The scent is slightly sweet with a hint of herbs? I personally didn't dislike the fragrance at all! It was convenient as foam comes out immediately when you press it, and it didn't leave my skin feeling dry. With its gentle ingredients, I didn't experience any blemishes, and I often used it for my morning cleansing routine as well. I'm not sure if it's just mine, but the pump breaks down frequently. The foam isn't completely rich and dense, instead it collapses quickly. Because of this, it was challenging to achieve a thorough cleanse with this product alone. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 5, 2022
It produces a rich lather and leaves my skin feeling moisturized after cleansing It doesn't seem to cleanse thoroughly. I feel like some makeup residue might be left behind - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSep 13, 2021
First off, I love the product design. The harmonious blend of green and white seems to emphasize its natural ingredients. The foam is rich and fluffy, pumping out nicely. It contains ginkgo leaf extract and natural surfactants, making it gentle on the skin. Thanks to soybean ferment and elm bark extract, my skin feels moisturized without any tightness after cleansing. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and hydrated without any irritation. As someone with combination skin and an oily T-zone, it doesn't completely remove all the oil, so I don't get that super matte feeling. I think it might work better for those with dry or normal skin types. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 13, 2021
1. My skin didn't feel tight after cleansing. 2. The cleansing effectiveness is not bad. (It easily removed sun protection products and even cushion foundation.) 3. Being a bubble foam, it was convenient to use and caused no irritation. 4. After cleansing, my skin felt smooth. (Not soft and fluffy, but more like sleek and squeaky clean.) 1. The ingredients might not have agreed with me completely as my skin became slightly red. (There was no burning sensation or tingling, just redness.) 2. Personally, I found the fragrance a bit strong. (My sibling didn't mind it... but those sensitive to scents might want to think twice.) Aside from these, I didn't find any other drawbacks. Overall, I was satisfied. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinSep 10, 2021
The bubble formula is convenient as there's no need to lather separately. The foam is rich and abundant, which is great. I really appreciated how gentle it was on my skin during cleansing, causing no irritation thanks to its mild ingredients. When removing makeup, I first use cleansing water, then follow up with the Ginkgo Bubble Cleansing Foam. It leaves my skin feeling thoroughly cleansed! Plus, it's so hydrating that my skin feels moisturized even after washing. As someone with oily skin who cleanses in the morning too, I find this product perfect for AM use due to its gentleness and hydrating properties. (You know how using harsh cleansers in the morning can dry out your skin and make makeup application tricky.) The pump bottle design allows for clean and easy use, and the subtle fragrance is likely to appeal to most users. The packaging design leaves a bit to be desired. I believe that packaging can be a key factor in attracting buyers, but this one feels somewhat... dated? While it's true that nowadays people often make purchases based on ingredients and reviews, I still find the design slightly disappointing. I think this product is particularly suitable for those with oily skin as a morning cleanser. It's gentle and hydrating without being too strong, which I really appreciate. I didn't experience any blemishes while using it, nor did I feel any unusual dryness when applying makeup after morning cleansing. I plan to use it as my morning cleanser and as a second-step cleanser in my evening routine. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinSep 10, 2021
As someone with sensitive and dry skin, I always check the ingredients before purchasing a product. I tried this Ginkgo Bubble Cleansing Foam after reviewing its ingredients and applying through The Hwahae Testers program! The name 'Ginkgo Bubble Cleanser' likely comes from the ginkgo leaf extract it contains. It also features patented soybean ferment and elm bark extract, which are said to prevent deep dryness after cleansing. After using it for two weeks, I found it to be a highly satisfying product. Before this, I was using a well-known low pH cleanser, but it was a hassle to create foam by hand each time, and it slightly irritated my skin. This product, being a foam type, was much more to my liking. As it's gentle, even my cheeks, which easily turn red, didn't show much color change. After washing, instead of a squeaky clean feeling, my skin felt hydrated with a slight cooling sensation. The pump dispenses foam smoothly without requiring much force. I also love the fragrance - it makes washing my face a pleasant experience. While the foam isn't extremely rich for a pump product, I consider this a good thing - it likely means fewer chemical ingredients. I used it by pumping 2-3 times and gently massaging it on my face and neck. I used this product as a second