The scent is herbal, and the foam texture is rich and delicately soft with a bouncy feel. It's like a cloud of bubbles that quickly melts into your skin. I didn't experience any blemishes, and there was absolutely no irritation. It wasn't effective for removing dead skin cells, and it might leave an oily residue on oily skin types. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 15, 2021
I used to think of Charmzone as the brand my mom used when I was young. Their cleansing massage cream was so famous, and now I'm actually tempted to try it myself given all the great reviews! That positive impression must have influenced me when I tried their bubble foam cleanser - I ended up liking it even more than I expected. Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin Pros: Unlike other brands' bubble foams I've tried before, this one feels incredibly soft and fluffy - it's like real whipped cream! The scent wasn't bad either. Right after cleansing, I could feel the hydration, and my skin didn't immediately feel dry. However, it may dry out a bit later, so make sure to spritz on some mist afterward. While I use other bubble foams too, I find myself reaching for the Charmzone one more often. I'd definitely repurchase this! It was a lifesaver during my recent trip! Is it just me, or does the packaging design look a bit outdated? I think it would look prettier if they went for a simpler design that's more in line with current trends. While I usually use bubble foam for morning cleansing, Charmzone worked well for evening double cleansing after removing makeup too! The key is to be thorough with your first cleanse. That way, the bubble foam second cleanse won't leave you feeling unsatisfied. Even though bubble foams generally have some moisturizing properties, they're still somewhat strong cleansers. So it's best to pay extra attention during the first cleanse. I found that using the gentle bubble foam was less harsh on my skin compared to regular foaming cleansers that require more rubbing. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinSep 10, 2021
This review is based on a product received as a winner of The Hwahae Testers program. 1) Fragrance: I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing the scent is! It's so good that I'm tempted to use it all over my body, not just as a cleansing foam. The fragrance is incredibly lovely - soft and subtle. 2) Cleansing effectiveness: While I'm not entirely sure about its cleansing power, it does create a wonderfully soft lather. There's a refreshing feeling right after washing, but I wouldn't say it's exceptionally effective at cleansing. However, I've included this under positives because of its gentle nature. Though it might not be the strongest cleanser, the foam is incredibly soft and mild, causing no irritation to the skin. Upon researching for this review, I found it contains very few harmful ingredients! 3) Gentle on skin: As mentioned earlier, it's incredibly mild with almost no irritation! Although I don't have sensitive skin, so I can't speak to its exact effects for that skin type, it felt extremely gentle. It seems to have helped balance oil levels for my oily skin type. If there's one downside, it might be the somewhat lacking cleansing power. However, if you're like me and don't need to remove heavy makeup, just cleansing after being out, you probably won't find this inconvenient! In fact, for such cases, the combination of soft foam and mild cleansing power provides a perfect balance of freshness and cleanliness. Highly recommended for those with super sensitive skin! It's extremely gentle! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 10, 2021
The convenience of not having to lather by hand and just pumping was great! When you're tired in the evening, eliminating even one bothersome step really makes a difference! The foam itself was dense and soft, causing no irritation to the skin. It felt very gentle! The cleansing effectiveness is a bit lacking. Usually, I use a lip and eye remover for my eyes, then cleanse the rest with cleansing water before using a cleansing foam. After cleansing, I use Stridex green pads, and when I used this product, I could see some residue coming off on the pads. After using it a few times, I now only use this product for my morning cleanse. For the evening, I think a product with stronger cleansing power would be more suitable! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 10, 2021
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers! I've written this review honestly and truthfully. Skin condition: Since wearing masks, my skin has become super sensitive with lots of blemishes popping up, resulting in plenty of pigmentation. I'm currently experiencing one pustular blemish at a time! Texture, Scent, Volume: - It's a foam-type cleanser! - Unlike some products where the bubbles quickly pop and disappear, this one stays creamy and rich on your hands for a long time. (When cleansing my face, I usually pump it 3 or more times for a luxurious lather. I feel this helps reduce irritation to the face.) - It has a pleasant, refreshing, natural scent! - Compared to other types of cleansers, foam cleansers like this seem to last longer. User Experience: - Due to long-term mask-wearing, I developed skin issues and even got prescriptions from a dermatologist. While effective, they made my skin dry and thin, so I'm now using various basic skincare products. (I'm mainly using gentle products rather than those with strong active ingredients!) - After removing makeup with a cleansing emulsion, I use this foam cleanser. I wanted something gentle, and this product, being a bubble foam, works well without irritation! - My skin usually feels tight after cleansing, but with this product, although there's still some tightness, it maintains moisture longer compared to other products! - No skin irritation, no blemish occurrence. Repurchase Intention: - 4 out of 5 stars While all other ingredients are great, it's a bit disappointing that it contains fragrance. I noticed a refreshing scent when I first tested it. Other than that, I'm using it satisfactorily! When I get a pustular blemish, I sometimes add a drop of 100% tea tree oil to this cleanser for a faster soothing effect. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 9, 2021
