After moisturizing with the toner, I applied it and loved how hydrating and silky smooth it felt on my skin. However, after a short while, my eyes started to sting and I felt a tingling sensation. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinNov 20, 2022
I tried this as a sample. It has a slightly viscous water-like texture that's easy to apply all over your face with just a small amount! However, it stings a bit on the sensitive areas around my eyes, especially where the skin is chapped. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 12, 2021
The texture is rich and creamy, yet it absorbs well into the skin. It provides excellent hydration. The packaging is quite heavy, and the fragrance is rather strong. The intense scent can even make your eyes sting... - Hwahae UserNormal SkinApr 6, 2021
The packaging is pretty. The texture isn't sticky, but I'm not sure about its effectiveness considering the price. It's quite expensive, yet it feels irritating. The fragrance is strong, and it stings my eyes. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinMar 11, 2020
On nights when I want a light finish after toning, I apply this. The scent is quite strong, so it's definitely a love-it-or-hate-it situation. It has a grassy smell like cucumber, mixed with a floral scent reminiscent of intense flowers like freesia. While I'm not a fan of strong fragrances, this one isn't bad. The essence contains yellow particles that come out when pumping, giving it a concentrated feel. When gently applied, it melts into the skin nicely. My daughter says it looks like little yellow marimo balls! The morning after using it, my skin seems to have a renewed vitality, and this effect seems to last if I cleanse and apply my skincare routine well. I've found it's best not to use when experiencing blemishes. I like that it's not a heavy oil, more like a serum with oil content. I avoid applying this product close to my eyes as it causes a stinging sensation. The first time I applied it near my eyes, it made them tear up. This might just be my personal experience, so take it as an individual perspective. Additionally, I think it's quite expensive for the amount you get. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 4, 2019
I'm writing this review as a lucky winner from The Hwahae Testers! First off, even with a tiny amount, the hydration is absolutely phenomenal. It feels so perfectly dense and smooth, like your skin has transformed into a plump, moist, and bouncy pudding. What's more, it absorbs incredibly well. There's no residue, slipperiness, or stickiness - it just completely sinks into the skin. You don't need to pat it in forever; just a few quick taps and it's all absorbed. It doesn't just moisturize the surface; there's no deep dryness either. Usually, I need to use an exfoliating toner, another layer of toner, a watery essence, and then a cream to feel properly hydrated. But with this alone, I feel completely moisturized and supple! I have combination skin, so lately as it's getting a bit warmer, I wake up with my forehead and nose area feeling slightly oily. For a more accurate review, I tried it with my mom who has extremely dry skin (it's not an exaggeration to say she uses facial oils and rich creams year-round, regardless of the season). Mom absolutely loves it. As mentioned earlier, with just a tiny amount (one dab on each cheek), the entire face becomes supple and deeply moisturized. She says when she wakes up in the morning, her face feels plump and brighter in a way that's hard to describe. Everything is great, but the strong floral scent is a bit too intense, making my eyes slightly sting and giving me a mild headache. Also, maybe because I'm not used to using such rich and nourishing products, I feel a slight burning sensation on my skin. There's almost no feeling of the product sitting on top of the skin, but if you do experience this even after patting it in, try this: quickly rub your palms together to generate some heat, then gently press your hands against your face as if you're helping it absorb. Press once on both cheeks, and once on the forehead and around the mouth area. It should sink right in.
