunately, it doesn't suit my skin. About an hour after applying, my skin starts to itch, and I get red, stinging blemishes. To make matters worse, it doesn't even oxidize. I've been searching for a new BB cream since Centellian24 Madeca BB was discontinued, and this is really disappointing. As someone with super sensitive skin, I was hopeful this would work for me. While it has great coverage and a natural finish, those with easily irritated skin should patch test first. The formula seems to work wonders for many, offering a good balance of oil and moisture, but it may cause reactions for others. If you're looking for a BB cream that evens skin tone and covers imperfections without being too brightening, this could be worth trying - just be cautious if you have sensitive skin. - an*******Combination SkinRecommendedApr 10, 2025
I've known this cosmetics brand for a long time. I used to use another BB cream from this brand, and I used it for a long time with great satisfaction. This new BB cream also has good coverage, but it doesn't feel too thick, which suits my preferences perfectly. The scent is very strong, and you can smell it intensely after applying the BB cream. The smell dissipates after about an hour, but it wasn't suitable for me. - th*****************Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 5, 2025
This is a tried-and-true product that I've been using since the grandma(...)cosmetic design days, even before the package was renewed. I don't really like doing base or color makeup, so unless it's a really important day, I don't wear much makeup. But this product is like putting on sunscreen - I can just do my basic skincare and use this as the last step anytime. If Missha were to discontinue this and the purple ampoule, I would confidently go to the Able C&C headquarters and stage a one-person protest by lying down in front of it. (My skin type tends to be combination, sometimes oily and sometimes dry. Please take this into account when reviewing the product.) 1. Packaging & Texture: The packaging is a pump-type container with a subtle brown gradient. To be honest, even now it has a bit of a traditional Korean medicine cosmetic design, but before the renewal, it was undeniably an old lady(...)cosmetic design. If you're curious, you can search for the pre-renewal packaging design on Hwahae. When you pump out the product, a small amount of cream comes out of the dispenser. The texture is not watery, but a firm cream, so it's very easy to dispense an appropriate amount onto your hand or a brush and spread it evenly on your face.2. Spreadability & Coverage: This is the overwhelming advantage of this product. Whether you apply it with your fingers or a brush, it glides on smoothly without any residue or heaviness. Of course, you shouldn't expect a dewy, liquid foundation-like finish, as this product is formulated for combination to oily skin types, so a matte texture is to be expected. The coverage is beyond that of a BB cream, and I would say it's a tailor-made base makeup for oily skin types. I've tried various base makeup products from brands like Bé Xhâm, Touche Peau, Ohui, Laneige, and Hera, and while some of them were decent or good, none of them surpassed this Missha product. Depending on how you apply it, just one layer can cover most blemishes, pores, and redness, and if you apply a second layer, it can even cover dark circles and the like. (No need for more than two layers, and in fact, two layers are usually enough to cover any face makeup concerns.) Unless Missha starts making nonsense products or I completely change to a dry skin type, I don't see myself ever straying from this product.3. Longevity: This is the second overwhelming advantage. To put it simply, there is no breakdown of the makeup! Of course, it's not completely flawless, but any breakdown is so minimal that you'd have to get up close to a mirror to even notice it. My usual routine is to apply this Missha Cho Bo Yang BB cream over my final skincare cream and a light layer of sun protection, and then set it with the Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray before going out. With this routine, I can go over 12 hours without needing any touch-ups or corrections. And this is on my oily skin! Those with extremely oily skin may want to add a powder on top as well. 4. Gentle Formula: This is the third overwhelming advantage. As mentioned, I can wear just this BB cream in the morning without any touch-ups, and then remove it at night without experiencing any breakouts or issues. I've had experiences with other foundation products causing me to break out the next day, but I've never had that problem with this Missha product. However, this is based on my combination to oily skin type. Those with dry skin may find the matte finish to be drying, which I'll discuss in the cons section. In fact, before my military service, my skin was quite glowing and radiant, and I haven't found a better base product than this. Even now, aside from the slight transfer, I can't find any downsides to this product for me. Therefore, you can consider the first downside as common for all skin types, and the second downside as specific to dry skin. 1. Transfer: Well, some degree of transfer is inevitable in base makeup products (I've never come across a base product that claims to have zero transfer and actually lives up to that claim. If you know of such a product, please share your insights, as I would be very grateful to learn about it...). However, the transfer with this product is significantly less compared to other base products. But on days when I wear a white top, I do have to be very careful to avoid the product transferring onto the neckline. 2. Matte finish (for dry skin): The overwhelming longevity and adherence, along with the dense, cream-like texture, means that the product absorbs and even exceeds the oil content of the skin. This would work very well for combination to oily skin types, but for those with dry skin, it may lead to a feeling of dryness or accentuation of flakiness over time. For those with dry skin, Missha has some more hydrating products, and there are many options from other brands that I would recommend exploring. I pump about 1-2 times on the back of my hand, then dab it onto the T-zone, cheeks, chin, and neck with my fingers. I then spread it out evenly with a Missha brush to finish. If you also use a makeup fixer (I personally use the Urban x Key fixer) or powder, you'll have a long-lasting base that won't budge all day. This is my first review of a makeup product rather than a skincare item, and since I'm so fond of this product, I've ended up writing a lengthy review. I hope Missha doesn't discontinue this, even if they don't put it on sale often. haha - ve************Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRecommendedJan 5, 2025