Skin Type: - Deep dryness, dry, super sensitive skin, with occasional blemishes Scent: - It's a very familiar fragrance, though I can't quite place where I've smelled it before. It's not likely to be polarizing. Packaging: - The pump dispenser makes it extremely convenient to use Texture and Cleansing Effectiveness: - I was pleasantly surprised by how soft the foam is - While it might not be sufficient for a deep cleanse on its own, it's perfect for a gentle daily cleanse - My skin felt unexpectedly smooth, which was a nice surprise - There was a slight feeling of tightness after use - The product itself is mild, so it didn't cause any breakouts during use There weren't any major downsides, except when I looked it up later and found it was pricier than I expected. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 9, 2021
** This product was won through The Hwahae Testers! Thank you. I used it from 9/2 to 9/9 ✔️Skin Type - Combination: oily T-zone, dry U-zone - Large pores ✔️Packaging - Clean design with a fresh, nature-inspired feel ✔️Texture - Fine bubble particles, not sticky but feels dense and full - Extremely soft ✔️Scent - A refreshing fragrance, reminiscent of both herbs and flowers - Not overwhelming ✔️Pros - Stable pump dispenser - One pump is sufficient for cleansing, but two pumps for a softer, richer experience - Three pumps are too much - Soft foam feels pleasant on the skin while cleansing - After cleansing, skin feels comfortable without extreme tightness - Even without immediate toner application, skin doesn't feel overly dry - Perfectly fulfills its role as a cleansing foam ✔️Cons - Not suitable for those seeking one-step cleansing, as double cleansing is necessary for waterproof makeup - The price is the biggest drawback - With many affordable options available and frequent discounts at drugstores, it may struggle to compete - Similar products perform comparable roles - Consider adjusting the price to 12,000-15,000 won range for better market positioning ✔️Recommendations - Ideal for morning cleansing - Perfect for those who need oil control without harsh cleansing - Suitable for people uncomfortable with water-only cleansing - The refreshing scent is great for mornings - Recommended as a second-step cleanser - Ideal for those who prefer a moisturizing, gentle cleanse without tightness or over-cleansing sensation - Used by my mother and sister with atopic skin, who found it gentle and pleasant - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 8, 2021
First off, the packaging is sleek and pretty, and the fragrance is incredibly fresh. It has a refreshing feel. You can control the amount with each pump, and it dispenses quite generously. The foam itself doesn't dissipate quickly and applies smoothly with a creamy texture. My skin type is closer to combination-oily, and what I consider important is how much irritation my skin experiences after cleansing. After washing, I waited until my skin dried, and I experienced no irritation. As for its cleansing effectiveness, as you can see in the photo below, I wrote with a Merge eyeliner and then immediately tried to remove it - it came off cleanly. Overall, I'm very satisfied. It's perfect for bare-faced cleansing or removing light makeup, but if you're wearing a full face of heavy makeup, you might need to cleanse twice. Those with combination or oily skin types can use this very lightly. However, I wouldn't recommend it for those with dry skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 3, 2021
For super sensitive skin types: I've been using this for several days now and I'm quite satisfied so far. I use it as my second cleanse after a cleansing water. While the foam isn't particularly dense, just 1-2 pumps create enough soft, fluffy lather for a thorough cleanse. Instead of leaving your skin feeling squeaky clean, it has a creamy finish, which I find more suitable for my sensitive skin. Those with oily skin might not appreciate this as much. As someone prone to redness and sensitivity, I haven't experienced any blemishes or irritation with this product. That's why I'm continuing to use it with satisfaction. I wish the foam was a bit denser. It would be nice if the container was semi-transparent so you could see how much product is left. It's disappointing not being able to gauge how much I've used. Please consider changing the packaging! Other than that, no major complaints. Personally, I'd love if it were a bit more affordable. I use this with a silicone cleansing device. Since it foams up, it's much more convenient to use with a device compared to regular cleansing foams. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 2, 2021
It's great that there are hardly any harmful ingredients. Above all, it's not irritating and so gentle that I used it comfortably without any aversion. You can cleanse your skin pleasantly without damaging it. (It's wonderful that there's no irritation for acne-prone skin like mine.) The large quantity is a plus. There's a bit of a cooling effect, which is nice. The texture is far from being thick; the foam feels incredibly creamy and soft (with a light feel). The lather seems to be just right! The instructions say to use 2-3 pumps, but I tried 4-5 pumps just in case it wouldn't clean well enough. Turns out 4-5 pumps aren't really necessary (I should use it sparingly). The pump works well, which is convenient. It seems good for a quick face wash! (This cleanser is better for double cleansing than using alone.) It's moisturizing - after washing with this, you might only need to apply a light emulsion. It could be great for those with dry skin types. (This is my personal opinion as it may vary for different people.) The scent isn't overpowering, which is nice. I like the clean design. Overall, I'm satisfied with it (it passes). (I won this in an event and have written an honest review.) There don't seem to be any particular downsides while using it. If I had to pick something, the price point seems a bit high. You might need to double cleanse when removing makeup! (This is just my personal opinion.) The lid seems a bit flimsy! When removing makeup, rather than using this alone, it might be better to first use cleansing water, cleansing gel, or oil as a first step, then follow up with this foam cleanser lightly as a second step. After cleansing, since it's moisturizing, you might not need to apply much else - just a light layer of toner or serum could be enough! (I usually use a lot of light, water-based products like serums or toners.) You probably don't need to apply too much. (This is just my personal opinion.)
