I love that it works as both a base mascara and a lash treatment when used alone. It noticeably enhances the effect of any mascara applied afterwards. As someone who prefers dramatically curled lashes, I found that using this after curling my lashes and before mascara caused them to droop. For best results, curl your lashes, apply a light coat of a curling mascara, then use this product before finishing with your regular mascara. The effect is truly impressive! - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedApr 26, 2021
First off, the ingredients seem great, so it's likely to be more nourishing. I use it as a primer, and there's a noticeable difference between using it and not. These days, with masks causing humidity, my curled lashes and mascara keep drooping. But when I apply this before mascara, my lashes stay perfectly curled, which is fantastic. The finish is slightly white and it feels a bit like it's setting. If you're not careful and thorough when applying mascara over it, sometimes the white can show through. - pe*******Dry SkinRecommendedMar 15, 2021
I use this like an eyelash serum, and it seems to reduce lash fallout and strengthen them. When applied before mascara, it definitely makes my lashes look more vibrant and alive. If you apply it in the evening as shown in the photo, you'll end up facing eyelashes that have turned white! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedDec 9, 2020
Since I wasn't going out due to COVID and wasn't using mascara, I just used this as a lash serum. And guess what? My lashes actually grew! They've become darker, and I even have lower lashes now where there were none before. I can actually apply mascara there now! I'm over the moon with happiness. The price? Well, I've heard that effective lash serums usually cost over $100, so this actually feels like a bargain. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinRecommendedSep 6, 2020
I don't use this as a primer, but as a lash serum before bed. I've tried Etude House, Talika, and Kiss Me before, but never saw significant results. However, Dior Show Maximizer truly made my lashes healthier. First off, I noticed a dramatic decrease in lash fallout. As someone with sparse lashes, losing them is really upsetting. It's heartbreaking to see them become even thinner... Who can understand the sadness of going from barely-there lashes to practically non-existent ones? But praise be... Since using Dior Show Maximizer, my lashes have stopped falling out! I'm not sure if it's because they're not falling out or if they've actually thickened, but they do seem fuller! The short shelf life of 6 months after opening and the high price are drawbacks. Another downside is that applying too much can make your lashes look grayish. It would be great if they came out with a black version for daily use. Because of the short shelf life, I'm applying it generously. I'm only using it for my nighttime skincare routine, but I'm thinking about buying another one soon to use in the morning after sunscreen or foundation. - nj*****Combination SkinRecommendedFeb 6, 2020
Applying this before mascara helps the mascara go on smoothly and naturally for a clean look Apart from the wicked price tag, there's really nothing to complain about - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedJun 7, 2019
After using this, when you press your lashes, they're set firmly, maintaining the curl. It boosts both length and volume at least twofold, so even if I use a budget-friendly mascara, I always apply this. I was tempted to buy it because it's more nourishing than most mascara essences. When you first open it, the product doesn't come out well... You need to use it a few times before it dispenses properly. If you don't apply the mascara carefully, white spots can show through, so make sure to apply it thoroughly. If you apply it before putting on sunscreen, by the time you finish your makeup, it's perfectly set. Applying it then helps maintain the curl for an incredibly long time. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 12, 2018
I use this as a base product. It makes my lashes look longer and fuller, which I absolutely love! When I wash my face, it comes off easily without leaving any residue. The product is white in color, so be careful when applying mascara over it. If you're not thorough, the white maximizer might show through. It's pricier than budget brands, but it's worth the investment. - gu******Combination SkinSensitive SkinNov 17, 2017
I have monolids with thick, heavy, and long lashes that never seem to hold a curl, even with an eyelash curler...😢 But since discovering this product, I've finally found something that helps them stay in place! 😄 Some people say to apply it at night too, but when I put it on my eyes, the white color makes it feel a bit like wood glue, so I was skeptical and didn't use it that way. However, by the time I finished one tube, I realized my lashes had grown quite a bit!! That's why I repurchased it. I also love that it reduces lash fallout - it feels like they're getting stronger!? Considering it's a Lancôme product, the ingredients aren't too bad. For Lancôme, that is. ;) For reference, I have extremely sensitive skin around my eyes and most eye creams make them swell up terribly, but I had no adverse reactions to this. Some people mentioned it's hard to remove, but I didn't particularly notice that issue. This last part is subjective, of course. The price point might be a bit burdensome for some. To be honest, I can't really think of any specific drawbacks. I recommend purchasing it duty-free or overseas, like at Sephora. Use your boyfriend's help to get it!!! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 18, 2017
It stays on all day long after curling your lashes! It held up amazingly well even at a windy ski resort. Compared to other mascara fixers, it doesn't clump or pull out your lashes. Absolutely fantastic! If I had to nitpick, I'd say it's pricey? But you probably knew that when buying it! Also, it doesn't give that instant volume effect, so you need to apply multiple coats. If you apply just a light coat after curling, the white color isn't visible, so those with long lashes can achieve a natural look without thick mascara. However, be careful with the amount you apply, as too much can make it look like your lashes are covered in snow.