After trying many BB creams, I've come back to Missha... It's so hydrating that my makeup never looks patchy, and the coverage is excellent! There's not really anything to complain about... Maybe the scent is a bit old-fashioned? Honestly, I can't find any real drawbacks. - im*********Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 11, 2024
****Check out the attached photo - it's revolutionary!***** Note: I don't use any touch-up makeup -Adherence I guarantee there's no base product in the world with better adherence than this. It was the only thing that worked when I had severe seborrheic dermatitis and my face was covered in dead skin cells. I've tried famous products like Estée Lauder foundation, Banila Co White Cushion, Espoir Pro Tailor Be Velvet, Missha Boracushion, A'Pieu Water Lock Cushion, The Face Shop Ink Lasting, and Clio Kill Cover... but nothing beats this product. Without a doubt, this product is the ultimate upgrade in terms of adherence. It doesn't budge. I mean, it really doesn't budge. Even if you rush through your skincare routine, just quickly spritz on some toner, and slap this on in 15 seconds like you're washing your face, it still won't budge. -Longevity It doesn't budge. I'm serious, it doesn't budge. I once worked a summer catering job in nearly 40°C heat, wearing a mask due to COVID, doing heavy lifting for 5 hours. When I looked in the mirror, it hadn't budged. If anything, my skin looked glowy and beautiful. -Coverage for sebum, pores, scars, and dead skin cells This product not only covers blemishes, redness, and spots, but also provides amazing three-dimensional coverage. Worried about nose pores? Apply this, and they disappear. It's incredible. Seriously, if pores bother you, use this. It makes existing pores vanish and covers everything. On days I wear this, my friends all say my skin looks better. It smooths out dead skin cells and gives you that 'peeled egg' look. -Redness coverage This product specializes in covering redness. Being a BB cream, it has a slight grayish tint compared to foundation, which is unavoidable, but this aspect is amazing for those with redness. It truly covers beautifully, giving you that flawless 'peeled egg' look. -Color It's too dark for my #17 skin tone. My friends always tell me my neck looks much whiter, haha! But you know what? It's fine. So what if it's a bit dark? It covers pores and texture perfectly and gives an amazing skin finish..... That's why I've used 10 tubes and will continue using it. -Even if you rush through your skincare routine, it won't budge. It just won't budge. If this product emphasizes your pores or dead skin cells? Don't bother with cosmetics, head straight to a dermatologist. That level of skin issues needs immediate medical attention. =This product covers even severe seborrheic dermatitis like mine. I'm not exaggerating at all - I've been using this product for 8 years, over 10 tubes. It's my holy grail, and if Missha discontinues it, I'll protest. - su*****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 3, 2024
I've been using this BB cream for over 4 months now and I'm loving it! If you find shade 21 too light and 23 too dark for your complexion, I highly recommend this one. It's a perfect match for my skin tone. As someone with super sensitive skin, I'm happy to report no blemishes and it works great for me. The pump dispenser is hygienic and convenient. It does an excellent job covering pores and provides good coverage overall. There's not much to complain about. I just hope this product doesn't get discontinued! It absorbs much better when applied with a puff rather than your fingers. - uu******Dry SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedOct 10, 2024
It pairs well with any foundation! Great coverage too. Apart from the slightly ashy tone, I haven't noticed any major drawbacks yet. - 52****Dehydrated SkinEnlarged PoresSep 24, 2024
It provides great coverage, so you can use a small amount for your entire face. The texture is quite thick, making it difficult to apply with fingers and prone to pilling. As for staying power, you'll need to touch up areas that lift throughout the day. - wo*********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 18, 2024
Calling all oily skin types with peach fuzz and visible pores - this one's for you! This is my holy grail base product. I use it year-round without fail! I have oily skin, so I used to use Neo Cushion, but for some reason, it made my skin look cakey, and as time passed, it accentuated my skin texture. Eventually, I just stopped reaching for it. While I haven't tried every base product on the market, I can confidently say that my skin is notoriously picky when it comes to finding a suitable base. This product is the only one that adheres perfectly to my skin, making it look smooth and flawless! 1. Perfect shade match for 22 Many base products these days have 23 looking like 21, and 21 looking like 17. But Chobo Yang BB comes in shade 22, which is perfect for those of us with in-between skin tones. It's like finding your MLBB (My Lips But Better) shade for your face - it looks like your skin, but better. 2. Excellent adherence I apply it with my fingers, and it really sticks to the skin. The formula isn't too oily, so it adheres without any greasiness. It even fills in pores seamlessly. 3. Tool-friendly It applies well with both fingers and puffs. This is truly a product I'll use for life. 4. Great coverage It covers pores, uneven texture, and redness effectively. I prefer a natural look and dislike heavy makeup, so I don't use concealer. Even with a thin layer applied by hand, it provides satisfactory coverage. There are no downsides. Some reviews mention a grayish cast, but in my experience, it wears off more beautifully than other cushions I've used before. Try mixing it with Hiya Ectoin Emulsion - they work wonderfully together!
