Pros
The MAC Retro Matte Lipstick is so famous that it's a must-try for any lipstick enthusiast. I personally prefer tints over lipsticks, but I received the 707 Ruby Woo as a gift and gave it a try. The subdued red color is not too overwhelming, and it makes my face look radiant, which I find quite appealing.
Cons
Since I mainly use tints, I'm used to good color payoff, but the MAC Lipstick has relatively light coverage and tends to wear off easily.
Tip
Being a matte lipstick, it can sometimes accentuate lip flakiness. So I like to apply a thin layer of Vaseline before putting on the lipstick, or add a touch of clear lip gloss after applying the lipstick. This makes it look much more hydrated and vibrant.

This is the Rubiu color that I've been using consistently from the Mac lip collection! The application is very smooth and there's no clumping. The color is closer to a brick red rather than a bright red,,,, It looks really pretty when you use this color.
Cons
Since it is a lip product, there is some transfer.
