This product strikes the perfect balance between comfortable subtlety and glamorous flair. When swatched on the back of your hand with the built-in applicator, it appears as a rather intense bronze(?) color that looks dark and rich. However, when applied thinly to the aegyo sal (under-eye area) with a cotton swab or small brush, the pearls shine through while the dark base color is barely noticeable. This creates a very different and prettier effect compared to the hand swatch! When it first became popular, I tried it at the store and passed on it because it seemed too dark and intense. But later, when I saw how beautiful it looked on my friend and found out it was this product, I ended up buying it belatedly. It's ethereal without being excessive, and the pearls never look cheap. Instead, they give a dewy appearance that's absolutely stunning. Sometimes, pearl pigments can look like cheap glitter with obvious square shapes, but this one, befitting its price and reputation, looks luxurious and beautiful. I love that you can adjust the intensity from a subtle shimmer to a strong sparkle depending on how much you apply. A light application allows for a subtle pearl effect on the aegyo sal for everyday wear, while building it up creates a glamorous sparkle that's perfect for statement looks or more intense makeup. The color is versatile enough to complement any eyeshadow shade. It blends seamlessly with any style or color palette. It's neither too yellow-gold, nor too pink, nor too cyber-white silver - it's amazingly versatile and suits just about anything. The pearls give a dewy, radiant effect, and the particle size is perfect for the aegyo sal. They're not so chunky as to look unnatural or overwhelming for daily wear, nor are they so fine as to be barely noticeable. They're just right - beautiful and pleasant. This product really nails that sweet spot between comfortable subtlety and glamorous flair. If you apply it thinly close to the lower lash line, it makes your under-eye area look dewy, your eyes clearer and prettier, and even gives the illusion of slightly enlarged eyes, eliminating any sense of heaviness! (I found this effect works best when applied thinly near the lower lash line rather than thickly all over the aegyo sal) It pairs perfectly with the Ecmul 01 brush. Using this brush is a game-changer compared to using cotton swabs, fingers, lip brushes, or bullet brushes. It's like upgrading the same liquid shadow to a different product altogether! I highly recommend the Ecmul 01 brush. It's great for both light and thick applications, and it applies the product evenly and delicately. It's also very easy to use. You don't need any special technique - it naturally controls the amount and applies thinly and evenly. Its small and delicate size makes it easy to apply precisely in narrow areas. The built-in applicator is unusable, but with the Ecmul brush, this product truly feels upgraded to the next level. The staying power is also excellent. Being a liquid type, there's no powder or pearl fallout, and it lasts a long time. It dries quickly after application, and once it sets, it really stays put. I've never had pearls fall onto my cheeks, and it always stays intact until I get home. The aegyo sal area never looks patchy. For reference, I have oily skin, and even in the middle of a 36°C summer heatwave, wearing a mask all day with my oily skin, it stayed perfectly in place! It's also a versatile shade that doesn't lean too warm or cool. You don't have to stick to only pink pearls for cool tones or yellow-gold for warm tones. As long as the color isn't too extreme or overpowering, most pearl shades can work well. I'm a very cool-toned person (light undertone that's very temperature sensitive), but this worked comfortably well for me. I usually stick to cool, colorless pearls, but surprisingly, this suited me well. Even though I usually can't tolerate even slightly yellow tones, this was fine. I recommend giving it a try! I have four colors of this product at home, and while other products can be tone-specific, this one surprisingly works across different skin tones.
ConsThe built-in applicator is really subpar. Even the mini tip that was released later isn't up to the task for delicate aegyo sal application. The Ecmul 01 brush is an absolute must-have as a set. Even if you try to use the built-in applicator on your eyelids, it applies the product too thickly and unevenly, with poor control over the amount. It's questionable whether the built-in applicator is actually usable at all! The store had a discount on this version with the original tip rather than the mini tip, so I bought it again. But since I'll be using a brush anyway, it doesn't matter. In fact, the thicker original tip is better for coating the brush. It's a bit on the pricier side, and while it comes in a large quantity, it tends to thicken and dry out after 1-2 years. You can't use it for too long before needing to buy a new one, so the large amount feels a bit wasteful. It would be great if they could slightly reduce the price and offer a mini version - that would be really useful! Since I mainly use it for the aegyo sal, I use very small amounts each time. It's almost impossible to use it all up before it dries out, and even if you use a clean brush and try to keep it hygienic for as long as possible, it still ends up drying out, which feels a bit wasteful. I've bought a total of 4 different colors of this product so far, and this applies to all of them! Also, while it's not a major drawback, it does have a bit of bulk to it. You can really feel the volume when putting it in your makeup pouch or storing it. And since you need a separate brush, the square shape always felt a bit bulky compared to other products.
TipUsing this with the Ecmul 01 brush, rather than a cotton swab, truly transforms the quality of the same product. It applies thinly and evenly, making it easy for even those with less makeup experience to use precisely. The thin, even application also improves longevity and is so convenient. The brush has synthetic bristles, is easy to maintain, comes in a pretty sky blue color, and I remember it costing only around 9,000 won. I bought it for aegyo sal application over a year and a half ago, and I've been using it daily ever since. I highly recommend it. Compared to using cotton swabs, it's much easier to apply, looks prettier, and lasts longer. After getting the Ecmul brush 01, I found myself using this product much more frequently. If you apply it too thickly, it actually reduces longevity and the pearls tend to wear off easily. A thin, even application lasts much longer. If you want a stronger effect, apply a thin, even layer, let it dry completely, then repeat the process, building up layers. This works much better. For a more dimensional look, try applying a powder eyeshadow with subtle, fine shimmer (not liquid, but from a palette) all over the aegyo sal area, then layer this Stila product thinly just below the lower lash line in a narrow area. Alternatively, you could use all matte eyeshadows and then add this pearl product just under the eyes for a pop of shine. This brightens the eyes, makes them look more open, adds a dewy liveliness, and creates a beautiful focal point!

