  Pros

  Hmm... As a retinol cream, it's gentle enough to be great for beginners. I used it without any worries.

  Cons

  It's too drying! Despite being a cream, it makes my skin feel deeply dehydrated. I always end up applying a hydrating moisturizer after this. The toner has a strange masculine scent... This line is just mediocre overall.

  Pros

  I prefer a rich texture that's still easy to spread, and this product fits that perfectly. Despite its consistency, it causes less skin warmth after application compared to other skincare products.

  Cons

  While I'm only using this in summer, it doesn't completely solve deep dryness. It feels a bit heavy to use before makeup. This is my first retinol product, so I'm not sure about its effects on dead skin cells or pores.

  The texture is like a slightly runny ointment, but wow, it's a game-changer! My skin feels so plump and bouncy the next day after using this.

  Pros

  I had given up on retinol for a while after experiencing severe irritation from retinA cream. However, I heard that Mamonde's product was less irritating and quite effective, so I skeptically purchased it and have been using it for 3 days now. For a retinol cream, it's incredibly gentle and absorbs well. It's too early to speak about its wrinkle-improving effects, so I'll need to use it for longer.

  Cons

  First off, for someone with extremely dry skin like me, this is extremely matte. The texture feels like I've applied a primer. Even though I usually do the 7-skin method and layer my serum 3 times, it still causes deep dryness. I've tried applying more toner and serum, and even slathering on hydrating cream generously, but the deep dryness persists.

  Tip

  I realized that no matter how much toner, serum, or moisturizer I apply, the retinol cream at the end dries everything out. If you have dry skin, don't apply the retinol cream as your last step. Instead, apply a moisturizer after the retinol cream. I finally managed to combat the dryness by finishing with Physiogel DMT and Eucerin Aquaphor after the retinol cream. Now I'm just waiting to see the wrinkle-improving effects.

  Quick review: Gentle + (Somewhat lacking) Moisturizing + No Firming Effect ❌ A decent moisturizer Skin type: Sensitive + Combination dehydrated + Deep nasolabial folds & neck wrinkles Positives: Gentle on the skin! Unlike some creams with skin-improving ingredients that caused blemishes, the Mamonde Bakuchiol Retinol Cream was a pleasant surprise with no such issues!

  Cons

  1. Moisturizing power is disappointing It's marketed as a deeply hydrating firming cream, but I still experienced deep dryness after using it. The hydration seems a bit weak for this product. 2. No improvement in skin firmness... I've always been self-conscious about my neck wrinkles, and my nasolabial folds are getting deeper too. While we can't rely solely on creams, I expected some results given its gentle formula. Unfortunately, I saw absolutely no skin improvement... Looks like a dermatologist might be the answer for wrinkles!

  Tip

  I'd recommend the Vita Panthenol 10 Cream over the Bakuchiol Retinol Cream.

  I have sensitive skin prone to blemishes and deep dryness, with frequent oiliness on the surface. While I don't have severe facial redness, the area under my nose was particularly red, so I always covered it with powder. But after applying this cream, the redness disappeared! It feels firm, almost like it's tightening the skin, and it gives my complexion a subtle glow.

  I applied it all over my face expecting softness and hydration, but it felt like a thin layer adhering to the skin, which was a bit disappointing due to its firmness. Overall, it felt somewhat dry and didn't really address the deep dryness. The tightening sensation seems to cause some skin pulling.

  Tip

  I'll likely use this product on areas with redness, nasolabial folds, or around the eyes. Alternatively, I might finish with a more hydrating product for better results.
