Though it wasn't atopic dermatitis, the itching was intense. Medication only provided temporary relief, not addressing the root cause. Then, by chance, we discovered a cream that stopped the itching. This experience made me realize how crucial it is to find the right moisturizer for children. That's why I applied to test this product. We've been using it consistently since receiving it. It suits my child's skin well, and despite the dry winter, there's been no itching. If the relief continues for about two weeks, I'll be confident that it's providing effective hydration. I'll update on that later!
ConsSince my child has sensitive skin, I tend to apply the product generously. Perhaps because of this, the emulsion sometimes leaves a white residue that needs to be spread out multiple times before it fully absorbs and the whiteness disappears. There is a scent to the product. Initially, the children showed a slight aversion to it (possibly because we've always stuck to fragrance-free products), but they've adapted and are using it without any issues now.

My child usually gets mildly allergic reactions to fragrances, causing itchiness, but this doesn't make them itch at all, which is great. Some products cause tiny bumps and itching, but those usually disappear within an hour. It's been so hard to find shampoos, shower products, and cosmetics that work, but this one hasn't caused any reactions or scratching, which is really wonderful. I dislike artificial scents in cosmetics, and I'm thrilled that this doesn't have any of that.
ConsIt pills. At first, I thought I might be using too much, but even when I reduced the amount, it still pilled. I wondered if it wasn't meant for the face, so I tried it on my body, but it did the same thing. It absorbs perfectly, but it takes time and pills, which is a shame because otherwise, it's good.
TipBecause it tends to pill a bit, I avoid applying multiple layers.

At first, I thought it was odd that the amount didn't depend on how hard I pressed, but I like that it doesn't leave residue around the nozzle.
Cons✓ Application You need to apply it in small amounts at a time. If you apply too much, it pills and takes a while to absorb. You have to massage it in several times for it to fully absorb into the skin. ✓ Price The price is a bit higher than expected, so it might be best to purchase during a sale. ✓ Scent It's marketed as fragrance-free, but rather than being completely unscented, it seems to have a 'scent of no scent', if that makes sense.

For those sensitive to stickiness, this bounciness might feel a bit tacky. You can really feel its strong moisturizing power and a hint of richness! The bouncy texture lingers for ages, so you can tell the hydration is lasting for a long time. Texture: When you press it, it comes out with a thick consistency. It does run a bit, but it's thick enough to hold its shape while I took the photo. Scent: The fragrance isn't artificial at all. Maybe because it doesn't contain artificial fragrances, it smells a bit like baby emulsion. Packaging: It has a double-container structure. They say as you pump, the inner container shrinks, allowing you to use every last drop. We'll have to use it up to really feel the difference, but pump bottles always left a lot at the bottom before, so this is such a brilliant idea!
ConsApplication: When you apply it, it tends to pill and leave white residue. You can see in the last photo that even after rubbing it in several times, there's still a bit left. But if it absorbs well, you can definitely feel how moisturizing it is!

Luckily, I got to try the MEL emulsion through The Hwahae Testers program. I have a baby, so we used it together. The hydration seems to be working well, as my skin's dryness and itchiness have somewhat subsided. After bath time, I apply it to my baby's face and body too. The little one keeps asking for more because it feels so moisturizing!
ConsIt's quite rich, so if you apply it before makeup, it might cause pilling or make your skin look too shiny. Also, it seems to take a while to absorb completely.
TipDon't apply too much at once. Instead, spread a small amount evenly over your skin.

