As someone with fine, brittle, and color-damaged hair, plus a sensitive scalp, I'm usually quite picky about shampoos. Poor choices can wreak havoc from my scalp to my hair ends. That's why I was cautious but intrigued when I decided to try the Graymatics Cuticle Shampoo based on recommendations. Let me tell you, the gentleness of this product is its standout feature! The lather is soft and abundant, and the fragrance is incredibly mild, making the whole shampooing experience a pleasure. What's even better is that after rinsing, my hair doesn't feel stiff at all. Instead, it's left soft with a subtle, lingering scent that's just delightful! While I've only used it a few times so far and would need to use it longer to see more significant differences, I'm absolutely thrilled with it at the moment. In the short time I've been using it, I honestly can't think of any downsides! Here's a tip: Instead of rinsing immediately, try leaving the shampoo on for 2-3 minutes while you wash your face or brush your teeth. It leaves your scalp feeling extra refreshed compared to rinsing right away. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJul 8, 2023
First off, I absolutely adore the scent - it's totally my style. It reminds me of that special event bath at the local bathhouse, with a hint of green tea, but imagine that aroma enveloped in the steamy atmosphere of a sauna. It lathers up beautifully, but the real magic happens after rinsing. My hair feels incredibly silky, even without conditioner! That's a big deal for me since I've had my hair chemically treated and colored, which usually leaves it in poor condition. I used to rely on treatments, but with this shampoo, I often forget to use one because my hair feels so manageable. It's only when I'm drying my hair that I realize, 'Oh, I didn't use a treatment!' That's what I love most about it. Don't get me wrong - it's not like it's coating my hair with anything. There's no cooling sensation, so you won't feel that 'ah, refreshing!' moment, but it also doesn't make my scalp itchy or feel heavy at all. Highly recommended! The downside? Well, it's the price... unfortunately. It's a struggle, really. The shampoo is fantastic, but my wallet is crying. That's just how it is. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 7, 2023
Even after just one use, my hair felt silky smooth as if it had been coated. After shampooing, my scalp didn't feel dry, and my hair seemed to have a natural shine. The shampoo lathers up nicely, and while it's not specifically for hair loss prevention, I noticed less hair fall. Perhaps due to the amino acid ingredients, my hair feels stronger, and there's a refreshing, scalp-tingling sensation after washing. After using it for about a week, my hair feels healthier, with a beautiful bounce and shine - as if I'd just had a professional treatment. The fragrance might be a bit polarizing. Personally, it wasn't my preferred shampoo scent, but the lingering aroma after rinsing was quite pleasant. The higher price point might make some hesitate before purchasing. With the Cuticle Doctor Shampoo alone, your hair becomes so glossy that you might not need to use a treatment every day. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 7, 2023
First off, I have long hair and an oily scalp! The lather was rich and felt gentle on my hair. When I rinsed, there was a slightly oily finish, which felt quite different from my usual shampoo. It was a bit strange at first, but surprisingly, my hair became fluffy after drying! (I usually use shampoos that leave my hair squeaky clean.) With this shampoo, my hair felt more bouncy, and there was noticeably less tangling, which I loved! I'll need to use it longer to see any effects on hair loss. The scent is like a typical shampoo, perhaps on the stronger side, and it lingers for quite a while. When I first used it, I felt a slight itching sensation, but it subsided after a few days of use. However, personally, I wasn't a fan of the fragrance. I think a more natural scent would be nice. Also, the finish might be a bit heavy for those with oily scalps, so it might be better suited for winter rather than summer use. For those with oily scalps, I'd recommend using this during the dry autumn or winter months rather than in summer! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 7, 2023
The gentle formula caught my eye, especially the part about not needing conditioner or treatment. So I tried using just the shampoo alone, and it's truly impressive. After washing and rinsing, my hair feels noticeably softer and smoother. This sensation lingers even after towel-drying, giving the impression of a light oil coating. Thanks to this, even after blow-drying, my hair remains calm with a somewhat moisturized texture. I didn't apply anything else while drying - just the shampoo alone prevented my hair from feeling dry or stiff, which was both convenient and pleasant. Another memorable point is how refreshed my scalp feels. I tend to massage my scalp thoroughly while shampooing, and at one point it felt incredibly cool and refreshing. After rinsing and drying my hair, I felt a sense of cleanliness. There was no itchiness either. The main drawback would be its limited availability and somewhat high price point. It would be great if it were available for online purchase - that's a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJul 7, 2023
It lathers well even with a small amount, so the value for money seems decent. There's a slight cooling sensation on the scalp, making it great for summer use. As I have damaged hair, without treatment it usually feels like a broom right after rinsing. But with this shampoo, while not as effective as a treatment, it leaves my hair feeling a bit softer and rinses out nicely. The price is quite steep. It seems like it's only affordable when on sale. Due to the price, if you have an oily scalp like me, it might be good to use a cheaper shampoo for the first wash. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 7, 2023
📍All-in-one shampoo for maintaining perms and color-treated hair 🟠 Perfect for those with flyaway hair from frequent perms <What I loved> ✔️ Feels less drying when using, probably because it's labeled as a salon clinic shampoo ✔️ With 95% naturally-derived ingredients, it's gentle overall but still has great cleansing effectiveness ✔️ As an all-in-one shampoo, it's sufficient on its own during summer With its gentle ingredients and good cleansing power, I didn't find any downsides. I'd love to see it available in a larger size. It contains scalp care ingredients, so I leave it on for 3-4 minutes after shampooing. It feels like it's strengthening my hair roots. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinMay 12, 2020
As a guy who gets a volume perm once a month for my unruly hair, I visited the clinic and they recommended this shampoo. After using it, I noticed my hair became more manageable and the texture seemed to improve. It feels so soft now! Unfortunately, it's not even available for purchase online, and the price is incredibly steep. It's too expensive for me to consider buying.
