According to a dermatologist's YouTube video, to effectively remove blackheads, they recommended using a product containing salicylic acid along with retinol, which helps tighten pores. Driven by my desire to get rid of blackheads, I opted for the 1% retinol version instead of the 0.5%, even though it was more expensive. I purchased it to use alongside the salicylic acid-based skin product and niacinamide ampoule. I deliberated a lot over whether to get a booster, but ultimately decided on the treatment serum since it can be used on its own.
Cons
They said an adjustment period is required, and that after using it 3 times a week and seeing improvement, I could then use it daily. But I couldn't endure the adjustment period.