When I swatched it on the back of my hand, it looked dark, and I wondered, 'Will this work for my aegyo sal?' But when applied, it's not like that at all. It's absolutely dazzling - the ultimate bling-bling effect!
ConsWhen I use this product alone, glitter particles keep getting into my eyes, which is extremely painful. I bought the version with a thin built-in applicator, but it's still better to use a different brush for precise application of the highlight.

Along with Make Up For Ever's Diamond Glitter, these are two products you simply can't do without. They're the best for creating stunning accent points. The glitter is incredibly beautiful.
ConsThe built-in applicator isn't meant for direct application (it applies way too much product). You absolutely need to use a cotton swab instead!
TipUsing the built-in applicator will ruin your look. For best results, use a cotton swab to pick up a small amount and apply it carefully to your aegyo sal area.

The color isn't overwhelming, which is impressive for such a glamorous pearl product. I find myself reaching for it quite often.
ConsThe most crucial aspect is controlling the amount you use. Applying it directly with the built-in applicator can be too intense, so you'll need a brush or cotton swab for better application.

It stays put and doesn't fade away even as time passes.
ConsYou need to be careful with the amount you use. The built-in applicator is a bit blunt, so it's essential to use a separate brush to apply it more precisely.

Even with just a small amount, the area under my eyes instantly brightens up! It sets quickly too.
ConsYou need to control the amount carefully to avoid an overdone look and achieve a pretty effect, but it's a bit tricky to manage with the built-in applicator. Since it sets rather quickly, if you misjudge the amount, you might end up having to redo your eye makeup.

The color is a natural grayish beige, perfect for those who find white pearl overwhelming. It's not particularly warm or cool-toned, so I'd recommend it to everyone. But if you're like me, struggling with eyeshadow and relying on glitter for that summer glow, you absolutely must buy this! It sets quickly and has excellent staying power, so the glitter stays put without migrating, allowing for a clean, polished look. Some might find it too sparkly, but if you use a thin brush instead of the built-in applicator and gently dab and blend it on your eyes, it's perfectly suitable for daily wear. It's versatile too - pair it with light makeup for a fresh look, or with heavier makeup for a glamorous effect.
ConsThe built-in applicator is practically useless and very difficult to work with. While it's inconvenient to have to use a separate brush, the product is so beautiful that it's worth the extra effort!
TipFor the prettiest effect, leave the innermost part of your aegyo sal (under-eye fat pad) bare, and apply a thin layer just about 1 cm below your pupil.

The rosy base makes it a great staple for both warm and cool skin tones. The shimmer particles are silver, and they're on the larger side, perfect for when you want a glamorous makeup look! As a liquid formula, it has excellent staying power. It sets well, and most importantly, there's no fallout of glitter! This is a must-apply product for your aegyo-sal (under-eye area)!
ConsThe built-in applicator can be a bit thick, making it challenging to apply sometimes. I always use a separate brush for application.
TipThis pairs amazingly with Make Up For Ever's Diamond Powder in Champagne! Since the glitter particles are large and might be overwhelming on their own, here's a pro tip: First, pick up some of this product on your brush, then dip into the Make Up For Ever Diamond Powder. This technique helps control any excess shimmer and creates a beautifully subtle sparkle! The combination of these two products is absolutely fantastic!

It's absolutely stunning for everyday use. The shimmer is truly ethereal and stays put even after hours of wear. While there are many affordable dupes for Kitten Karma out there, nothing quite matches the sophistication of the original.
ConsThe built-in applicator is a bit thick, making it somewhat challenging to apply precisely. However, I've heard that a mini-tip version has recently been released exclusively in Korea, which might be easier to use. Another downside is the price - I wish they'd reduce the quantity and lower the cost accordingly. I bought it mainly to highlight my aegyo sal (under-eye area), but at this rate, it seems like it'll last a lifetime!

I was looking for a shadow that doesn't have fallout because I get tired of it quickly, so I ended up buying this one. I usually use shimmery gray or silver shadows, but the Stila Kitten Karma has a light orange color with glitter that just glistens beautifully♡ Even if I just lightly apply it on top of other shadows, I'm really satisfied with how pretty it looks.
ConsThe built-in applicator is a bit difficult to apply the product thinly. But they also sent a brush, so I was able to apply it nicely with that. The brush is also really pretty.