Luckily, I got the chance to try them out myself! Sadly, the little one's not ready to come out yet, so I ended up using them instead. As a mom-to-be right on the cusp of delivery, my skin type has shifted from combination dehydrated to slightly more on the dry side. The product has that classic emulsion texture you'd expect, feeling a tad sticky right after application. But don't worry - it absorbs quickly, leaving a fresh feel. Unless you have very oily skin or it's the height of summer, it shouldn't be a bother. I think it would suit all skin types nicely in the drier fall and winter months. It's fantastic at combating dryness, so I'm planning to stock up on the cream too for the baby when winter hits! I've noticed all my nieces and nephews use Atopalm as well - it's definitely a trusted brand you can rely on. The pump dispenser makes it super convenient to use compared to squeeze tubes. While it's not unscented, the fragrance isn't overpowering at all, so no issues there.
ConsAs mentioned earlier, it has that emulsion texture that spreads smoothly. However, if you're not careful with the amount, you might experience a bit of pilling (similar to the white cast you get with mineral sunscreens). But! It absorbs quickly, so personally, it doesn't bother me much. Still, I thought I'd mention it as a potential downside.

It seems suitable as a family product for everyone from children to adults. ★Functionality Though it may seem minor, the locking mechanism is useful when kids might play with the emulsion or when traveling. Also, it's great that the vacuum double structure allows you to use up all the emulsion (apparently, you shouldn't open it midway as air entering prevents the emulsion from coming out). ★Scent, Texture & Hydration The scent is free from artificial fragrances - more like a natural herbal scent? Personally, I'm not a fan of this scent, but it has that typical natural cosmetics aroma. The texture is softer than I expected, not too thick. The oil and moisture balance is good, so it moisturizes well and seems to last long.
Cons★Volume & Cost When I first saw it, I felt the volume was small enough to fit in one hand. I wonder if a larger size might be available. Also, it seems a bit pricey for the amount you get. ★Application & Absorption It applies smoothly at first, but if you keep rubbing, there's a slight white cast like sunscreen. You need to pat it in to absorb. There was some pilling, and absorption seemed a bit slow. After absorption, the feeling is more sticky than fresh. Comparing it to other brand emulsions I usually use, Atopalm feels more moisturizing but also oilier.
TipApply small amounts and gently pat for better absorption.

My eldest has atopic dermatitis, while my second and third have dry skin but no atopy. Their skin sometimes gets a bit bumpy. We applied the product right after showering, once we'd patted our skin dry. After it was fully absorbed, the moisturizing effect was quite good. We tend to get dry faster than others, but it seemed like the kids' skin stayed hydrated a bit longer. The scent wasn't overpowering, and it seemed great for replenishing moisture. I have combination dehydrated skin that's super sensitive, and my skin quickly becomes itchy or develops blemishes if a product doesn't suit me. However, I didn't experience any blemishes or itching with this :) I also loved how smoothly it applied to the skin.
ConsWhile I was satisfied with most aspects, there was one slight drawback. Although it applied smoothly, it took longer than expected to spread evenly. Instead of instantly absorbing into the skin, you need to massage it in quite a bit. So if you apply too much, it takes a while to fully absorb. When I slathered it on the kids' bodies like I usually do with other products, it pilled like sunscreen, appearing white. But if you keep massaging and spreading it out, it absorbs well and applies nicely! However, this doesn't hinder its use at all, and I plan to keep using it because of its great moisturizing power.
TipIt might be better to apply small amounts frequently rather than using a lot at once.

My child has allergic skin, so they're a bit more sensitive than average. When it's dry, I always use Atopam. It's my first time trying the MLE emulsion, and when I first saw the texture, I was like, 'Huh? Is this really an emulsion?' It's thicker than regular emulsions, but not heavy. It's as moisturizing as a cream and creates a nice hydration barrier. Even though I have cream, this emulsion alone is completely sufficient!
ConsAs a body emulsion, it's a bit pricey. These days, there are many good products that are much more affordable. For facial use, I'd rather choose the ELM cream over the ELM emulsion. I checked on O-pang, and they're the same price for 100ml x 3EA. Also, it doesn't absorb particularly well. It's not exactly a white cast, but you know that white residue you get when applying thick creams? It does that. It eventually absorbs, but it takes a while.

ConsI remember being disappointed that it would pill when used before makeup
TipWhen I apply it generously before bed, my skin doesn't feel tight even the next day
