You can't achieve that dewy look. It just sits on top of your skin and gets stuck in your pores.
ConsAfter using this, I had a breakout of tiny bumps and my skin became super sensitive. My face completely freaked out, with an insane amount of dead skin cells. My skin was constantly itchy and had a tingling sensation.

For someone like me who doesn't wear foundation, it's decent enough to apply before sunscreen when going out - gives a subtle glow. If I had an alternative, I probably wouldn't buy it. But why did I consider buying it again when I saw it on sale? This is exactly why I need to keep records to stay mindful.
ConsI applied this about two days after microneedling, and it stung a bit. The ingredients aren't particularly gentle, but I suppose it's unreasonable to expect a brightening moisturizer to be mild. Nothing particularly stands out. It's just something I might consider picking up at duty-free if I can't find anything else.
TipThose who don't wear foundation can experience a subtle glow when using this product.

I believe the Pink Light shade is identical to the original MAC Strobe Cream (pre-renewal) color. You can use it as a base and moisturizer, or mix it with foundation or BB cream for a natural application. While it doesn't provide dramatic luminosity, I've heard many people who find it suitable call it their holy grail. It seems to vary from person to person, but personally, I didn't experience any pilling, and there was minimal sliding depending on what base product I used with it. There's a slight scent, but I found it tolerable. I recommend testing it at a MAC counter before purchasing.
ConsI usually never had blemishes, except maybe one small pimple a month due to hormonal changes. However, after I started using Physiogel and MAC Strobe Cream, I began developing small bumps mainly on my cheeks (where I've never had pimples before). This was accompanied by redness, itching, and a stinging sensation, forcing me to stop using both products. I'm not sure what the issue is, but even when I try using them separately, I still experience irritation and itching on my cheeks. It's such a shame because while using it, my skin was definitely moisturized, and despite my very dry skin, I was able to achieve a dewy, glowing makeup look. I'm disappointed it didn't work out. Please test it before buying! I recommend trying it on your body first, not your face or neck, as I didn't have any reactions when applying it to my body.
TipMake sure to test it at a MAC store before purchasing. For those planning to buy Pink Light, get the MAC To Go version. There's a difference in packaging and volume, but it's more cost-effective for the amount you get, and it's more convenient to carry and use!