cleanse after using a cleansing water, and it didn't leave my skin feeling too dry. However, I'm a bit concerned about its cleansing effectiveness if used alone. I believe thorough cleansing is crucial for achieving a cleaner skin surface! It might be disappointing if you're looking for a one-step cleanser. It didn't feel like it was removing deep-seated sebum. While it might be fine for those with dry skin, people with oily skin might not be satisfied. After washing, I intentionally didn't apply toner or emulsion, and surprisingly, my skin retained moisture quite well. However, I think applying serum right after cleansing would be even better. Also, this product might work better as a second cleanser if paired with a gentle first cleanser. When I used it after a strong first cleanser, it felt like it stripped more moisture. So, use it with hydrating products! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 10, 2021
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. I tried a bubble-type cleansing foam for the first time, and it's convenient because you don't need to work up a lather. While the foam isn't super dense, it feels nice to use and doesn't leave my skin feeling dry after cleansing, allowing for a hydrated finish. The soft, fluffy foam seemed gentle, so I was curious how it would perform in tests. Surprisingly, it removed eyeliner and mascara effectively. When rolling it on my face, the soft foam definitely seems less irritating to the skin. It's difficult to cleanse with just one or two pumps. The formula is a bit thin, so you need about four pumps. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 10, 2021
I usually use a lip and eye remover followed by cleansing oil, and only a small amount of cleansing foam. But for this review, I tried both methods! It's perfect to use after cleansing oil. One pump is enough! The foam is so gentle, causing no irritation to the skin - it's really great. When I first smelled it, I worried it might leave my skin feeling tight like soap, but there's no deep dryness until I start my skincare routine. When I used this alone to remove makeup, it was slightly lacking, but that's because my base makeup is quite heavy (mineral sunscreen + Double Wear, a combination that requires oil cleansing). It's great for light cleansing though! This is my first time trying a bubble type cleanser, and I think it's hygienic. The amount from one pump seems just right. To be honest, the price seems a bit steep when you look at it. It feels like a run-of-the-mill cleansing foam, which makes it seem expensive. I've found it's great for back blemishes too! I use one pump on my back at the end of my shower. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 10, 2021
1. Not drying after cleansing Unlike other products that leave my skin feeling dry right after washing, this one doesn't cause any tightness, which is great. 2. So gentle! My skin is super sensitive and usually breaks out in tiny bumps the next day if a product doesn't suit me. But with this one, my skin was smooth the following morning without any issues. 3. Surprisingly effective cleansing power I use it as a second cleanser, so I don't expect intense cleansing from gentle products. However, I was shocked when it completely removed foundation, blush, and eyeshadow from the back of my hand with just a small amount. Of course, this might just be visual cleansing! Still, I'm satisfied so far. 4. Pump dispenser Tube-type cleansers can be inconvenient to squeeze out, but I love that this one comes with a pump for easy use! I haven't found any downsides yet. I'll update after using it a bit more. +10/17 While it's truly gentle, I'm a bit disappointed with its exfoliation... In my experience, about 1.5 pumps provide enough foam for a thorough cleanse. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 10, 2021
My skin is prone to some blemishes, and while it's not extremely sensitive, it can flare up quickly if I use products that don't suit me. 1. Gentle cleansing! Since I almost always use sunscreen, I double cleanse. For the second cleanse, I often use a foam cleanser with a bubble net. From this perspective, I felt I could cleanse thoroughly without irritation! 2. No deep dryness after cleansing! Sometimes when using certain products, I experience some deep dryness, but with this product, I enjoyed a thorough cleanse without any of that discomfort! 3. Convenient packaging! The container is simply a pump-type, and the foam comes out nice and fluffy! It was very convenient and pleasant to use! Overall, I think it's a user-friendly product! Above all, I believe its greatest strengths are that it's gentle on the skin, has convenient packaging, and allows for a thorough cleanse. While it wasn't bad overall, there are a couple of aspects that might be hit-or-miss: 1. The scent feels artificial There are times when the fragrance feels a bit artificial. It's hard to describe the exact scent, but it smells like what you'd typically expect from cosmetics, which was a bit disappointing. 2. The foam tends to drip This might vary from person to person, but I found that the foam tended to run down quite easily. It felt less dense than I expected, which was slightly disappointing.
